TheHaos1 I will warn you though that he hasn't uploaded any new videos in over 4 months because he got sick of war thunder's bullshit, but nevertheless he has great videos
The Yak-7b is a BEAUTIFUL plane. It excels at BnZ / Energy fighting. I don't recommend using it as a turn fighter against spits or F2A's or Ki-43, etc, etc.
I used mostly the Yak3 for that event, but I finished on the 7B... Ace in a day match. Its real strength is those .50 cal machine guns, as you can get an enemy or 2 once the cannon is out of ammo - a big Yak problem. So yeah! Great plane
Here is the best channel for ACM: ruclips.net/user/Requiem10NS Yes it's for Biplanes but it alll translates into WWII props too. almost all manuevers used in WWII were developed in WWI, a lot by Mr. Manfred von Richthofen
i know you did a couple, but can we have a another Horten video? i can handle my self in it, but it's always nice to learn some new tricks ;) and for me it is the most fun Germany jet at the moment
Do you have a how to video on the maneuvers you pull?? I remember seeing something that you were gonna do the tutorials, but I wasn't sure where they were at on your channel or if you did them at all.
The ones that run and hide I don't find nearly as annoying as the ones that dive all the way down to the deck and then hold J as soon as soon they start to lose the fight.
What you said at 14:23 about not giving up is so true. I thought i was done for when i was flying my mig-15 on Korea in a 3v1 situation. I have fighting an F9F-2 F2H-2 Meteor F4 LW. (or whatever its now called). I killed all three of em and ended up winning. SO NEVER GIVE UP :D
That a blown-off tail does no longer count as a kill is utter bullcrap if you ask me. I mean, if half the wing's gone I understand, skilled pilots might be able to save themselves still. But this happens in ARCADE MODE. The home of killstealing. The place for hatred and teamkills. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have somebody do the work of shooting of a bombers tail, potentially putting himself to danger and then have this secure kill of a twirling bomber taken from them? I have lost so many hard earned kills to that...
I hear you man, there is even less point now (and i can't believe gaigin managed this) trying to intercept high flying bombers, I shot the tails off two Catalinas and a Beaufort flying the Hurricane Mk II yesterday, nobody else climbed, One kill, two assists ffs.
Here's the thing: Ever watch PhlyDaily's Top 5 Epic Plays? One one of them, the #1 was a B-17 that got its tail shot clean off... And flew back across the map and landed and repaired. I agree that it is still a load of blitz, but there are reasons why they did it.
Blackwell Markman I know those videos, all respect to Phly, but those instances where a plain flies without a tail should be something to cry over. It's bullshit.
The A6M2 mod 11 may be the more maneuverable A6M2 but I prefer the Carrier version because it looks better the brown wings just look wrong on the mod 11
Can I just say that with 2 50kg bombs and stealth ammunition, the 7B is excellent for sneak attacks on both ground and air targets... especially when fully modified :D
It seems kind of odd that there are ground units and mission objectives to complete when it's frowned upon to do them. Playing a bomber or a ground attacker almost seems like a disadvantage to the team, and to even get a ground forces victory, someone would have to hide in the clouds and wait for the extremely long amount of time it takes for the ground forces to kill each other, which gets you reported to passive behavior.
I would like to see this exact same A6M2 Mod 11 Realistic Battle in v1.55, With G-LOC (do you have any untrained crews or crews that would be similar if you had just unlocked the A6M2 Mod 11 reciently?), over that southern island after the Yanks have capped it (AAA super crazy deadly), I have also recently gotten a wing rip when I thought I was well within G limits. Almost the new year! Thank you!
I think that's precisely why Japanese teams seem to do the best. All of their planes turn ridiculously well and are generally slow, so all you need to do to stay alive in them is be aware. That awareness then translates to your teammates as well, which is why Japanese teams also actively use teamwork to great effect. They've been bred by the planes given to them (and the MM boosts their skills)
Some lowlifes used to suicide into the ground in IEN's War Birds (ancient game, look it up) to avoid giving people what they considered undeserved kills. Why do people do it in this game? Are there any disadvantages to getting killed by an enemy as opposed to just flying into the ground? Also, does this game award maneuver kills if an enemy crashes trying to evade you? If so, couldn't the developers just count suicide crashes as maneuver kills and award them to the nearest enemy pilot?
The problem with that is the "nearest person" part. Is it easy to calculate that? Sure. But what if, you make someone crash like that, being out of ammo, and someone much faster than you flys past and is closer to the enemy when it crashes? It's an interesting idea, but I just can't really see it working. Even being credited for drowning an enemy tank in GF would have issues.
