Why can't they buy properties and camp on them? I saw on another video that they owned the land, but they weren't allowed to camp on it. If they can buy the land, why is it a problem for it to be a designated traveler property? All the ones I saw that were designated were clean and well kept. In the US we have Amish communities, and Native reservations, so I don't understand why they can't have their areas too.
in the US, zoning laws are a huge barrier that tell people what they can or can't use thier own property for. I expect it's the same thing over there -- the whole neighborhood is legally "zoned" by the local municipality to only have single family homes built on it, for example, & nothing else is allowed.
@@s.a.4076 I'm assuming so, but I feel like if it's that big of an issue, they should be willing to change some areas. In the US they can be changed. At least in the state I live in, I've seen properties changed from business to living. That being said, I've also seen owners get shut down for building houses taller than they're allowed in the zone. Recently a family member put a house on a property that was owned by their grandmother, and all they made them do is give it a different address. I know the UK is likely vastly different for that stuff. But I just think if its such a big issue, it can be done if they wanted to. I think they just don't want to, they'd rather the community give up.
I know its innapropriate for the wee wee ones but its weirdly kinda refreshing to see an extremely conservative community that allow the girls to dress and wear whatever they want for the most part. For all the downsides and odd practices, there's at least a smidge of freedom for women to express themselves outwardly
