I hate fomo, and depending on how severe it is, I'll ignore a game that has fomo all together. So I'll definitely be watching to see how they handle this. I'm a completionist. Biggest reason I dropped Dokkan, despite DB being my favorite IP, was because it'd be impossible to collect all the units without putting thousands of dollars into it. So depending on how quickly packs go away, what can be traded and when, and how easy/hard it is to get cards after the pack their from is no longer available will determine if this game is a waste of my time or not. Also, I know it's a gatcha, but the best gatcha's have good pity.
Finally got charizard from the rare pick !! :) no idea why, but the holo final evolution cards feel like some of the hardest to get in the game bar crown rares .. all the cards I’m missing bar exceedingly rare cards are final stage evos. I did ironically enough finally pull a charizard in a pack as well, so I hope I can unlock the icon pretty soon :)
One of the biggest benefits of online tcgs is they can usually leave a base permanent card set to give all players a baseline of easy playable decks everyone has access too, and then they can rotate event packs and stuff on top of that, doesnt look like they will do it that way, but it would be good for future new players, and give a card base for a pve campaign
Them removing sets completely is not a good sign. How is no one arguing against this? This is not good practice at all. Forcing FOMO on players is beyond messed up.
Just keep opening packs my friend, at one point you will end up getting them. I am still opening trying to find a second Machamp EX, without luck, but I have enough to make him using points, but I will still open packs and only if I see the new set without having found him I will use point, otherwise I will use the points to try to fill any remaining card in my Dex.
genetic apex likely wont actually expire, this is a. casual game, i think that piece of text is there for actual limited sets, theres limited timers on things you can only get for a limited time.
"A while" what an official answer from someone taking my money free and clear. I'm sure if I purchase poke coins and tell them I'll pay for them in a while, totally acceptable correct?
What i want to know, is if this game will be like real TCG. i don't play it myself, but doesn't the official TCG have set rotations? after a few months or sets, all the cards become illegal and you can only use new sets? that's why i dont buy pokemon cards IRL. if that rule isn't in place anymore, i might be willing to buy cards IRL again.
the people who say this game is boring, are majorly missing the point of the game. of course it’s going to be boring if you spend your way to completion immediately or don’t care for the battling. self inflicted wounds.
The amount of rampant false information spreading on Reddit over this was ridiculous. The only thing we KNEW before this is that they "expire when the set is no longer available". Why this spread to people believing a set would expire immediately when a new set released is beyond me. Imagine if the actual TCG did this 🤣🤣 If we are limited to 4 sets at a time, and assuming a mini set every expansion, we still have 6 months. 6!! I'm almost done with the base set of Genetic (yes I want all the secret arts, but I can "play" w/e I want after completing the base, which is all I care about). And I've only been playing for 3 weeks. I highly doubt we'll be limited to just 4 sets at a time though, as they can easily remove pack art, or add a scroll function to the menu. Time will tell, but still plenty of time to get what you're missing regardless.
Can we all just be honest and say this Arcanine event is below subpar… 😂

Bro thank you for this I was terrified because I was getting nothing good recently so this is hella good news
the dragonite dancing catches me off guard every time man 😭😭
I’m glad the sets will still be around there are still cards I want from them.
I laughed at 'strongest genes'. Translators did good work with genetic apex
This is great news tbh i've been worried i wont hit the pack points I needed to save before they ran out
Oh nice I was worried about that, now I can safely start saving up for a Sabrina Alt Art if I dont manage to get a 2nd Moltres EX before then
I just hope they will Focus on what players can do during the day (events, ranked, bot fights) instead of pumping sets every other month
Thanks for the updates as always
Genetic apex won't disappear, Mini sets will have a expire date. That's what i heard early in the game stage
Them removing sets completely is not a good sign. How is no one arguing against this? This is not good practice at all. Forcing FOMO on players is beyond messed up.
You are so fast on the draw with news! Thank you!
I doubt availability has to do whether or not it can fit on the screen.. you can scroll
Do you think they would do something like hearthstone and have a "base" set that is always there and that could be Genetic Apex?
Thanks, this confirmation is great! No rush to spend pack points then.
Right 6 months to get immersive pika and charizard. Wish me luck boys o7
Good news for me as f2p if is true, iam still trying to get 2 moltres😢
Just keep opening packs my friend, at one point you will end up getting them.
I am still opening trying to find a second Machamp EX, without luck, but I have enough to make him using points, but I will still open packs and only if I see the new set without having found him I will use point, otherwise I will use the points to try to fill any remaining card in my Dex.
Hoping to pull everything I need from GA and moving on from it by the time the new expansion is released
Really good info thank you 👍
I like to think that the current "event" is a breather for a more intense and fun future event. Or I'm just being optimistic.
I’m so excited to see the new cards!
0:42 How do I claim my prize?
hope they add hourglass upon completion of daily rewards. 3days to open 1 pack full of normies 😢
I hope I can get at least 1 of each card before the next set. Im only missing a few cards
I am so ready for what’s next after the Arcanine event… I am out here struggling to get any hourglasses for the packs and wonder trades already
Didn't expect to have to worry about the sets disappearing
I swear the devs def already mentioned the pack point thing but oh well
genetic apex likely wont actually expire, this is a. casual game, i think that piece of text is there for actual limited sets, theres limited timers on things you can only get for a limited time.
you guys are nervous for no reason,,
"A while" what an official answer from someone taking my money free and clear. I'm sure if I purchase poke coins and tell them I'll pay for them in a while, totally acceptable correct?
I need my golden crown charizard before this set is gone, glad to hear i have many months to achieve that :D
I didn’t know this. I purposely ignore the info just because I like getting my info here.
I can’t wait for new sets of cards to come out to make new decks and changing up the meta
I really like that the pocket devs at least know what the community thinks
I'm excited for upcoming sets but want to finish the dex so I'm worried I'll miss some.
phew. i’ll still prob use my pack points on cards i dont have in a pack i’m not opening
Do we have to get all 150 card from genetic apex set for mew Or promo cards also counts??
From what I known. Promo don't count, but ex can replace base version. If someone knows more, Correct me if I'm wrong
@User1273- Thank you
Happy to see that they are giving us a decent amount of time to pull packs.
I really need to see a Mewtwo slap xD
