*1-1 Mentorship Information: Price & Structure (Maximum Capacity = 20 Clients Per Year)*
It's an absolute pleasure to film these RUclips videos, and I feel fortunate to receive an abundance of meaningful messages every week, but I am unfortunately faced with the disappointing reality of turning away the vast majority of people who want to work together.
I have significantly limited availability and can only support twenty people per year because I do not offer one-off calls or drop-in consulting sessions.
Twenty individuals might not sound like maximum capacity, but the last few years of teaching have taught me the importance of maintaining tight energetic boundaries if I want to keep uploading these free videos in addition to serving my current clients to the best of my ability in 2024.
To minimise confusion and enhance transparency, I've spent several hours writing this ridiculously long comment to help you decide if my Inner Work Mentorship is the right choice for your development & what you could reasonably expect from working closely together.
Please take the time to read this service description before contacting me on Instagram… or feel free to stop reading right now if you’re not interested in my fees, session structure, client expectations, etc.
    ...
    *READ BEFORE SCROLLING FURTHER:*
I'm interested in long-term change and structural transformation, which is why I've never offered one-off sessions.
Complex issues cannot be resolved in a few hours, but we likewise need to define an upper limit for containment and collaboration.
I've learned that deep and enduring self-integration requires at least four months of immersive effort. Why four months? It's enough weekly contact for us to work through multiple complex issues and developmental possibilities, but short enough to mitigate against unconscious co-dependency and motivational stagnation.
I'm currently accepting a maximum of two new clients per month - message me after reading the following section to check my availability.
    ...
*HOW I WORK & WHO I WORK WITH*
Unlike other coaches and teachers who take an understandably more relaxed approach to healing and integration, my mentorships are characteristically intense.
This is a highly-demanding, high-investment process which requires our consistent combined effort over a period of four months.
If we were to start working together, I would reasonably expect you to be excited to show up for a minimum of 10+ hours of self-motivated transformative practice per week (daily reading, fitness routine, creative exercises, spiritual reflection, etc.) while also maintaining full-sobriety (no drink, no drugs, no cigarettes, no vapes).
These strict standards of discipline and sobriety are plainly unsuitable for most people in most situations - even genuinely motivated individuals who resonate with my RUclips videos may not be the right match for four months of structured mentorship.
If you want to get deeper, I've noticed that there's a certain type of ‘temperament' & 'timing’ to get the most out of me.
I'm interested in alert, creative and purpose-driven individuals who aspire to exceptional standards of self-maturation and would enjoy the feeling of going through week-on-week of progressively stacked transformative experiences for a third of a year: my ideal client is somebody who is willing to bring forward their internal complexity with a sense of courage and transparency with the intention of nothing less than full-spectrum transformation & rapid acceleration on their personal path.
I am yet to discover another supportive figure who offers something comparable to this mentorship: a four-month, structured yet flexible 1-1 container which is simultaneously therapeutic, academic and action-oriented; with primary focus placed on tangible improvements in your felt sense of self-knowledge and self-integration; in addition to making consistent and meaningful progress towards your unique goals and mentorship aspirations.
I prioritise contact, compassion and accountability, which means that your work never really 'ends' at the end of your session. You can reasonably expect to be fed dozens of customised reading suggestions and follow-on perspectives outside of the formal sessions via friendly and informal messenger contact, where I am active and available four days per week to cultivate an intimate personal connection while likewise enhancing your positive momentum via accountability check-ins and additional support as required.
By way of conclusion for what feels like an extraordinarily long comment and service description, I feel compelled to once more emphasise that working directly with me is unrealistic for most people in most situations.
I often support people who are accustomed to wrestling with the emotional challenges associated with working through complex wounds in previous therapeutic relationships before we begin our coaching work together. Even individuals without 'hard trauma' can expect moments of pressurised darkness and heaviness during periods of shadow contact as you begin to restructure your personal unconscious. We will be exploring your psyche and soma at scale and depth, and it will be your responsibility to keep me informed about the emotional texture of your internal reality, especially if you encounter negatively charged experiences, and I will of course do everything in my power to support you through the hard times as we integrate the darkness and move forwards together.
RUclips is a wonderful place for me to share free research resources and offer accessible inner work invitations; my private mentorships, however, are the place for collaborative partnership and emotional security as we identify, navigate and restructure oftentimes confronting and challenging conscious and unconscious physical, emotional and mental material.
Ultimately, this is a highly-demanding but highly-rewarding process which requires the best of our shared intentions.
    ...
    *SESSION STRUCTURE & FEES:*
The total fee for an Inner Work Mentorship (including 12 x 2 hr sessions) is £7,400 GBP or approximately $9,400 USD. This is my only coaching programme, and my mentorship pricing is liable to adjustment over time.

