I noticed you are a big help answering lots of questions for everyone here! I just want to thank you:) AND a bigger THANK YOU for using a Honda for your deminstration
The MK808 will work on those cars generally. However, note that the MK808 is NOT an active scan tool, therefore, it is unable to initiate an active test such as this.
Thanks mate! I used my phone (has an accelerometer, most smartphones do) with a vibration measurement app called Vibrometer. Accelerometers measure vibration and/or acceleration.
The MK906BT will do all that the MP808 will. If comparing to the MP808TS, the MK906BT will not carryout the full TPMS functions that autel scanners with the 'TS' suffice would. That said, the MK906BT has some advantages on hardware, it can also use some autel add-ons like an oscilloscope & video camera. It also has additional OBD connectors and better battery life. It just boils down to the range of function you want to have.
Thanks for watching! It really depends on what's causing the shaking and there's a whole lot that can. Can you describe the shaking further (when it happens, under what's circumstance)? Does it start at a certain speeds or when braking or when loads are applied? Whether or not the MP808TS will diagnose the vibration depends on the cause. If its unbalanced tires or worn CV axles, it definitely would not. But it will if the cause is performance related, it should identify the cause.
@@DIYAutoworksNG we took the car to Mercedes and they can’t find the problem, it doesn’t happen all the time, sometimes when it is cold when stating the car it vibrates, and sometimes when you accelerate, it feels like one of the spark plugs, and sometimes it can be the turbo, and then everything works fine for couple of months, and then suddenly it starts again, only for a few seconds then disappears, it is more when accelerating
This kind of intermittent problem is the worst to track down and even the best of scan tools will struggle to identify this. If there are no codes set, reading livedata when this happens may be the only way to get a sense of what's happening. If you have a scanner, you may check for the presence of temporary codes...

@@DIYAutoworksNG got it thank you. i will go to buy

Can you match parts to car with your scan tool ie... fuel pump module.
In principle, yes. But this largely depends on the car. What car are you considering this for?
Great video, what tool did you use to test vibration?

Can the 906BT do the same thing the 808 can ? About to order one but don’t want to make the wrong choice
Hi,
Thanks for watching! Just to be sure, are you referring to the MK906BT or the MS906BT?

@@DIYAutoworksNG okay thank you for the break down I really appreciate it !
HI, I have a problem with my Mercedes w204, sometimes it shacks when driving, can it detect when doing an engine test on this MP808TS ?
Thanks for watching!