When I play Yak-7B I go head on to my enemies (mostly spitfires) and most of the time it works. Only ever been taken out by accidentally hitting the destroyed aircraft Also hello from Tassie
I started flying Japanese planes last week and I find myself really enjoying their maneuverability, but hating the guns (I unlocked only the rank 2 Ki-43s in Rank 2 and most of everything else is locked up). I have a question for you MagzTV. What are your thoughts on the Ki-43-III Otsu Hayabusa? On War Thunder paper, it looks like it's an amazing aircraft. Climb rate better than the LA-5 and same firepower and turn time equal to a Zero or better.
Not everyone tried to take that Wellington from you. I was there but did not fire after you tore the tail off because that is just low .. Also trust me to be having a terrible match when I get myself into one of your videos lol
Hey Mags, was just wondering what was up with your video quality. I only got the options of 360p and lower, did something happen when you were uploading the video?? O:
No, a Barrel Roll is a combination of Ailerons, Elevator and Rudder movements that arrest your speed while keeping your direction of travel, They are very hard to do with mouse aim due to keyboard commands always applying min/max control movement and mouse movements having a tendency to activate other control surfaces in an unwanted manner.. What I am doing is pulling an aileron roll during an elevation maneuver while applying no rudder, The elevation maneuver changes my direction of travel and the aileron roll applied mid maneuver changes direction of travel again to re-align with target, this is much easier to perform under mouse aim but is not considered a Barrel roll due to the lack of rudder imputs and tthe minimum two direction changes during the maneuver.
But an aileron roll isn't supposed to change your heading? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aileron_roll yeah, yeah, I know, wikipedia, but the info is there and has sources.
whenever i fly the welly i go low and fast (as possible) and pray i can drop my bombs on target before being shot down (and when i say bomb i mean the dustbin bolted to the bottom of the aircraft filled with 4000 pounds of explosives) when i have killed the target i throw myself at the enemy and accept my fate.... had a glorious moment when i rammed a yak and smashed it to pieces and survived :) for about 30 seconds
The 7ak's high speed handling is poor and it doesn't go very fast. I would definitely not call it a BnZ plane, unless you're fighting a very unfortunate MC200 or something like that. The 7 has great acceleration and is very agile. Energy fighter pur sang.
The Yak is definetely not a BnZ fighter. If anything I would call it an energy fighter, but your tactic will vary depending on the plane you're fighting. Against more maneuverable enemies, you should energy fight / BnZ. Against less maneuverable fighters, you can turnfight them. Yaks don't excel at any particular fighting style, but they're pretty decent in several aspecs.
Who at gaijin thought that allowing planes to keep "flying" after the loss of a tail was a good idea? For the 1/1000 times that someone might actually make it back to base and repair, how many people have had their kill stole, or had their kill registered as an enemy crash because of gaijin logic? (And no one say that kill stealing "Doesn't exist"; I wouldn't care at all if someone stole my kill if assists actually rewarded you, but you don't earn any RP for assists, and with the amount of RP you need to get high teir planes in this game, you can't afford to lose RP because you got an assist rather than a kill.)
I really enjoy your videos a lot. I play War Thunder tons and I have learned tons by watching you. Keep it up!
Great video, that last P-39 pilot actually shoots down a Zero at 14:35 btw.
MagzTV I have a talisman on the A6M2 mod 11, and I bloody love it! I now know why you like this aircraft so much.
Out of all other channels that deal with war thunder content, this is bloody well the best one I've come across so far.
Yup,magz is the best at covering War Thunder content. He speaks the truth and he's transparent about everything, unlike others... entak*cough*
TheHaos1 Jnorbz is also a very good war thunder youtuber, not very well known but he's awesome
Victor Charlie thanks man,i'll check him out !
TheHaos1 I will warn you though that he hasn't uploaded any new videos in over 4 months because he got sick of war thunder's bullshit, but nevertheless he has great videos
+TheHaos1 Aye, I don't blame him, Gaijin has been bloody well wanking on us lately. Though I definitely hope he takes up other games.
you are one of my favorite war thunder youtubers.
Because you actually know how to play the game unlike most of them...
Thank you, Magz! I was just starting to do my homework!
You are welcome :)
The Yak-7b is a BEAUTIFUL plane. It excels at BnZ / Energy fighting. I don't recommend using it as a turn fighter against spits or F2A's or Ki-43, etc, etc.
I´m new to the channel but from a fellow youtuber I salute you, your commentay style is awesome and flawless!!
Thanks mate!
happy new year mate, love your channel :)