Each private session lasts two hours, and is facilitated via Telegram video call at an ideal time for both of us. Your mentorship extends over a linear four-month period, with a total of twenty-four hours of structured session time, in addition to four days per week of unlimited messenger availability for accountability updates, voice note exchanges and informal calls upon occasion. I do not work on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays, but I am fully-available across all timezones for regular calls and messenger contact on Thursday - Sunday.
If you’ve scrolled this far, and resonate with what I’m offering, I invite you to message me on Instagram. It would be my pleasure to start exploring your goals and intentions in real-time.
IMPORTANT: I am an intentionally independent coach, and not a licensed therapist or associated with any professional bodies or coaching institutions, and therefore enjoy the freedom to collaborate with my clients across all areas of life in an intimate, direct and highly involved coaching style. I work with no more than twenty people per year, and am currently accepting a maximum of two new clients per month. I also manage my own inbox and do not use automated systems or employ people to pretend to be me on Instagram, which means that it usually takes four to six weeks for me to respond to new messages and begin the interview process. Although my approach takes time, I hope you ultimately appreciate my personal emphasis on authentic and confidential communication from the very beginning of our relationship. I once again encourage you to message me immediately if you want to start working together within the next two months - bump yourself to the top of my inbox, and I’ll send you some voice notes to get our conversation started.

David Hawkins books have helped me immensely during a period when I was at my lowest point. It was the year 2015 when I resigned from my job due to the toxicity of the workplace. I felt embarrassed and a sense of shame for being unemployed for the first time. My family didn't know and I would pretend to go to work when in actual fact, I spent the whole day in the library. Thankfully, those bad days are gone. His books got me into spirituality and in Buddhism and A Course in Miracles. I have to admit, that his book, The Power of Force was a hard read. Luckily, it quickly made sense as I read his other books like "The Eye of the I," and "Transcedening the level of Consciousness."

Letting go! That's my favourite of Dr. Hawkins book. I can't believe the enormous improvement it's made, in just a few months. I was stuck in fear for a large portion of my life but now in courage.... My mood still fluctuates but if it's a negative emotion, I realize it very quickly and am back in presence. My circumstances have not changed but I have. It's incredible.
    Thanks for the video x

I think the idea of Hawkins is that we have a 'chronic' emotional level, where we reside for most of the time, while we also move up and down the scale during any given day, as you point out. As a therapist I observe that as I work with clients and their life force energy is gradually disentangled and released, they do rise up these emotional scales in terms of their chronic mood and emotions.

Dr. Hawkins explains on his lectures that most people move up and down on the levels but there’s a main force that drives the persona and that would be your baseline calibration. That doesn’t mean the person only experiences that level all the time. As your baseline gets higher you experience less and less the lower levels. I’m not speaking from a concept standpoint This is a personal reality for me, I have experientially move to a baseline level where the lower levels are a distant memory.
To really understand how this is possible read his other book Letting Go; the partway of surrender.

Good point, although this doesn’t necessarily work as a reliable strategy for dispelling the origins of certain emotions. Difference between letting steam drift away vs draining the swamp to minimise frequency of certain undesirable experiences! Wishing you all my best 🌲

I agree with your sentiments in this video. In my life, "negative" emotions have led to many "positive" outcomes. My "reactive fear" etc have led to being cautious, prepared, and successful. In many cases, being overly "joyful" have led into pits of indulgence and time wasting behavior, which could arguably be against my supposed self-interest. In nature, emotions have no positive or negative valence. They exist for a purpose. Sometimes, they work for us, sometimes they work against us. The whole "positivity movement" has led to a lot of people being dishonest with others and themselves about how they are emotionally interpreting the conditions of their lives. A position of true gratitude and acceptance IMPLIES the reality of hardship, guilt, fear, and pain. It is a comparison function. Enlightenment itself is often described as deeply, deeply NEUTRAL, not positive. It is without qualification, void of form or meaning or content, without emotion or thought. Sleep is not "good", it's only "good" if you are tired and need sleep. Enlightenment is only good if you if you have the goal of being liberated from suffering. Hopefully, what I'm saying isn't overly reductionist towards the theories espoused by Hawkins. That's just my first reaction to this visual of a rainbow of emotions from bad to good.

