just US$30k for this Tesla Model Y rival looks like a nice deal. trouble is, China's EV market is so hyper-competitive that there are still cheaper alternatives (eg: Leapmotor C10 starts ay US$18k).
The architecture voltage 400v and 800v are more classes than set voltage figures, so an actual 900v vehicle would be classified as an 800v architecture
@@burnttoast9890I understand that but in term of logic, L60 is bigger better and cheaper and also not a death trap, if people still be choosing Model Y then it’s not about the car anymore
I’m about to watch the video but I think Tesla is going to surprise a lot of people with Model Y refresh that will be launched by the time the L60 does. At the end of the day, there’s still a @&@!& ton of gas car sales to get. Tesla only has around 3% market share in China. Good electric cars should increase in sales together.
I do not like the front bonnet shut like because the line is broken at several places and runs pseudo-parallel to the crease over the wheel well, then switches to the top of the headlights. Good concept, but I find the execution poor. Simple is better I think. Too bad too, because I dig the overall feel of the front. This implementation of the split headlight is pretty alright.

Is it? Sure, it miles off but there are zero chinese cars in the USA. Not sure how that could make even a fraction of a difference or are you just a Tesla fanboy? Tesla uses cltc in China. Nio uses Wltp nedc in Europe. When in Rome.
@@reginald7214 certainly not a Tesla fanboy, and I have zero investment in either company,. But as someone who lives outside the country and just learned about the difference it's important that it's pointed out sl since many people do not know about it.
One big advantage of NIO and Onvo EV is that you have the possibility of battery swapping battery upgrading or charging and of course no worries about the degrading of the battery.
Let's not focus only on short-term gains but consider the long-term growth of NIO's stock. By calculating the potential revenue from battery swapping, we can get a clearer picture. Next year, NIO's revenue from battery swapping is expected to be around $3.6 million. This is based on the assumption of four swaps per day at a cost of $14 per swap, which results in approximately $730 in annual revenue per vehicle. With the current participation of eight companies in battery swapping and a monthly sales estimate of 50,000 vehicles, we can extrapolate these figures. By 2030, NIO's revenue from battery swapping alone is projected to reach $7.8 billion annually. Adding the fees from NIO's extensive network of charging stations, which are used by 85% of other companies, the total revenue is expected to exceed $10 billion. This estimate does not include vehicle sales from NIO's sub-brand, ONVO.
The annoying and ugly thing that distorts the design and appearance of any car especially an electric car, which is the front vehicle number plate. Yes, a statutory legal topic, but we really want to push this topic forward to remove it (like some united states of America). Great review with a wonderful camera though.
Efficiency is based on many factors, one of them is the curb weight. If Tesla has a heavier structure and safer cabin, then the different in the efficiency is irrelevant. Safety is way more important, so I will wait until the safety rating comes out to make my mind.
busy to my eye… battery swap is something for china urban area nio might have begun to service and where most buyers might be apartment dwellers… but it is still limited by daily volume demand … makes zero sense for world wide demand… longer range and home charging makes sense for road cars in america where average driver is driving less then 40 miles daily
In terms of safety metrics, Nio's target of making smart driving 10 times safer than human driving by 2025 sets a clear benchmark for improvement, with current progress at 6.26 times safer. On the other hand, Tesla's FSD safety claims include significantly lower accident rates compared to human drivers, although precise comparative metrics like Nio's are less frequently detailed.
Have to agree with Sean. This L60 definitely is not going to steal anything from Tesla. The looks are average/boring at best and alot less refined than a proper NIO (side mirrors are pretty horrible). Granted its much cheaper. The range specs are also nothing special , and not on par when compared to Xiaomi. Which is surprising as they claim good aerodynamics and efficiency. And comparing to Tesla is a bit misleading as this has a 900V architecture and Tesla is still achieving that efficiency with an inefficient 400V system.- So perhaps the rest of the cocktail like weight etc is not that optimal. No mention so far of other performance specs like Acceleration , braking and max speed. At least they got rid of that annoying Nomi. Still a terrible name of a car. ON-VO
