JD is just so calm, composed, and fluid in his motions. He's a joy to watch. Question though:. Aren't the vert ramps that I've seen him compete on at least as high as this?
Not the same transition
Yea but they have a way more mellow transition.
it's scarier because 1. the flat bottom is cement not a wooden deck, 2. tighter transition, more vert, 3. there isn't another vert ramp of the same size facing into it so you have to ride out your momentum instead of using it to ride back up the other side
Until he gets in a competition, then you see him get inside his own head, once he brings this composure from relaxing having fun at Braille into all his competitions he will be unstoppable
It is but the transition is way steeper making it almost a straight drop from the top.

JD is almost bending the laws of physics on this one lol.... truly amazing and inspiring. He is reaching T Hawk level tricks at the age most of us just started learning. Braille is gonna a need a higher ceiling very soon indeed.

Hi guys ,I’m 18 and have always wanted to start skateboarding from the age of 13 but never had the chance to due to playing other sports frequently due to family pressure ,after binge watching yere videos non stop recently and given up these sports I’ve finally bought my first skateboard today, wish me luck 🤘🏻

After watching some of these persistence/challenge videos I feel battered and bruised from all the bails and slams. After this one though......JD knee sliding from 14 feet up was so smooth and uneventful. That being said, those FS airs were so sick!

14:35 JD is right, don't look down. I'm a commercial painter and I regularly have to work at the top of 32 and 36 foot ladders.

This was awesome! A note for the video editors. It would have been nice to see a quick still while JD was at the highest point right after he did it. It's hard to see exactly how high he got in the video.
