I agree, his look here makes him look to old and it doesn't quite work, his beard looks fake and his fair looks wrong. I'd prefer him to have a shaved head and a more fuller looking beard.
Jacky G if it's just Rick hallucinating/imagining/daydreaming of a future then he's got a crappy imagination. Who the heck daydreams of needing a cane or being a cripple? Though the apocalypse has probably beaten a lot of optimism out of him.
No it's just Rick after the war ... but i think they've done it wrong because he looks way too old in this scene and that gives people bad theories like that HORRIBLE "coma/dream" theorie that people keeps talking about even tho the creators told us it would never happen and we would never see Rick wake up in the hospital ... They clearly said Rick would die at the end like all the characters but they don't know if they'll make him die at the very end or before
They've already started filming All Out War and they've only filmed the first half. Therefore the second half will either be a continuation or A New Beginning. The is no room for that much filler.
I like the idea of Rick dreaming this scene. I personally don't want to see an old, broken, crippled Rick in the tv show. Tv show Rick needs to remain his badass self!
Creamy Cornhole Still. TV show Rick is our main protagonist. Most viewers (especially those who don't read the comics) aren't gonna want to see Rick as a broken cripple for quite some time, they want the badass Rick Grimes we've seen all the way throughout the show.
MalySports Rick is also the main protagonist in the comics as well so I'm missing your point there. Rick was still badass after the injury. He beat a dude around with his cane, he bit another throat out, and he broke a bitches neck off a table who was trying to kill him. What made him even more badass in the comics is that he overcame the injury like I said before he has not used the cane since Andrea died
"I have a rage boiling inside of me. At times like this it's really hard to control and it wants out. Don't give me a reason to let it out, Dwight. Because at this point what's one more fucking grave" - Rick Grimes Issue #169 Still a badass to this day
If he was in a coma, the *whole time*, then the zombie-pocalypse never happened to begin with. The hospital, and society, are still intact. There would be somebody to give him buzzcuts.
TheOriginalCP9 They need to end the show at some point and him dreaming it would be a great ending. I have this whole ending in mind where he is fighting the bad guy, all his friends are dying, finally someone kills Carl and he goes insane fighting back but then finally the bad guy takes down Rick. It's sad, horrifying and a dream.. Rick wakes up from the coma, all his loved ones are there. They walk to the car to finally go home and the car drives out of frame to show in the background a house with people screaming in it as the zombie apocalypse starts for real. THE END I know they have comics that take the story further but it's unrealistic to think they will continue the show with the comics forever.
I like the idea of a dream/hallucination. I do not however like the idea of All out war being only half of season 8. That would not be cool man, not cool at all. lol.
I'm going to try to present a new side to the "How long will all out war be in the show debate" In my opinion I don't care if it last half a season a full season a season and a half etc just as long as much of the story as possible is interesting and intriguing I'm game. People that are fans of TWD have complained about filler a lot and I know that in the end everyone can't be pleased but hear me out if they make a half season of non stop fun and interesting episodes that flow well and tie up well who cares if it doesn't go the full 16 episodes? If there's enough story to tell make it 16 if it'll benefit more from 8 do that. Just my thoughts I know not everyone will agree with this but I am curious how this will play out. Hopefully this season will be a hell of a fun time we'll find out soon!
I think this is going to be the opening to season 8, show rick waking up-cut to theme song. Orx he's imagining himself growing old in Alexandria. Thats why he looks so much older, in the real new beginning he will have the brown buzzcut and beard.
Gimple said the first 4 episodes would be a big spectacle. Doesn't bode well for All Out War lasting. Perhaps he worded that to mislead us and more battles will be spread across the whole season.
The only thing that scares me is they are still going at a fast pace. If the show is using the comics as foundation, the show isnt that far off from the comics now. I know people will bitch but fuck them because most arent walking dead fans but i would like for them to slow it down at season 8b or have filler in season 9. In the comics the whisperer war is done and they are heading to a new community, if season 8 is all out war & a new beginning they almost are at the point of the comics
I'm pretty sure that we will see te last 7-8 episodes with Chandler Riggs as Carl .... He will be played by a 26 -28 year old highly talented actor .....we will see in 2018 a major definitive time jump
Fucking sucks man why build it all up for how long then only give us 8 episodes. TWD is a good show but never been a truly great show like breaking bad, game of thrones, the soprano's, the wire...
