      Good question! We use a standard factor for all solar panels output boosting circumstances like a sunny day with a very clear snowpack ( additional light reflected off the snow). The factor is 1.3 or 130 %.
      For example, consider 260w solar panels used to change a 12v battery.
      System voltage 12v.
      Current rating = (solar panels (w)/ system voltage ) × safety factor (1.3)
      So, the current rating is = (260 × 12v) × 1.3 = 28.16 amps
