Really cool ice rink in Albany. Yea these icerinks in NYC are... special. They look amazing but you really need to be lucky with the managers. We had that luck and we had an amazing time on the ice. I can also recommend the ice rink in Brooklyn. They have a strong ice freestyle community.
Too bad you didn't go to Boston, Honestly, New York Stinks... I've been there, Boston is Awesome, you could have skated on the Frog Pond. Seriously, downtown Albany?
We were in Albany for work, and dont have a car so couldn't make it to Boston. If we would have known about the frog pond we would have taken the train!