The reason he probably looks so much older is because, instead of doing a 2 year time skip like they did in the comics, they will likely do a 4 or 5 year time skip on the show, so that Carl can catch up to the age of the actor. Dude is 18 years old playing a character that's SUPPOSED to be like 13 or 14. They need a really big time-skip before Riggs starts looking like a full-grown adult.
Colton G well it's probably stress too stress can give you grey hair stress is serious especially if your living in a zombie apocalypse in a war with a crazy lunatic with a barbed wire bat.
Bruce Snow I agree! I think them keeping Rick as a badass that can hold his own on the show is their best bet. I think seeing an old & crippled Rick wouldn't be as entertaining on the show
I like your theory of it being option 3. Especially because of where the clip is. At the very end. They like to fuck with us and try and make things appear differently than they actually are.
The people who honestly think it's Rick awakening from his coma deserve to be slapped and banned from watching the show permanently. Stupidity is already a plague within the TWD fandom, but that theory and the people who believe it is a whole other level of stupid.
Another possible theory its a flashforward of Rick in Episode 1. Season 8 finale they show him out of his bed getting ready for new beginning talking to much older Negan in the cell and they follow the comic book route
It's gonna be a shitstorm in this fandom either way. There's such a divide in people wanting a whole season of war or just half. No way everyone will be satisfied. I think a lot are just desperate to keep moving and rushing through plot and stories sadly.
I like the dreaming theory pretty good,i thought that maybe he was dreaming that he just dreamt the apocalypse and is back in the hospital maybe even see a lori n shane cameo only to awaken in that container
The Walking Dead's choice of trailer songs often give clues to the upcoming season. The song that plays in this trailer is "Prisoner's Song" by Dropkick Murphys. Some of the lyrics are "A prisoner to my thoughts, a number and a cell Locked up like a dog in this worldly hell" and "Dreaming of a future when our ship comes in." I believe this lends credence to the idea that Rick is in the container, hallucinating or daydreaming.
NotReallyMatt hmmmm..... in what way? I don't see her as a burden. A burden is someone who has to be constantly cared for and contributes nothing. Judith could be considered a burden except she's a child and all children are burdens even in the real world. Don't you think there should be some characters that are not superheros?
Maybe he went through it all already, so as he wakes up as in the trailer he is waking up from a dream of what has happened from the begging and he walks out to a big city of people who worker together to build a home for his kids to grow up in and repopulate the state or city. Sooooo, maybe his is just revisiting in his dream what already happened.
Ron, your DOOMSDAY KINGDOM trailer at the end was cool as shit man!! I'm definitely buying it when it comes out just from that trailer!! I watched it like 3-4 times, very impressive!! Love the channel, thanks for the hard work!!
How would it be an homage? I mean, it might not happen exactly like the comic. We could get this scene right at the beginning as a flash forward, but it's definitely Rick after the time skip.
Creamy Cornhole I'm trying to say is that season 8 is purely focused on all out war . Him and everybody who thinks that's a coma theory or yet everybody who believes that the eight episode can fullfil all out war while mid season should new beginning. It's just annoying to hear that a lot of people believes things that oppose mine .
I believe the on the Talking Dead the creators said they weren't going to pull a movie like Lost did where he wakes up from the coma and that the events that occur are real life
I pick number three because he is too old in that shot for it to be "A New Beginning" which you have said and the comic has suggested is only a few years later. I thought originally it was a foreshadowing by the writer's for Rick's eventual death, since Kirkman has said he does want to kill Rick off in the comic. But your suggestion makes better sense to me. Good Video!
Don't forget they are not done filming season 8. They break up the filming also. The season finale won't usually be filmed until this coming November so most if not all the trailer we see will be the premiere episode. It being the 100th episode and all. A call back to him waking up in the hospital bed in the pilot episode.
If you look at the visual effects they used on this shot its similar to the "table setting" clip where everyone is happy and dining. My guess is, this clip is a dream sequence.
the only way this can work is if its the mid season finale and the entire season (8x16) ends with the dudes hearing the whisperers, going back and telling their crazy story about whispering zambees.
