- I finally finished orchestrating the 1st movement of Chopin's 3rd piano sonata! I will probably do the whole sonata as a piano concerto, however its not my main focus for now.
I realised only after "nicknaming" it "Chopin's 3rd piano concerto" that there already was found some sketches of his actual 3rd concerto. As far as I know there is only 1 movement that is in a playable state.
Everything is made in Musescore Studio, and recently they came out with some new sound libraries from Orchestral Tools, Spitfire Audio and Cinesamples.
I used a mix of Berlin Soloists and Spitfire Symphony Woodwind for the woodwinds.
Berlin Brass and CineBrass for the Brass section.
Berlin Percussion for all the percussion.
Berlin Harp
Muse Keys for the Piano
Spitfire Chamber Strings (Violin & Viola) doubled with Muse Strings, Berlin Strings (Cello & Basses) cello doubled (in most places) with Cinesamples Tina Guo Acoustic Cello.
You should receive much more recognition, Maia!
The orchestration is beautiful and accompanies the piano very well, in addition to preserving the essence of Chopin's concerto very well! 👏🏻👏🏻
Oh thank you so much! 😊
Very good job Maia. A great way to gain composition experience. Thank you also for the details about Musescore. Very kind of you❤
