Yo! Relatively new to car stuff and never installed anything electrical before. This video not only sold me on the head unit but helped a ton with the installation. And if that weren’t enough- when I had questions about the back up cam, I DM’d RevCircle and he took the time to respond and explain even further!!! 5 stars plus to this channel. Instant sub. Thank man 💯
I was about to buy a $659 head unit that does everything the same as this one until I saw that price for the low and just bought it. Dang man you’re killing it with these vids, keep it up! 💪🏼👌🏼
Thanks for the video, man! Will use it as a guide for installation, also opted for the XE model, as it seemingly has a better screen. One question though - you said that the harness you were using was incompatible and you updated it in the list, but I noticed that the connections on that harness were a bit different, it had fewer cables and a couple rca outs. Does that make the installation process more difficult, or is it still streamlined?
It was still streamlined, hardest part is knowing which port to plug the rca connections to but that all depends on the unit you have and the manual should help map that. If not, let me know and I’ll pull my screen out if you need a reference
@@revcircle Thanks again! I expect it to arrive at the end of March, given that I do not live in the US, but if I encounter problems, I'll let you know. Keep it up with the banger content dude!
@@revcircleif performance has degraded at all, any lagginess/responsiveness changes. Also your personal opinion on if its worth buying. Who you think the correct crowd for this head unit would be.
most people would buy these kinds of head units but there are many concerns of longtime performance and reliability. Definitely a video on this woudl be very helpful
Hey! Awesome video and dumb question.. Where did you get the metal brackets for the unit? Did they come with unit? Did you take them from the old radio?
Mine came with the OEM unit, I just reused the metal brackets to connect to the one supplied by the ATOTO radio unit. However, I've seen some mounting brackets on Amazon with the face plate, however I haven't used it myself to know if its good or not: www.amazon.com/dp/B01GW6DE9E?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamztridnguy-20&creativeASIN=B01GW6DE9E&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.1COWB8MW8ANAJ&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d_asin
The white connector was this: amzn.to/4hAtBw7, I used this before realizing it wasn't compatible with my stock bose amplifier, but this is good for if you have an aftermarket speaker / amplifier system. I switched to the blue connector with RCA plugs later so could work with the RSX bose speaker system as seen in this list: www.amazon.com/shop/revcircle/list/1COWB8MW8ANAJ?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d
hey, quick question i was just confused why is there two double din kit brackets in your amazon list. do i need both or which one do i buy? thankyou in advance
Sorry, I had added an extra because someone needed a special bracket. Get the Metro face plate only if you still have your OEM unit, I just reused the metal brackets to connect to the one supplied by the ATOTO radio unit. Get the IMC one as it gives a few extra brackets to mount the ATOTO unit.
Does your radio come with the stupid speed sensor wire aka vss wire like my Kenwood deck did? If so do you know how to bypass it to where I can play video while driving etc? Do I need a switch to bypass it or is there a simple way to bypass to where I can use all my radios features while the car is in motion?
Sound is great, its using the OEM speakers, but more control with the interface. However, the ATOTO unit does get a bit slow sometimes, some latency in clicks. Probably the unit isnt super fast in processing/RAM
So at the time I made the video, I put a wire harness that wasn't compatible with the my rsx stock bose amplifier. Then I had to reorder the harness that worked with my amplifier. The list I provided is the second I got which is a blue plug with RCA connectors, wiring is the same.
make sure u have constant + its a white/red wire, had same issue, turns out i blew a fuse while touching the wires, fuse 9 underhood was blown. i took the 7.5 amp fuse from ceiling lights(number 3) to replace it while i find another one. RSX type s 2002. im a bit late but hope it helps

Glad to hear it. Thanks for the encouragement and motivation to keep going with these vids.
What did you do to secure the color matched wires together? Did you just squeeze the red part to secure them?
Just bought it will be here Saturday morning I’ll let you know when I’m done with it
Nice. Good luck! I recently made another video about the rear wiring if needed, was helping another person: ruclips.net/video/Non6GhIuFoQ/видео.html
Do you have to have the car battery unplugged while installing this?
Awesome job!!! I want the same stereo system setup
Thanks the the nice comment

You should do a year review of the atoto ! Video of how it’s performing now
That's a good idea. I was considering it. What specific things are you interested in knowing or just generally how it's performing.

Can you show us the hook up at the back of the head unit for the rear camera? Pink and red wire? And the trunk?
I can try to take apart my trunk area and film it. Might be able to get a quick video for next week. Stay tuned, will reply back when i do

@@revcircle thanks man! I got it working
How has the head unit been holding up? Any issues?
It's been doing good, no issues. I think it runs slow sometimes, but its solid for a cheap unit

i touched the amp wire with the rga cable for the back up camera, it sparked and turned off my whole system and it won’t turn on

@@manuelmorel-cq3kb if not using your OEM mounts, I’d get the IMC one and skip the 2 Metro items. The IMC has both the mounts, faceplate and harness.

Yes it should work with automatic no problem. Back up can still wires to parking light to initiate upon going in reverse gear