BIG CHACHI I was in a book store a few months ago when I saw this girl buying a Walking Dead comic. I talked to her about it for a minute and she commented about how much different it is than the show. When we finished talking about the comic, her boyfriend said in a tone suggesting pride in what he was saying, "Yeah, well I just watch the show because it doesn't involve reading." So to answer your question, no. Almost no one read the comics because having to read shit is a chore... I guess.
I'm honestly hoping that this is a hallucination or dream that the outbreak never happened. I always wondered whether Robert Kirkman and the crew would make an episode showing Rick waking up from his coma, and we see the others carry out their lives before the outbreak. As the episode progresses, he notices that it's all a dream but doesn't ever want to wake up. With so many years gone by with this show, an episode like this would technically need to show Rick had aged significantly.
Old rick is a flash forward of him in a hospital after the apocalypse has ended, lifes gone back to normal. In season one he wakes up to the apocalypse and the end season he wakes up to a normal world again. That would be cool
I'm hoping that the Season opens with the Flash forward with Rick reflecting. It can open with just Rick, showing hints at the other (especially Carl and Michonne) but not showing them, making you wonder what happened. All of these leading into Rick reflecting and looking back at the war.
Breaking Bad actually was 16 episodes. 501 opened with 52 y/o Walt getting the gun, and 509, opened with him at the house. I agree, they will likely do AOW across all 16 eps, each premiere will cold open with the flash forward, culminating in the finale.
Option 1. Jesus has given rick his beard grooming training 2. Rick has been possessed by Hershals ghost 3. Rick is more afraid of catheters more now than zombies.
I think it's Rick in the future. There's three people in the room with him. Carl who is setting down, base on the blurriness. Judith looking at the cane, base on height; And Machonne standing over the bed, base on that what she most likely would be doing.
It would be a good plot twist if that old Rick that we're seeing is like he gets knocked unconscious and he wakes up in the hospital bed but he has to use a cane and he's old and then when he's at the hospital something happens where he gets knocked out again and then wakes up where he's actually being held captive so he gets a few moments of peace and serenity and then all of the sudden boom right back in the s*** lol
I think that this image is the final bit of the mid season finale because if you haven't noticed they only show clips from the first half of the season in trailers
Actually, after all out war it skips 12 years into the future and everyone's dead but Rick and Hershel. Rick finds out he has a daughter and then goes on a journey with bald Hershel (yes he's alive again). Hershel's in a wheel chair btw making some parts difficult. His daughter is actually very special and wanted by a certain group of people. Rick and Hershal die in the end leaving his daughter alone with her new group of friends
I can see him waking up like this, he's in the hospital from Episode One, Carl and Lori are by his side. Shane is there. Everyone is happy he is out of his coma, but then the whole thing quickly falls apart and deteriorates into chaos before he wakes up. It's a big mind fuck for the fans, make them think it's all just been a dream but then he's thrust back into reality. You could only place a scene like that at the end of Episode 8 Thought.
The Awesomist then pretty much everything we've seen until the end of season 8 was a waste of our time. Glad Kirkman came out and said he would never do that coma theory crap. Don't know why some of y'all think that's brilliant writing it's more like the opposite.
Q and A: Do you think that they would do a major time skip in the middle of the season? What do you think about this being Rick just waking up after a couple weeks or so after winning the war, and instead of the time skip that the comic has, the Tv show shows us some original content for what happens in between the time from the end of the war with the saviors to the start of the Whisperers? If they get through all out war in the 1st half of season 8 (which it looks like they might), then the 2nd half could show a little of how the communities were rebuilt and more alliances formed. Maybe we even get a small glimpse or hint of what could be the whisperers in the future, then the time skip could take place between seasons 8 and 9.
I think it's the day dream. Just like when Rick was on the RV day dreaming of what it would have been like if Abe and Glenn had survived and all were around the dinner table.
hard to say really, historically, tWD hasn't really drawn out conflicts over an entire season, the build up to conflicts has taken a while, but the actual conflicts themselves tend to be over fairly quickly, so the build up of tensions with Philip "the Governor", the Terminus group, the Wolves, the group at the Hospital and even Negan's Saviors took much longer than the actual conflict itself. We haven't seen a pre-conflict tension drawn out as long as the Negan saga before, so it could take a whole season, but my guess is that they like to vary up the level of tension a bit, so drawing out a full-on conflict over an entire season wouldn't really work, they might weave in a storyline where Jadis' Scavengers come out on top and they become the primary agonist, but my guess is that when push comes to shove (as it did in the final episodes of season 7) that a resolution will come about fairly quickly clearing the field of play to bring in a new main villain. After really 2 seasons, surely the writers will conclude we've all endured enough Negan and he'll fall quite quickly, but I suspect we haven't heard the last of those dumpster divers and the chick with the bangs.
