Well said Charlie. I graduated from a heavily STEM based university nearly 2 decades ago and was a big thorn in my leftist professors’ sides. Due to a career changing injury I had returned to college at the age of 37 and wasn’t nearly as easily intimidated as my young classmates (all of whom thought I was crazy for challenging what the professors said). My mathematics, physics, chemistry, and other hard science instructors weren’t any problem but the faux and quasi “science” professors and even my honors English professors were so far left that they would make Marx feel right at home. I can’t imagine what it’s like going to a more liberal university, or even what my alma matter is like today after 20 additional years of leftist infestation. Our universities are the first thing we need to take back and return to sound educational principles if we ever hope to get our Country back on the right path. Thank you for all your work and support of these young people facing the massive wave of indoctrination in what are supposed to be institutions of higher education Charlie.

Lord only knows how it might've been had you gone in your youth. Granted, that's almost 20 years back minus almost another 20 years to when you would've been 18 and the university brainwashing likely wasn't as destructive at the time (hell if I know, I'm 26 lol)

It's funny ... when I was in college I was faced with a similar situation. My first year at Rutgers I took Comparative Religions. Unfortunately the course had nothing to do with comparing ANYTHING. The course was more an anthropology of religion and the professor spending the semester trying to convince everyone that religion is fairytales and BS. The final exam was one question ... write an essay explaining what you learned about religion and how your views on YOUR religion changed. I did the EXACT same analysis... what grade do I want in this class??? So I spent 2 full blue essay books regurgitating the crap the professor spouted for 2 1/2 months and then spent another essay book explaining why my Christian belief DIDNT change. I ended up with a B in the class. Btw ... I graduated with a 3.96 GPA. That class was the ONLY class I didn't ace. I figured f-ck that guy. I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction and graduated Suma Cum Laud anyway!!!! Jerk. Lol

How do we know Christianity is true? Well if people are open to Christianity and they realize it’s true, all these other problems eventually go away and you’ll see why as we go further. So what is justice and social justice? Justice normally means individuals getting what they deserve; an impartial and fair application of the law. There’s a difference between justice, mercy and grace. None of us should demand justice. Not from God anyway. Why? Because then we would ACTUALLY get what we deserve. And we don’t want that, right? Mercy is NOT getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you DON’T deserve. None of us deserve grace, it’s a gift. We are all sinners. Social justice might be something like taking action to care for the poor, orphans, widows, unborn, etc. At least this was said by Catholic priests a couple of centuries ago. Social justice, in other words, let’s make sure we are involved in the community and make sure we care for the people that need to be cared for. And the Bible talks a fair amount about this as you may or may not know.
OR it could mean “oppressed groups must be liberated.” This, UNFORTUNATELY, is what the meaning is for many people today. Not that we shouldn’t liberate oppressed groups, but the idea that we’re caring for poor and the orphans and this unfortunately is sort of subsumed by the latter definition. That’s why the people who really study this say, “If you want to be clear don’t use the phrase social justice because it means too many different things to too many different people.” Define what you mean by it. In fact, oppressed groups who must be liberated, might mean that we’re going to take from the haves and give to the have nots….by law!
Do you realize that so much of what you hear in the media is actually “sounding good” even though the real meaning behind what they’re promoting isn’t good? Satan comes as an Angel of light. In other words, if you want to pass off something bad as good, then give it a good name. Call it the “Equality Act”. It sounds so good. Who could be against equality, right? Call it “Choice”. Who could be against choice, right? Everybody’s for choice, right? Call it “Justice”. We’re all for justice, right? Call it “fairness”. Who’s not for fairness? “Black Lives Matter”, who’s against black lives right?
But when you really drill down as to what they are promoting, it’s not just, it’s not fair, it’s not equality, it’s not a choice we make. There’s a book by Scott David Allen called, “Why Social Justice is Not Biblical Justice”. What is Secular Social Justice today? It’s deconstructing traditional systems and structures “deemed” to be oppressive and redistributing power and resources from oppressors to their victims in the pursuit of “equality of outcome”.
You’ve heard of this, right? Equality normally meant equality of opportunity. For example, before 1964, blacks and other minorities did not have equality of opportunity. Because there were Jim Crowe laws in place to keep that down. Now at least on paper anyway those laws were done away with in 1964. And so we had equality of opportunity but that DID NOT mean equality of outcome. In fact, the word it is now used for equality of outcome is a word called, “equity”. Equity is EVERYBODY SHOULD wind up in the same place with the same stuff, REGARDLESS of behavior. Equity has NEVER happened in the history of the world and it’s NEVER going to happen in the future of the world.
It’s not even going to happen in Heaven. Everyone going to get into Heaven based on grace, but you’re going to get different rewards or rewards taken away from you based on negative behavior. You get into Heaven based on grace, BUT you are judged in Heaven based on your works. And thankfully people like the apostle Paul will get more works than the guard or more rewards in the garden variety Christian because it’s JUST! He should! Think of the parable of the talents. What does Jesus do?
Jesus talks about the parable where he gives 5 to one, 2 to another and 1 to the third. To the 5 who goes out and multiplies them, he commands to the 2 the same and to the 1 who hid it, he says, “I’m gonna take your talent and give it to the one who has MORE.
Well, that’s the opposite of equity, isn’t it? That’s justice! We’re going to get Justice in Heaven based on our works.
There are a thousand different reasons why people come to different outcomes. For example, If you have an adult brother or sister, are they in the exact place you are in terms of finances? In terms of relationships? In terms of spiritual growth? In terms of health? No of course not! If you’re not going to get equity of outcome from people born to the same parents and under the same roof, how are you going to expect to get equity of outcome from people from different parents under different roofs? You’re not! Why? Because there are so many choices that are made. There are so many motivations that some have that others don’t. There are so many other factors that go into where you wind up in life. And it has NOTHING to do with discrimination. Not that discrimination doesn’t occur, but the idea that differences of outcome are ALL due to discrimination is demonstrably false.

A couple of interesting things about this video.
    1. The homework assignment is to answer what social justice means to one PERSONALLY. But, instead of simply answering the question, he goes to some sort of right-wing icon for guidance. It's as if the guy has no independent opinion of his own and has to rely on being told what to think.
    2. Kirk's idea of what the answer should be doesn't even answer the question. "Liberty matters a lot more to me than social justice." But the question is not what matters more than what and neither is it even about what values person has. So Kirk's idea of an answer is to go out of one's way to virtue-signal even if it probably neither makes sense nor is it rational (because that will most likely not get you points in your homework).
