I feel that gandhi was indirectly supported hindutatva
The man who stood against apartheid ( discrimination based on colour) in africa .But did nothing concrete to eradicate 4 colour based caste in hindu religion ( varna means colour) . Hindu religion is (was) divided into 4 castes based on colour

Varna ain't caste according to Gandhi. One is by deed other is hereditary. Plus he said if scriptures sanctioned one to exploit others then we should do away with those scriptures. All India harijan society was organised by him, attended / presided over vaikom satyagrah, Castless/classless society in tolstoy farm. He did a plenty.

see at that time Englishmen were the rulers and we were ruled....so we didnt have the leverage of deciding completely......Gandhiji did that which was the best possible at that time......just for a second imagine yourself in Gandhiji's shoes and think how difficult things were for him.....you will get your answer.......