I hope they go the breaking bad/lost route. Have this scene of him waking up in the first episode. Then in the mid season have a doctor come in and vaguely talk to Rick about how he is feeling and mention his bullet wounds, continuing to push the illusion that this is him waking up from his coma and reveal in the finale that it's actually a flash forward of season 9 Rick after All out War
Either Negan broke his leg or Michonne gave him mega head that he aged rapidly.
"mega head" xD
Victor Nguyen negan broke his leg. That's what it said in the comics
If her head game is that deadly, idk if i would want it or be addicted until i died lol
fieldsgaming 😂😂😂
Victor Nguyen lmao too funny
PREDICTION: The old man Rick clip is a dream sequence that takes place in 8x01. It is not an actual sneak peak of A New Beginning
I agree, his look here makes him look to old and it doesn't quite work, his beard looks fake and his fair looks wrong. I'd prefer him to have a shaved head and a more fuller looking beard.
That's because the beard IS fake.
so he is dreaming his future? a bit unrealistic
thats what I was thinking
King Ezekiel it's like Ronny explained with option 3 in the video, watch the video lmao
I like option three the best. In this clip, Rick looks like he's glowing and its kind of got a heavenly feel to it. So I think he's just imagining
Jacky G exactly
Sunlight.
Jacky G he just turned on his phone and he forgot the brightness was all the way up lol
They clearly said Rick would die at the end like all the characters but they don't know if they'll make him die at the very end or before
"I want you to pull your arm back as hard as you can and slap yourself right in the face"
That had me dead 😂
I did it lmao
Option 4: AMC does filler episodes until mid season finale, All Out War will be in second half of S8
Helicard yes 👌👌
They've already started filming All Out War and they've only filmed the first half. Therefore the second half will either be a continuation or A New Beginning. The is no room for that much filler.
Helicard it's already been confirmed that the first four episodes are going to be action packed, intense, and fast
According to Scott M Gimple the war will be all season, not just the first or second half.
His hair color makes him look old but the cut makes him look young
jimi Helo yeah if it wasn't for the grey beard he still looks young.
It looks like he fades from young to old- the right side looks young and gets older?
Thank you for welcoming me to Make A Path Presents! Always appreciated man 😈
Honestly such a great and detailed prediction and not just simply this is the new beginning. Great video keep it up Ronny!
THANK YOU!!
I like the idea of Rick dreaming this scene. I personally don't want to see an old, broken, crippled Rick in the tv show. Tv show Rick needs to remain his badass self!
MalySports Rick WAS a cripple in the comics he came back from that. He hasn't used his cane since Andrea passed he's back
Creamy Cornhole Still.
RADIOACTIVE WARHEAD yep in the very start of a new beginning
"I have a rage boiling inside of me. At times like this it's really hard to control and it wants out. Don't give me a reason to let it out, Dwight. Because at this point what's one more fucking grave" - Rick Grimes Issue #169
Still a badass to this day
People who haven't read the comic think he's dreaming the entire story but somehow gets regular hair cuts 😂😂😂
Ummm jk news?
Darwin Zurc 😉
If he was in a coma, the *whole time*, then the zombie-pocalypse never happened to begin with.
The hospital, and society, are still intact. There would be somebody to give him buzzcuts.
People are dumb, the internet shows you the mindset of people and its really...wow lol
TheOriginalCP9
They need to end the show at some point and him dreaming it would be a great ending. I have this whole ending in mind where he is fighting the bad guy, all his friends are dying, finally someone kills Carl and he goes insane fighting back but then finally the bad guy takes down Rick. I know they have comics that take the story further but it's unrealistic to think they will continue the show with the comics forever.
I would go with the Breaking Bad one where we get a flash forward in episode one of season 8
Mordecai The Awesome Bluejay #PuppetMaster that is exactly what I thought when I saw 'old' Rick!
