I bet that whoever did this, took the idea of pulling the school fire alarm to a whole nother level.

Countless people did the exact OPPOSITE of when sirens sound, call 9-1-1. In fact you are told NEVER dial 9-1-1 to ask why sirens are sounding; you go inside and turn on your TV or Radio to find out more information.

The hacker must’ve new the frequency for the attack tone, because it was not doing the steady tone that announces a tornado warning or other severe weather in Dallas or Dallas County. Either way, the hacker caused MASS panic/confusion; it’s not a joke; it’s dumb, illegal and the only person laughing was the hacker. If I were found the man or woman, they would be charged with criminal mischief in the 1st degree. I have autism and so I am very sensitive to loud sounds and if sleeping under one, I would be totally out of bed, shaking like a leaf and would have to wear my earmuffs. This is not ok in the least and the person responsible should feel horrible and ashamed. Glad there was no damage to the sirens and it was just an annoyance more than anything, but there was the fact people couldn’t get through to 911 because others were calling to find out what was happening.

That siren is pathetic. Bring back the Thunderbolt 1000T! Now that was a man's siren.

This news clip didn't play those sirens at full volume. They're actually quite loud.

How about a simple switch to disable all the sirens so a radio signal won't do any good. As long as the whole system is off, no power to the siren, it can't be activated unless someone turns on the master switch.

It's a radio based signal from a wired system because that will fail in severe storms or natural disasters.

They will be doing a re-boot sometime in the next day or so and I'm wondering if the siren by my campus died! It already has pitch problems.