Magz, i am new to the planes and i have no skills how to defend myself. Please can you make video about basic defensive maneuvers?
Here is the best channel for ACM: ruclips.net/user/Requiem10NS
Yes it's for Biplanes but it alll translates into WWII props too.
almost all manuevers used in WWII were developed in WWI, a lot by Mr. Manfred von Richthofen
Cinnabun My thanks.
Cinnabun You mran Oswald Boelcke there my friend! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oswald_Boelcke
+Andrei Cristian Florea Dont forget Max Immelmann.
i know you did a couple, but can we have a another Horten video? i can handle my self in it, but it's always nice to learn some new tricks ;) and for me it is the most fun Germany jet at the moment
Do you have a how to video on the maneuvers you pull?? I remember seeing something that you were gonna do the tutorials, but I wasn't sure where they were at on your channel or if you did them at all.
And i thought krebs was good you are an absolute expert at this game
Great video! Happy new year!
The ones that run and hide I don't find nearly as annoying as the ones that dive all the way down to the deck and then hold J as soon as soon they start to lose the fight.
What rounds did you use in the zero? For future vidios you could put the ammo in the description , it would be very helpful.

Hey MagZ, I flew the A6M2 quite often before but I still haven't figured out the difference between the Mod11 and Reisen. What is it?
Damn, 8M Silver Lions. I guess after you've unlocked all the jets there's nothing major to spend that on.
That a blown-off tail does no longer count as a kill is utter bullcrap if you ask me. I mean, if half the wing's gone I understand, skilled pilots might be able to save themselves still.

They fixed it in a recent patch.
Here's the thing: Ever watch PhlyDaily's Top 5 Epic Plays? One one of them, the #1 was a B-17 that got its tail shot clean off... And flew back across the map and landed and repaired. I agree that it is still a load of blitz, but there are reasons why they did it.

Download some skins problem solved
Strawberry Poptarts
Still an ugly plane at heart and I want to be able to land on a carrier and know that I will stop due to a hook
Hey Magz have you flown out the HE 162 this patch? I heard it got nerfed pretty badly
Can I just say that with 2 50kg bombs and stealth ammunition, the 7B is excellent for sneak attacks on both ground and air targets... especially when fully modified :D
Can you make a video on the Meteor Mk. 3? I don't want to torture you but it would help for those who are just getting their British jets.

Still only 360p? I guess I can just listen now and watch later
I found your video is really helpfull for me..ty mate!

Also hello from Tassie
Can i have your old pc plz?
come on youtube. render dammit render
Pretty cool that magz was in my match tonight. U died quick. But good to be in a game with ya. U did get a kill though rather fast lol.

Since we are here so early, RUclips is still "uploading" the higher quality options.
Failosaurus71
Ooooh, i see thx
It takes about an hour for RUclips to render the HD versions. They should be available shortly.
I thought an aileron roll applied no elevator? those look like barrel rolls to me, good match nonetheless.

dachozogod
No, the elevation is changing the heading, The aileron roll during the elevation is changing the vector of that elevation maneuver.
Is there an online manual I could see the differences between the two?
Magz fly the F-80C and P-80 after BR raise! :D
Magz we are still waiting for the R2D2 vid
It's cause he just uploaded it, it's still processing
