Man Alex and Nathan need to be given their flowers when it comes to team games. They might not be the best in 1v1 but they definitely know how to play good basketball.
Same with Kyle Young on team Chalmers, he was the most dominant player on the floor when he was on, in every single play setting screens, good off ball movement, getting boards buckets and a steady passer too!

@jjcometa9333 I disagree regarding Kyle. Dude is a great rebounder and a decent defender down low. He didn't facilitate the ball that well but he is a solid decision maker. Even Chalmers wanted the offense to go through him. He low key might be the most valuable player in these 5's if he's used right.

That’s why this season is shaping to be pretty good because there seems to be an emphasis on team basketball. They filmed for a week, I’m sure by the finale of the season, we’ll see a noticeable difference assuming they run 5’s again.
I can’t be the only one who thinks Mike is not himself. He hasn’t done squat this whole season.

I don’t get how people are going at Jlew when he was actually being aggressive and getting to the cup and getting buckets too. Mike Harden was in the game damn near the whole time and didn’t offer nothing to the team. He’d dribble the ball up, dribble in one spot, stop, then just swing the rock to somebody else. And it’s not like he was orchestrating the offence, he would just pass to somebody else and not do anything. I can’t lie I’m putting a lot of the blame on Mike Harden for why they lost. He offered no creativity, no directness, and no buckets. He played very tame and safe when he should’ve been the difference maker. It’s like after he missed those 2 open threes he was scared to shoot. Jlew actually made an impact when was on the court.

Dont forget speed and acceleration is included in athleticism. Alex IS athletic just not tall. Dudes probably the quickest guy out there.

I think a lot of them aren’t used to running sets anymore since they’re primarily in the RUclips space. On top of that, it’s hard to run plays when you don’t have plays prepped and ready and players haven’t really played with each other.

Some take aways for Team Chalmers:
Lewis and the white big man (I think Kyle) should never be on the floor together for spacing reasons.
Friga needs to be ran off double screens for open shots as the weakside option. Also team needs to actively look for him as the corner or wing option. Friga also excels at attacking off the catch.
Jlew playing like he's at the park... Have to get his teammates involved on the break before taking off full speed every single play.
Landon, Mike, Kam, and Eli are all good shot creators/makers, but biggest issue is who is running the point (who willing to create for others)?
When the offense stalls out and the play called doesn't generate an open look, we resort to iso... In contrast to Team Beasley, they swing the rock knowing there's no time limit on possession. Part of the reason why iso is because the spacing is horrendous. Fix the lineups and the team chemistry will come.
