it works pretty well, actually this is an old version/the one now is 6.5.3. so guys don't get confused after you drag the first picture to the time line that time go and click property and set it as sequence. I followed the steps on the video and did not works after few attempts I reveal the way on how to get it done! and here we go I created my video from 1800 frames! thank you TJ FREE.

0:58 when I go back to my playlist and drag it down, only the image is being shifted there, not the whole clip.

Make sure you're double clicking on the picture you put in the playlist so that it has a red outline

For some reason when I drag and drop the file it wont copy. Do the images have to be in a certain format for this to work?
This operation does not work if you are accessing sequential pictures in a file folder. It MUST be used with Windows Photo viewer which only views one photo at a time on my machine. There appear to be some hacks to the registry required for all pics to open in the viewer which automatically links or sequences the pictures. A lot of work, don't have time or inclination to play with the registry.....

For some odd reason image sequencer doesn't appear on my shotcut despite it appearing the last time I did this. Anyone else having the same issue?
Did the images need to be in a folder? Or did it need to be a sequence or even similar to each other? I've tried to make a video using different imagens with different contexts and no similarity and it just didn't works.
i realise i'm 2 years late but the similarity of the images doesn't affect anything, they just need to be numbered and in the same folder

How to convert video to audio in short cut video editing software?
Good question. Add the video to the timeline at the bottom, then right click on it, and select 'Detach Audio'. Another good way, if you have Audcaity, you can just drag and drop any video file into it and it will import just the audio.

Good question, Anton. Yes. with the clip selected in the 'Playlist' select the Properties tab to the left (or the icon along the top), it will show the original FPS fort the video.

How do the frames per second work
Usually animations have 24 Frames per second but the one im trying to do has 30
I there a way to resize the video. The actual video covers way less area. I had 16:9 frames which when I converted them to 16:9 video the images become so small
I don't get how you only dragged & dropped the 1st photo, but got them all in there in one file.
shotcut loads the other pictures itself if you mark "sequence"

Yeah i tried a bunch of stuff but DAIN worked super well. Its open source and works as an AI interpolation but it also has an option to input a video and split it into frames.

That's true. Most video editors will detects when importing sequential images and ask to convert it to a video. I felt like Shotcut had a none intuitive way of doing this, by having to check a box in the image properties, so I made a video to help show how to do it.

Good question. I've been playing around with this, and hope to make a detailed video about it soon. Its more about how you capture the video or images using either a special camera or a special app. Once the video is captured, it can be edited, for basic edits, using any decent video editor. Free software that can help in this precess are Blender and Gimp.

Each picture is only one frame, so the frame rate is irrelevant.

@@rgbtryhardled636 You're entering static images to make a video. What does the frame rate matter? You're not using action footage at all. What's your answer to this question?
Like a slide show or panorama?.
This is more like turning a lot of pictures into a single video, where each picture is displayed for only a fraction of a second. A picture slide show can also be done in Shotcut, but it does not use this method. Each picture is brought in on its own. I think I have a video showing how to do this also...

Unfortunately, there was only Google's own slide show maker which was suspended a long time ago...
There is a new version of Shotcut (20.06) that has a Slideshow Generator in the menu at the bottom of the Playlist panel.

This is frustrating
Did 0:58 but all it did was show the first image for 3 seconds
I had the same problem. Right clicking the video in the timeline going to properties and un and recheck sequenz. It worked for me

Did exactly as in the video. In the preview are it's all fine (20 sec video), when placing it to the timeline area it becomes just the first 3 sec!! Useless!!!
Look along the bottom of the video in the source viewer for a blue area with a red boarder. This shows the part of the source video that will be copied to the timeline. Pressing 'i' and 'o' on the keyboard set the in and out points for the video, and maybe the 'o' got pressed by mistake and Shotcut thought you only wanted to use that part of the video. Redraging the video from the playlist onto the source viewer again will make the entire video selected or click and drag the triangles on each end to adjust. Hope that helps!

Just drag all of the pictures to your playlist, and then add them to your timeline in the order you want, one by one. It will work the exact same way.

@@Luna-wo4el You have Shotcut open, then open the file where you have your pictures. Hold left click on the pictures you want and drag them into the playlist on the left of the program. Then hold left click on the pictures from your playlist one by one and drag them down into your timeline. Does that help?