Or little flash forwards scattered through some of the episodes.
Same dude, every time a TV show uses breaking bad references, it somehow manages to make the tv show better😂
Electric Joe That's only because breaking bad is the best show ever made 😂
i dont agree with BB being the best show ever, but i did like the finale. a proper finale
My favorite walking dead talker.
trevchan for me
Walker Talker?
TheOriginalCP9 holy fuck love you hoolia
^me too.
Spidemine yep
If i see shane in this hospital scene I'm gonna lose my mind
I give you mad credit dude, best walking dead discussions on RUclips. Keep up the great work!
I like the idea of a dream/hallucination. I do not however like the idea of All out war being only half of season 8. That would not be cool man, not cool at all. lol.
Not fucking cool
You'd have no fucking idea who not fucking cool that shit is.
if it's five episodes of non stop violence and killing each other i'm fine with only five episodes of all out war
Punisher Fan I'm not
Punisher Fan kinda but I want to see another Lucille head bash 🤤
I'm going to try to present a new side to the "How long will all out war be in the show debate" In my opinion I don't care if it last half a season a full season a season and a half etc just as long as much of the story as possible is interesting and intriguing I'm game. Rick should have dreamed about him back at terminus since he's in a container...AGAIN.
LOL
It might be like that part when he was on top of van and he was thinking of everybody eating on that big table
Might be a hallucination cause he doesn't have his face scars
RollingDutchman after his fight with Pete in season 5
Trey Posey what episode
If u look at ricks face in season 6 and 7 he has a scar on his face
but he have his hand scar
Keep up the great work... You're really good at this
Maybe this clip actually is in the premiere. That's how the 100th episode will pay homage to the first episode. I'd like it if this was a flashfoward
3 Reasons Why
3 Words: A. New. Beginning.
Baduky 8 Wolverine vs Negan
Baduky 8 that's actually 2 words
That's only *a* reason. Adding a period after each word doesn't count as a reason.
Lmao I got a Just for Men ad before this video
Moy510 hahaha
Always love your videos Ronny! Quality predications and overall video!
YES RONNIE, THE CONTAINER THEORY IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING. Maybe he passes out in the container and imagines himself in the perfect world.
mrbenBR exactly. I love that prediction
Never read the comics, but even I knew Rick hasn't been in a coma this entire time
I think this is going to be the opening to season 8, show rick waking up-cut to theme song. Orx he's imagining himself growing old in Alexandria. Thats why he looks so much older, in the real new beginning he will have the brown buzzcut and beard.
Mostly Toasty I could honestly see that
Lol I (jokingly) though while watching the trailer, "Oh well Rick is having a wet dream about being an old man."
Please say AOW lasts more than 5 episodes.
Colton G well it's probably stress too stress can give you grey hair stress is serious especially if your living in a zombie apocalypse in a war with a crazy lunatic with a barbed wire bat.
Bill Cipher I mean yeah but why negan has still black hair maybe he colors his hair and has stuff to keep his hair groomed?
Carl is 15 now.
Khizer Baloch well i guess negan is not stressed about much. He is smiling a lot and has fun.
If it's rick waking up from his coma... then I just wasted my whole life watching this
He's waking up in heaven. Duh. Then he fights zombie Jesus.
Leisure Muffin love it
Leisure Muffin never thought about that.....
Leisure Muffin lol
Someone hire this man.
Zombie Jesus...Rovia? Σ('◉⌓◉’)
Look a the picture - its two dfierent Ricks - old on the left , younger on the right....
Actually I think the option 3 is best, I'm ok if they change that part in comics. Show can go to interesting direction.
Bruce Snow I agree! I think them keeping Rick as a badass that can hold his own on the show is their best bet. I think seeing an old & crippled Rick wouldn't be as entertaining on the show
MalySports Hey now! Don't talk shit on old man comic Rick he'll still bite your goddamn neck out
Creamy Cornhole 😂😂😂
Creamy Cornhole 😂😂
I like your theory of it being option 3. Especially because of where the clip is. At the very end. They like to fuck with us and try and make things appear differently than they actually are.

Heber A Carrillo Hey bub if you're offended don't read it. I'll say what I want.
BIGxBOSSxx1 im baked but i approve this message.
Send them to Syria
Raiders Cat Thank you my friend.
