This happened years ago when durians' prices started to spike. Those who suffer are the farmers who have been working hard on the lands. Some had tried to negotiate but to no avail.

Like there was no change in government policy since time of Dr M in the 1990's. Only the big elites gets all the concession and contracts and avoid taxation, like how Syed mokhtar applied tax exemption for his trust fund. And burden of taxation then falls on middle income who must support the poor and the filthy rich who owns these monopolies, concessions and contracts.
Malaysian govt will be more efficient if they listen to MM’s advises and will generally improve on our Malaysians life. Also the M type people will learn how to work hard for themselves and just not to grab other peoples livelihood. Every piece of her commentary is useful for improvement.

The original farmers planted durian kampung and were not rich but the current farmers switched to musang king and are quite wealthy.
