Yeah, it’s actually a pretty big downer. I like bands that can sound like the record but also be real musicians live and play parts a little differently. I’ve seen Lenny twice. Once as an opener, and once as the main act. Lenny as the opener was WAY better. More musicianship, more freedom, more musical. At his concert, I was bored out of my mind. Such killer musicians playing the same stuff as the record just killed it.

One of my favorite songs (instrumentally) in my highschool days. I think it’s kind of a genius mix of beatles, Motown, and prince in the vocals. I’ve always been kind bummed that he never opened up the vocal live though. I’m sure it was a confident decision.