Dude, great job, seriously. The way you explain this was perfect for me. My wife is very much into Abraham Hicks and vibrational states and all that stuff and it kind of doesn't jive with me. I mean I get it but I have always been saying that the reason that we are here on this earth, at least in a big way, is to gain emotional maturity. I really like the way you tied all this together. Perfect explanation.

Hi Jordan, you mentioned the complexity of navigating the map of consciousness whilst trying to ascend it. For me, I have found it easier to distinguish 2 emotional states, your default emotional state, this is the one you spend most of your time being, you can use a diary of your feelings over a period of time to chart this if you don't have someone to test it for you. Then you have transient emotions, so ones you go into dependent on the situation, eg you go to a party with lots of friends and you are having fun, so you go in and out of this state. The key to utilising the map is to target your key emotional ranges (Joy, Love and peace, I say this because we inherently desire the greatest happiness and lives filled with love and lives that are fulfilled) Then you need to inspect every moment and decide what feelings would serve you best to realise this life most effectively. When you have done the ground work and everymoment becomes a much fuller actualisation of the life you desire you can move into enlightenment which this is at a larger scale with grander inspirations to guide you. Just my 2 pence worth! Will

Hawken's model assumes that levels of consciousness are correlated with emotions but I argue that all emotions are experienced at every level. Emotions are temporary states while development occurs in progressive and permanent stages.
Emotions are not themselves indicators of levels of consciousness, rather it is how one regulates and interprets them that determines one's stage of development. If joy and love were indicators of higher levels of consciousness, then everyone who fell in love would make better decisions but as we see by the high divorce rates, that is clearly not the case.
As I progress, I continue to feel fear and anger but I regulate them and investigate the belief systems that they stem from. When investigated, I can evaluate whether this belief is correct or not.
I think of the "vibrational model" as Santa Claus for adults, where rewards are only attained by performing certain "good deeds". In this case, one can will only receive the gift of enlightenment if one views the world from a perspective that yields positive emotions.
It seems like a sneaky tool to help people upregulate their emotions, bringing them into a more relaxed state where their stress regulatory systems can repair, leading to clearer cognitive functions and improved health.
However, learning how to regulate negative emotions requires that one experiences them.
This model discourages people from experiencing negative emotions that should be felt and evaluated as emotions are the best indicators of our beliefs. Negative emotions also also how we develop empathy, resilience and tolerance.

    • @jordanthornton
      @jordanthornton  3 месяца назад

Yes, great comment. Shame is a fantastic example of the nuance of multi-level emotional consciousness. I likewise take issue with shame being the bottom of the spectrum because there is a place for healthy, appropriate and even life-affirmative shame when we are aiming for moral good. Thanks for taking the time to write this nuanced point.

From a spiritual perspective, it would make sense to say that the Holy trinity is a symbol of higher consciousness, or states of mind and/ being. Even the cross' symbolism is linked with chakras because when we say God the father we point the head(enlightenment), God the son we point the heart(love) and God the Holy spirit we point horizontally symbolizing the dualistic nature of all that is(correct me if I'm wrong) Different subjects all explaining the same thing ... We are in charge of ourselves, our divinity our healing everything... And the Holy trinity/(higher consciousness) is here to help light the path through knowledge, wisdom and understanding. Heaven(love) and Hell(fear) are states of mind. Inner work is absolutely necessary!

You explained this perfectly! I recently went to a holistic practitioner who had a quantum resonance magnetic analyzer test and part of this analysis was a section titled "human consciousness level." It measured everything from shame all the way to enlightenment. According to the normal range on my report, I had low shame, desire, pride, neutrality, and enlightenment. Everything else was normal. Could you please help me interpret what these lowered categories could mean (i.e. how to work on healing those parts of myself)? Thanks!

