Mehmet Okur, omg. I cannot imagine my hero to play at the Warriors in his prime. He started the meta of stretch European centers together with Nowitzki.
Memo was neither particularly strong and athletic nor a great defender, he wasn't a great rebounder or passer and he didn't have a great post game or footwork. Yet he managed to be a key piece in a strong NBA team by playing as a true stretch 5 off picks or straight spot ups, yet wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty in the paint either. Truly a player who was ahead of his time. He would've been one of the most sought-after centers these days.
what a legend ! if it wasn't to his injuries, instead of taking 4th spot on list of best 3 point shooters over 6'11 nba history ,he would have had first or second spot. and he loved it under pressure , so many buzzer beaters, so many rainbows . if he played today, guaranteed all star every year
Okur's playing style by shooting three point was great by NBA era he played and as a big man. I wish he played more games in NBA but injuries etc. didn't let him to play.
This man Walked so Jokic could run. His game is what we see out of all current euro players. Also underrated
As a nation, we are proud of our player's achievements together. Gretings from İstanbul to basketball fans in Utah.
Memo was so underrated, so clutch. Would’ve been awesome in today’s NBA, too.

Our best offensive Center ever…!
Okur is a nice guy. We like him as fans, especially in Utah where we value loyalty. Will he be in the hall of fame? Nah. But we'll honor him here.
