I think both dynamics work greatly for their respective movies. FF1 is more of a interpersonal drama while FF2 is closer to a buddy comedy. Brian and Dom don't know each other and have to build that brotherly bond over time, while Brian and Roman have a history and can play off each other.
I think that too, I think Tyrese was much more willing to play funny but serious. I have to admit... I started to resent Vin's overly serious and "badass" character, not like there isn't charm to him... in the early movies, but the recent movies just... they bore me, and make me not like Don anymore.
I always laugh when they go to get the package out of the bad guy's car and Roman smashes the window, only for Brian to just open the unlocked door. They both just look at each other and say nothing 😂
Roman: What are you checking her out for? Brian: I'm not checking her out. * cuts to the next scene * Roman: Yes you were. Brian: No I wasn't. Roman: I seen you checking her out man. Brian: Okay I was now shut up. Roman: You shut up! Tell me to shut up? Fuentes: Both you girlies shut up! Unbelievable... 🤣
Whenever I think about Tokio Drift I come to a conclusion it was really more about racing cars fast (and furious... ly?) more than any other iterations, maybe except the first one... Arguably even more

I was hooked, and that cemented as a fan of the family ever since. Even tho Fast Five is my personal favorite, I love 2 fast 2 furious for being shot in Miami, and it’s a local favorite around here next to Tokyo drift.
Yess finally someone said it. This is acc my favourite fast and furious just because of how chaotic, quotable and so unapologetically 2000s it is. I’ll love this film forever
They captured the Miami vibe in 2F so well imo. The intro race scene is literally my favorite movie car scene to this day, it's just perfect. Kid me thought the bridge jump was the coolest shit ever. All the characters have actual personalities in this movie too. Definitely doesn't deserve the hate.
The first movie was cool but this is the one that really got me hooked into the franchise. You can imagine my excitement when Roman returned for the fifth movie 😃

As someone who grow up in the 2000’s the first 2 Fast movies feel as if they perfectly captured the time. The stunts, the colors and comedy. They both have their own identity. The following movies after Tokyo Drift don’t seem to have any identity as the characters became superhuman vigilantes.
This gave Paul Walkers, Brian O Conner great character development, this is a personal favorite in the entire series. Stories don't make as much sense without 2 Fast 2 Furious. Love your videos BTW! .
2F2F and Tokyo Drift are the absolute best FF movies. They capture the culture, still care about the cars, it was pure street racing and the characters felt real and relatable. When the movies became larger than life crime movies with the drama and explosion that is when it went downhill.
2F2F has always been my favorite in the franchise, when I was a kid I've probably watched it twice a week and when I was older I found out there was a prelude made for the movie which totally blew my mind Never understood the hate, especially when you look at the couple of the last few entries in the franchise which in my opinion suck a lot...

The only thing I remember as a kid was this movie was considered to be bad. I watched it on TV or something as a kid and remember thinking to myself…..”I like this!” Especially the “pockets ain’t empty cuz” scene. Brilliant!
This has always been my favorite fast and furious movie and I think a large part of it is it was the first one I saw. I didn't even know it was a sequel until a few years later
As much as I like the first movie, I am a big fan of what Fast and the Furious has become. mainly because when I go watch a Fast & Furious movie in theaters I want spectacle. if I wanted a well written arthouse movie, I would stay at home and watch it on my tv.
I loved the third movie, the whole idea of unrelated stories about cars and street racings are awesome. But then Dom returned at the end of the movie for an arc that took many movies to work and things were never the same again
Ok, 2f2f was my intro to the series, and maybe it's nostalgia speaking, but it's the perfect balance and distillation of the series, without it being too over the top.
This is my childhood movie. I wanted nothing but to be apart of the underground scene cause of this and growing up in south florida where emisions testing doesnt exist and the local PD doesnt get involved in your cars. I was unaware so many people disliked 2 Fast 2 Furious. If those are not your types of movies fine, but I've always enjoyed it.