*INNER WORK ESSENTIALS - TEACHING INTENTIONS & STATEMENT OF DIRECTION*
    1) *Provide* the student with an informed and representative overview of multiple complementary therapeutic modalities to support their self-healing process; with special encouragement placed upon the auto-therapeutic application of holistic healing modalities for particular problems at particular stages in their journey.
    2) *Nourish* the intellectual and spiritual maturation of the student by familiarising them with the most exciting, challenging and credible concepts in developmental psychology, consciousness studies and transpersonal metaphysics; with central emphasis being placed upon comparative analysis of multiple complex theories.
    3) *Encourage* an empowered and more authentic sense of individual self-expression as a combined outcome of the two previous intentions, plus the application of holistic lifestyle principles, self-educational practises, and foundational healthy habits.
*EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES (what you'll get from these videos)*
*On completion of this series, the student should expect to be:*
    1) *Auto-therapeutic* . The student will feel generally competent in their ability to select and self-administer the most suitable therapeutic modality on a full-spectrum basis: ranging from the somatic resolution of central childhood wounds to the everyday self-regulation of symptomatic stress responses such as anxiety and addiction.
    2) *Closer towards baseline integral consciousness (Wilber).* Through their combined efforts of rigorous self-inquiry and critical engagement with recommended reading material, the student will have significantly developed their intellectual and spiritual maturity to a noticeable degree, in likely correlation with their depth of engagement.
    3) *Holistically Empowered* . The student will enjoy a meaningful expansion of their physical, emotional, sexual, and creative expression as a result of their healing and expansion work. In short, they will be healthier, happier and feel more complete.
    4) *Self-educational* . The student will have felt organically inspired to move beyond free video content and create a self-structured learning arc which takes maximum advantage of at least several dozen inner working books mentioned within the course. The student will consequently enjoy lifelong learning habits including: critical research skills, long-term focus, and the ability to know when to stop studying.

Hawkins test the muscles of the solar plexus, if you need less "spiritual" (light) information, and more scientific (temporal) information, David Bohm and Pribram's work on the Holonomic brain theory may be useful to you. They both put general relativity and quantum mechanics together, finding something (matter) coming out of nothing (2 interacting quantum fields), so what one may call spiritual, another may call a potential. What do you have the potential to create? no need for debate, the truth has been manifested, the truth is, Jesus Christ, the way and the life. Christ already did the work that David Hawkins writes about, his name alone radiates at 750 hertz.

If one wishes to have some more clarity on this topic anyone is welcome to ask a question.
Think of the scale of consciousness and associated level as a rudder all the states are continuous, Climate vs Weather. The more energetic states are not for the faint of heart, the more energy will ‘boil’ away one’s sense of identity as it fades into the Allness of the unmanifest. Maintain the courage to keep experiencing, one will naturally gravitate to what is suitable.
Recommended to see the scale as not higher or better than previous levels rather to observe that each state is just a different quality. All are equally useful, the temperature metaphor is excellent for this paradigm of thinking, ice isn’t less than steam just a different quality of expression.
For the Blue eyes agreed Jung would be a solid mentor to deep dive into.
The above is CL bout 865 on par with Power vs Force.

It amazes me how a huge part of humanity is, at this point in time, still trying to bypass knowing how to deal with and feel emotions. It's like trying to drive downhill, blindfolded, in a suspensionless car, on a bumpy road, with the GPS off. (lol)
What an interesting inflection point in the series. There's an underrated pertinence in bringing up this kind of perspective to the "palatable" approach of the new-age guys. They were a very much welcomed step in the journey of accepting our soft side, as a relational species. But it's tiresome this broken record of simplification.
Oh, and is it just me that thinks about thermodynamics when I see this chart? >< It sounds awfully like the concepts of entropy to me, but the real one, not the popular erroneous idea of disorder. If you think of the levels of energy being evenly distributed throughout a system, until the point of total equilibrium. Sort of like our internal systems, they tend to go towards this point when reactions/emotions even out as we go along this healing process. Of course, it never reaches this point in actuality because there are constantly new variables entering our perception. But I consider the fact that we are able to ease inside our existence some sort of correlation to mastering (or not) the balancing of the levels of entropy. Hence, the state of our world... Too much and it evens out: stasis = death. Too little: chaos and havoc = lunacy. I guess we're good in the middle, keeps the life flowing and doesn't necessarily consume loads of energy, right? ; D

Emotional intelligence - and I mean real intelligence as applied to Self and Other - is criminally underrated for personal wellbeing and sense of clarity! You have a great mind when it comes to engaging with these episodes, I love it!
Casually bringing in some thermodynamics principles to compliment the emotional 'hierarchy' - such a novel perspective, I like it! Wonderfully written comment again too, Fran!

