It was my first time at Barber Motorsports Park and I couldn't believe how beautiful it was and how much of the track you can see from opposite the pits. The trams are constantly running and it only takes 10 minutes (15 on race day) to get around the entire track. There was sooo much racing. Of course IndyCar, Indy Lights, IMSA Prototype Challenge, USF2000, Porshe Cup, and MX5. I got to meet Graham Rahal and Sebastian Bourdais as well! Well done IndyCar and well done Barber! Oh yeah [SPOILERS], and I was so excited to see Newgarden get his first win with Penske!
This is the best road course in the states. The design of the track and the elevation changes are sublime. We need more road courses like this one. :) BTW: Great race. Looking forward to the new Indycar 2018 chassis on this track next year. :)
Havent watched the indi series for many years. it was always shown early hours on one of our free channels. Well having watched this i do declare its awesome racing and will watch again and including Alonsos debut drive😊
I just love how its on the youtube channel tbh. I have to stay up till 2 to watch the race live but we can watch the whole race from the official youtube channel is just amazing
Hey Alanso!! The Indycar series would be more than happy to have you if you're ever interested in making the switch from F1. You'd be an excellent addition to the grid!
it's amazing how many times they are so close of being off the track!!! why not make that part wider?....wouldn't it be safer aswell..( I know I know SHOOSH UP you silly Smurf)..😜🐈💙
This past NASCAR game sucked. Graphics are terrible. Codemasters makes great graphics with the F1 games. I wish IndyCar would expand kind of like what NFL does from time to time by having a game over in England. Just have a race at the classic track Brands Hatch in England or something.
greatODINS_raven I never got the chance to play Project Cars. We at least they will have IndyCar and a lot of the tracks. I just wish you could race as some of your favorite IndyCar drivers. I like Newgarden and all but I'm a Will Power fan #12 🇦🇺🤘🏻
I just want to clarify, when I said Indycar Series I meant the PS2 game from Codemasters. Project Cars will have some of the cars and tracks, but it really isn't the same
Ryan Hunter Reay Should Increase his speed because at pocono 2015 he was realy good he was also good at pocono raceway 2016 but it didnt end up very well
Fritz they are very similar. Indycar uses 2.2L turbo V6 NO hybrid system and produces up to 800hp F1 uses 1.6L V6 with two different hybrid systems and produces close to 1000hp. F1 car is slightly smaller and lighter than the indycar... Maybe 100kg or 200lbs Top speed ever for an Indycar was 245+mph (395kph) and top speed for f1 car was 360kph. This is because the f1 car produces more downforce than the indycar - if both cars were built ONLY for speed in a straight line the f1 car would actually lose the race - however if they removed half of the downforce of the f1 car it would probably go over 400kph (250-255 mph) or possibly faster.
The more interviews i see from Alonso, the more i'd appreciate the idea of him switching to Indycars, maybe in 2018. Why even bother anymore with F1, in a team like McLaren, which simply sucks at the moment? I'm sure he could win the championship in Indycar, even in his first season, like Mansell did. And he'd have winning material. And for Indycars, it'd be a great addition, and promotion.
What's frustrating is we can't see any video of the Pace Car @ the Honda Grand Prix. Why? All that talking head stuff - yes I know they need a job, but show the Pace Car.
This is probably the best circuit IndyCar runs on. I think it's better than the Indy road course. And why IndyCar doesn't race at COTA is a complete mystery to me, but now that Bernie is out of the picture in F1, maybe it will happen. Race cars should not be racing over railroad tracks and manhole covers. WTF?
We also need some American drivers crossing over into F1 to make that interesting for USA race fans. But I remember the disasterous Michael Andretti crossover to F1, it wasn't pretty.
CART was great back in the early 90s, and then the horrible CART / IRL split that ruined everything. I really think IndyCar is ready for a resurgence, if they can get a few more 'name' drivers from F! to jump over. Just like Nigel did back then after winning an F1 Championship. Lure a big name to race full time in 2018, and NASCAR is toast in this country Mario and Emerson were also racing CART when Nigel came over, we need a core of F1 guys taking over Indy or it will forever be a one race 'Indy 500' thing that anyone cares about.
Schedule 31 Races 1. Sacramento 2. Alabama 3. Oakland 4. Seattle 5. San Fransisco 6. Las Vegas 7. Washington 8. Albuqerque 9. New England 10. San Bernardino 11. Barstow 12. Wyoming 13. Wisconsin 14. Can we all just take a minute to thank IndyCar for putting these full-length replays online? They make my work day so much better.

