@@tunkunrunk I found more than just hair in various VCRs. It was also: a pin, a children's hairpin, a pencil, a bottle cap, a piece of wood, a screw, cockroaches, and even a remote control.
@@technologywins Maybe you could help me Sir . I own a VCR branded RCA , it is written "manufactured in Britain". I dug the internet in search for manual or any kind of information about this VCR with no luck . it has some kind of tuner dedicated to Canal+ an encrypted French premium television Channel . The head rubber /band is broken into small pieces and I need it replacement
It is now difficult to find instruction manuals for older VCRs. I have many VCRs and I only found one manual for a 1985 Philips VCR. Spare parts are also difficult to find. Sometimes they sell broken VCRs inexpensively and you can get the necessary spare parts from there.@@tunkunrunk
1:51 You are also was forgetted about of Four belt as I do be descript of Jaarex's {from Poland} piece at About. Im trying to find a square belt that is 190mm in length and 1.5mm in thickness but so far had no luck. There are a bunch of listings for 1mm thick so I’m wondering if going for those is a good idea?
WARNING! Don´t buy modern Funai vcr´s (1997-2016). They are plastic, China crap which breaks always. If you had one i recommend to clean mode select switch, because it makes many problems with VCR (tape eating is worst). Have a nice day.
It just so happened that I recently bought Funai (I recorded a video but have not published it yet). It really looks cheap (the top cover is plastic, this is the first time I’ve encountered this).
Funai made very weird machines, for example Magnavox DV200MW8 which is DVD Player and mono VCP. Yeah it´s combo with both VHS and DVD players and Funai made alot of vcrs to another companies (Magnavoy, Philips, Sanyo, Sylvania...). I recommend to clean mode switch, because I have 2 Funai branded vcrs and they needed it. First versions {as of 1993-1996} are be so much more crapiest than a Modern version because so some Models as European {Funai WD6D}/Japanese {DX Broadtec} Combo Recorders or VCRs {Philips VR550} with Hi-Fi Stereo are has Black winders at both side when can be Rewinds less than Three minutes of E180/T120 tapes - when only of "Shintom 2nd generation bases Mechanism" {and some who Shintom aren't be so much bases as Funai VCR-8103/8307} and of some Modern Funai Mechanism bases are be can recommend without of some more Problems - also only Magnavox at NTSC version are has "White winder" when can winds so much slowly.
where do you put the 4th belt? i have the same system and the belts broke, i put a new one like but i don t know how to put the 4th one on the big wheel? can you help me please, this is the only video where i found the same mechanism that my parents 35 years old vcr has
I didn't have such a belt. That's why I didn't install it. There should be a wide belt on the big wheel, I showed it in the video at 2:55 (I made a red outline).
@@technologywins do you know how the belt was connected there? I mean where did it go from the big wheel, what wheels should be spining if the belt was there
In this episode I changed the belt drive on my VCR.
I'm not a master, I'm just learning.
So don't take this video as a tutorial. 🙂
1:33 a woman's hair inside the VCR ? 🤣

I have a vcr that uses EXACTLY same mechanism called TEAC MV-550. but it has a different head and a different motor.

I've tried other belts. It worked. But this may affect the sound or video quality.