The first three levels are the soul alarm system , the second three are the names that are under the control of the “ brain identify” ( the partner), the other six levels are the names that are under control of the “spiritual identity”. You are in certain levels of those spiritual names or let say goodness names ( names from pride to peace), those names are motivated by anger and love energy . As you notice most names that are of anger character are controlled by “brain identity” while others which are of love character, are controlled by “spiritual identity”. In general the identity consists of two things which are ego and freewill . You are here to level up all those names by self awareness which require life experience. also you are here to get the maximum general awareness you can achieve by the things you best can do . but why you need to level up those names?!! you need to level up your of awareness in general and level up your goodness as both are the one which determined your ability to be happier. So to have a higher ability of become happier is the target , you life is a chance of achieving this goal , where your spiritual identity is not able by itself to level up your awareness and level up your goodness names which are of anger character. that is why for your spirit to integrated with your body. that integration created “the brain identity” , which it's main function is to level up awareness in general by knowing (your spiritual awareness and your brain awareness) , so now you have two identity inside your soul which are , the spiritual identity and the your brain identity. The healthy state is when your brain identity is under your spiritual identity control so it leads the level up process in healthy way where you will be happier. The unhealthy state when the opposite happened.
You alarm system works when you do things which decrease the your goodness level and your awareness level and also works when your brain identity is totally in control. If you destroy your alarm system, you will not have a sense for all that process either you are in a positive or on a negative state. In the same time you don't need to have the alarm system overwhelm you , just expect that “this is mental state is out of my alarm system and let it go” , So be careful of what you are programming yourself. One more thing, you alarm system has reseat point, it means if you insisted to be in low level of you previous awareness and righteousness level, the alarm system will rest itself to that level after a while, so if you decided again to go less than that level the system will work a gain to alarm you . where if you get a very low level where your alarm system become so strong at that time you may be overwhelmed by that system so maybe at that time maybe look kill yourself to end your suffering which is the wrong decision. The model I explained is the “Islamic model”

So glad you dive into the complexity of emotions in this video. I read "Map of Consciousness" about a month ago and I liked how Hawkins was able to articulate "Love" as a core state of being. Moving from positional perception to multidimensional vision. I thought he wrote well on the "perceptional" aspect of consciousness but the emotional descriptions were a bit lacking. Can someone weep (grieve) and be in a state of love? I think so.
    Once again, great video 👏

Totally disagree. What causes these lower emotional states is trauma/blocked emotions that can be removed/cleared with healing work. Then the patterns of lower emotional states no longer arise and we naturally raise our vibration to the higher states.
Essentially we are stuck in lower vibrations by trapped emotions until we clear them. Trying your best to stay positive or working hard to think positive is kind of just like shovelling buckets of water on a sinking ship.
When you find or create a healing modality that works then you use it and move up the ladder of consciousness slowly. Once those blocked emotions are cleared it doesn't require anymore effort, you just stay at that higher level of consciousness. You are not going to regress into lower vibrations unless there is some underlying reason for it.

The work of David Hawkins is far from New Age. If you read his first 3 books it becomes quite obvious that Dr Hawkins was a truly enlightened master. The information contained within the books could have only come from enlightened consciousness. Most of the eastern books on Advaita (non duality are quite abstract). Hawkins work makes it far more accessible to the western mind. One only needs to understand the true nature of the ego (it's structure) and surrender everything as it arrises (let it go). Like he says in all his books 'straight and narrow is the path'. Intellectualising about emotions only creates complexity. Why make it complicated.... the ego loves that stuff. What you fail to point out is although we experience all the emotions on the spectrum - one level of consciousness dominates until we transcend it. How we interpret/see/feel everything is all dominated by ones level of consciousness. ie like your opinion that Transcending the levels of consciousness is very New Age. I have to say with the greatest respect - you do sound very new age. New age thinking is a diversion from true spirituality - I should know after spending many of my early years going down that rabbit hole. In spiritual work, integrity is everything! Sorry, I edited my comment and there was an issue - I deleted it and wrote it again. All the best

There is far more research and clinical literature on shame than Hawkins alone. Shame fulfils certain social functions which regulate moral behaviour - no single emotion can be categorised as ‘good’ or ‘bad’, the same with anger or sadness.