It was my first time too. It's like 10 minutes from my house.
I wish they had more races on the schedule. Like the one they did in Louisiana a couple of times, Las Vegas, the Milwaukee Mile.
They used to race at Las Vegas, but haven't since Dan Wheldon's fatal crash there in 2011.
#RIPDanWheldon
IsReallyIt Yea I know but I just really like that track. I miss Dan Wheldon.
And for that IndyCar doesn't race at Las Vegas and all the other 1.5 mile tracks and 2.0 mile tracks.
The camera work and coverage at this track borders on art
Man, IndyCar is such a great series these days. I think it’s at the top of motor sports currently and SRX as well. Much better than NASCAR currently
I love this track. It feels to me like Spa with all those trees, undulations and high speed corners.
This is the best road course in the states. The design of the track and the elevation changes are sublime. We need more road courses like this one. :) BTW: Great race. Looking forward to the new Indycar 2018 chassis on this track next year. :)

Thank you for making these available on RUclips!

FurnitureRow-EJ-MTJ-7778 Same here. i love watching it
went to the sports car races here, but never Indy yet. Beautiful place.
Thanks Indy. Great racing as always.
I really wish Formula One would race at Barber motorsports Park for the US Grand Prix
Things I miss in IndyCar: pretty cars, good sounding engines, Portland, Cleveland, multiple manufactures (chassis, engine, tires), and Paul Page.
Byron, I live in Portland and rumor around here and Robin Miller is a return to PDX in 2018... #fingerscrossed
That would be good news for the track. Sorry the cars are so ugly now.
Formula1 could learn a thing or two showing entire races on youtube, well done :)
Fernando alonso piloto de F1 espero que tenga mejor suerte en la indy500 millas. Suerte campeón. Viva España ¡¡¡¡¡
Hey Alanso!!
The Indycar series would be more than happy to have you if you're ever interested in making the switch from F1.
You'd be an excellent addition to the grid!
man I love the sound when the cars leave the pit stop.
JOSEF!!!! So proud of you!!!! ❤ you man!
Gosto de assistir a Indy!
3:02, like that statue of that guy trying to push over that piller where all of those people are standing on
it's amazing how many times they are so close of being off the track!!! why not make that part wider?....wouldn't it be safer aswell..( I know I know SHOOSH UP you silly Smurf)..😜🐈💙
It's a nice track.
Just please Codemasters or someone make a IndyCar game for the love of god!!
10 times yes.
Indycar Series is great and all, but dang it's been too long.
This past NASCAR game sucked. Graphics are terrible. Codemasters makes great graphics with the F1 games. I wish IndyCar would expand kind of like what NFL does from time to time by having a game over in England. Just have a race at the classic track Brands Hatch in England or something.
its not the same, but project cars 2 will have indycar and a lot of the tracks
greatODINS_raven I never got the chance to play Project Cars. We at least they will have IndyCar and a lot of the tracks. I just wish you could race as some of your favorite IndyCar drivers. I like Newgarden and all but I'm a Will Power fan #12 🇦🇺🤘🏻

Way to go Honda 26:46
Ryan Hunter Reay Should Increase his speed because at pocono 2015 he was realy good he was also good at pocono raceway 2016 but it didnt end up very well
The current theme is great, but this one is better though.

Whats the different between formula 1 and indycar?
Fritz Fritz less technical
:I Not really. It's just different.
It's hard to explain, and both series change all the time. Simply put, they're just two different yet somewhat similar open-wheel series.
Fritz they are very similar.
Indycar uses 2.2L turbo V6 NO hybrid system and produces up to 800hp
F1 uses 1.6L V6 with two different hybrid systems and produces close to 1000hp.
F1 car is slightly smaller and lighter than the indycar... Maybe 100kg or 200lbs

F1 teams build the cars themselves, IndyCar teams all start with the same car, F1 teams have a lot more to work on
Fernando Alonso interview at 19:00

The NeW KiD He definitely has the potential to win the indy championship, hes one of the best racecar drivers in the last 20 years
chakko007 Should run IndyCar with McLaren like he is at the 500
he said he didnt want to race in the whole tournament. Only in 500
Love Leigh Diffy!
Along with T Bell and PT

gonna probably start watching the races on youtube there is just way to many commercials on tv. f1 is a lot more enjoyable to watch for that reason.
indycar drivers are coming to japan for Honda Racing thanks day 2019 in motegi coming this november or december.
We also need some American drivers crossing over into F1 to make that interesting for USA race fans.
But I remember the disasterous Michael Andretti crossover to F1, it wasn't pretty.
ALONSO YA DEJA LA F1 Y VEN A INDY
50:00 Its not a beautiful pass when you have to push your opponent off the track to get ahead...
CART was great back in the early 90s, and then the horrible CART / IRL split that ruined everything.

They don't really dominate like they use to, most F1 drivers would just end up mid pack to upper mid pack at best, the talent pool is pretty even.