BIGxBOSSxx1 the theory is he was
Fuck Right in the pussy
Another possible theory its a flashforward of Rick in Episode 1. Season 8 finale they show him out of his bed getting ready for new beginning talking to much older Negan in the cell and they follow the comic book route
Praying they don't give AOW just the first half
Baduky 8 There was so sign of the Alexandria bombing in the trailer so maybe its in the mid finale or next half?
It's gonna be a shitstorm in this fandom either way. There's such a divide in people wanting a whole season of war or just half. No way everyone will be satisfied. I think a lot are just desperate to keep moving and rushing through plot and stories sadly.
DB Community I do
Please don't say he was in a coma dreaming of all 8 seasons! 😡I go with that he is just hallucinating 🔮😳😱😱
I like the dreaming theory pretty good,i thought that maybe he was dreaming that he just dreamt the apocalypse and is back in the hospital maybe even see a lori n shane cameo only to awaken in that container
jamie rowe i would love if that happened
lol lol i think it would be pretty cool too,cuz i know i would love a dream like that in an apocalypse
Sad trip down memory lane for rick... everyone he's been with since day 1 has died except for Daryl and carl
Ronny, the season of breaking bad where it was split was 16 episodes, 8 episodes each half, so it can happen for this season
The Walking Dead's choice of trailer songs often give clues to the upcoming season. The song that plays in this trailer is "Prisoner's Song" by Dropkick Murphys. Some of the lyrics are "A prisoner to my thoughts, a number and a cell
Locked up like a dog in this worldly hell" and "Dreaming of a future when our ship comes in." I believe this lends credence to the idea that Rick is in the container, hallucinating or daydreaming.
am I the only one that saw the end of the video?
doomsday Kingdom hype!
It's Rick dreaming that he woke up from the coma as an older man in a normal world.
But the awakening from the coma as an old man is just a dream.
As long as Tara finally dies this season no matter what else happens, that alone will make for a great season.
So harsh. Why do you hate her so?
SpinSpin2020 Burden.
Bro. If Daryl survives the war, imagine what he will look like after the time jump😂 same hair and shit but got all grey hairs😂
Q&A: Rick obviously got his leg broken by Negan, but do you think Negan might cut off Rick's hand?
Lego Robin Sucks Brick he might in the game his hand is gone
I just feel like he is gonna wake up from his coma and everything he had went through in the apocalypse was just a dream
Wow i thought the title said 13 reasons why. Was confused for a sec
CaptainTenTen sameeee
This whole sequence with old Rick has this aura in it that makes me think its a dream or something......
The end scene of the clip is always episode 6 of the season
Josh Bd not always
Maybe he went through it all already, so as he wakes up as in the trailer he is waking up from a dream of what has happened from the begging and he walks out to a big city of people who worker together to build a home for his kids to grow up in and repopulate the state or city. Sooooo, maybe his is just revisiting in his dream what already happened.
Rick looking like gandalf
Ron, your DOOMSDAY KINGDOM trailer at the end was cool as shit man!! I'm definitely buying it when it comes out just from that trailer!! I watched it like 3-4 times, very impressive!! Love the channel, thanks for the hard work!!
Ronny it's just a homage . Don't be excited so easily.
Don Fonzo he said it could be homage so what're you trying to say?
How would it be an homage? I mean, it might not happen exactly like the comic. We could get this scene right at the beginning as a flash forward, but it's definitely Rick after the time skip.
MacGuffin an homage to the pilot episode
Creamy Cornhole I'm trying to say is that season 8 is purely focused on all out war . Him and everybody who thinks that's a coma theory or yet everybody who believes that the eight episode can fullfil all out war while mid season should new beginning. It's just annoying to hear that a lot of people believes things that oppose mine .
Did you not even watch the video?? What you say I believe literally contradicts what I actually believe.
I believe the on the Talking Dead the creators said they weren't going to pull a movie like Lost did where he wakes up from the coma and that the events that occur are real life
WE WANT THE WHISPERERS!!!!!
Good job man really loved it bc im a big walking dead fan boy like fr fr
he didnt just wake up from his coma his pillow is bigger the flowers are different and the background for the room is different
I'm sure if he was in a coma long enough to age that much, he would have been moved either home or to a hospice facility.
He didn't just wake up from a coma. The cane wouldn't make sense.
Exactly, cane implies he's not waking from a comma. (Also no life support)
lostskull7467 came could suggest he's waking up from a coma cos he will have struggle walking after being in a coma for that long
I pick number three because he is too old in that shot for it to be "A New Beginning" which you have said and the comic has suggested is only a few years later. I thought originally it was a foreshadowing by the writer's for Rick's eventual death, since Kirkman has said he does want to kill Rick off in the comic. But your suggestion makes better sense to me. Good Video!
I have to agree option 3.
Don't forget they are not done filming season 8. They break up the filming also. The season finale won't usually be filmed until this coming November so most if not all the trailer we see will be the premiere episode. It being the 100th episode and all. A call back to him waking up in the hospital bed in the pilot episode.
i like option one an amige to episode 1 because the first episode of season 8 is episode 100
GOG same here!
If you look at the visual effects they used on this shot its similar to the "table setting" clip where everyone is happy and dining. My guess is, this clip is a dream sequence.
Can't wait to see Negan judo snap ricks leg
Ruben Torres it might not happen
Ruben Torres this happens in the comics? Hahaha.
why would you want that to happen?
ExtremeBassLine cause Negan is a bad ass and it'd be awesome
Poor Rick
the only way this can work is if its the mid season finale and the entire season (8x16) ends with the dudes hearing the whisperers, going back and telling their crazy story about whispering zambees.
I clicked like before even watching the video.... I guess you could say I'm a fan😂
"I want you to pull your arm back as hard as you can and slap yourself...." 😂😂😂 Thank you, Ronny. Much love.
ITS LOGANRICK LOL
Eric Zavala gay
That’s fkin funny
I thought it was a time skip straight away, great to get more info confirming it - Thanks!
I'll take option three please
i really really hope it's a hallucination
R.i.p shiva season 7 - Season 8 😔❤️
Khizer Baloch Shiva is not fucking dead
She is dead in the comics, BUT there is a chance that she won't die in the series
NO NOT SHIVA ANYTHING BUT SHIVA.
Old rick kinda looking like Hershel Greene 🤔
Why would people think its him waking up from a coma? Have people never read the comics?
BIG CHACHI I was in a book store a few months ago when I saw this girl buying a Walking Dead comic. I talked to her about it for a minute and she commented about how much different it is than the show. When we finished talking about the comic, her boyfriend said in a tone suggesting pride in what he was saying,
"Yeah, well I just watch the show because it doesn't involve reading."
So to answer your question, no. Almost no one read the comics because having to read shit is a chore... I guess.
Love how you worked in the Doomsday Kingdom plug! : )
option 3
Rick looks so old that you could stand next to him and fart and he would think he did it.
This will be the first scene we see of season 8 !
He will think back and show us what led to his injury.
Breaking Bad actually was 16 episodes. 501 opened with 52 y/o Walt getting the gun, and 509, opened with him at the house.
I agree, they will likely do AOW across all 16 eps, each premiere will cold open with the flash forward, culminating in the finale.
Option
1. Jesus has given rick his beard grooming training
2. Rick has been possessed by Hershals ghost
3. Rick is more afraid of catheters more now than zombies.
I bet Old Rick is what he looks like when he really wakes up from his coma and the whole zombie apocalypse etc was just a dream
I think it's Rick in the future. There's three people in the room with him. Carl who is setting down, base on the blurriness. Judith looking at the cane, base on height; And Machonne standing over the bed, base on that what she most likely would be doing.
I think the rick aged might just being a hallucination for the show I think it's probably just gonna be him being like will I make it that fare ?
It would be a good plot twist if that old Rick that we're seeing is like he gets knocked unconscious and he wakes up in the hospital bed but he has to use a cane and he's old and then when he's at the hospital something happens where he gets knocked out again and then wakes up where he's actually being held captive so he gets a few moments of peace and serenity and then all of the sudden boom right back in the s*** lol
lol I love hearing what people who haven't read the comics think about what the old rick cane scene means
Crimsonlee2XX I think you misunderstood. His "waking up" would be a dream sequence designed to fake out the audience.
I'm so upset that they're cutting off Rick's hair. He looks so much better with long hair
I think the soft lighting makes him look older than intended... and it's just a couple of years ahead as suggested.
