@@BridgetCappeltwo in person tci 12 season 1st one: you’re obviously tw there’s nothing warm about you 2nd one: you’re neutral warm, DA colors are your best 😂😂😂
Hey Nikki do not get upset if your undertone is very neutral it actually means that temperature is not your primary characteristic. Maybe you are a deep winter/autumn so instead of temperature the depth of a color determines your season in that sense you could wear both warm and cool colors provided they are dark enough. Or maybe you are a muted season and chroma is your primary essence in that you can wear both warm and cool colors provided that they contain a lot of gray and are dusty. Hope this info helps. ♡♡♡
@@BridgetCappelyes! Color breeze made ma finally realised that I’m a toasted Soft Summer. I have a neutral olive undertones, so for me temperature is not that important (although I’m leaning cool). I knew that I am somewhat between soft summer and soft autumn because when I tan I can wear gold. But what was new for me is that I also need depth of the color. And that it is actually the most important characteristic for me. So I’m very grateful, because I was once analyzed as Bright Spring and once as a Deep Autumn (I have brown eyes and dark blond hair) 😅
This is so interesting, I'm a bright winter (woo!) but a neutral base. Not a snow qhite trad BW, took me ages to get the right season because of that AND that I have a fairly neutral base. You've explained it really well - it makes more sense now! ❤
A potential question for your future questions video: How important do you think hair color is in color season determination? I have hair that looks a little stereotypically "summery" but the Summer colors either wash me out or make me go a little gray. When I test a TW or BW color, the hair looks richer in pigment. So strange. I don't think people would consider me a Winter though since I don't have that stereotypical jet black hair. When I was a kid, my hair was much blonder. I don't tan much and when I'm not tanned at all, my skin is close to a neutral porcelain color. My eyes are a blue that have basically no detectable yellow or other warmth in them. I need to get analyzed ASAP so I can start building up a wardrobe 😅😅
@@cinnamonswords2427 that’s such a great question and something I’ve had on my mind to go over. A lot of the seasonal stereotypes are not entirely accurate as to what we see in real life and in nature. Bright winters for example are the lightest of the winters and often have naturally ash or lighter golden brown hair, like the color of tea. So it’s very possible and likely that you are indeed a winter. Bright springs can be blonde or have very dark hair. My husband is a bright golden blonde True Autumn with green eyes (totally thought he was going to be a spring!) It’s pretty fascinating how much variation there is in each season. Hair should look healthy and clean and clearer in pigment when you have the right colors on. If you’re getting a greasy or graying affect in certain colors chances are that’s not your season.
@@BridgetCappelWell today I went on TCI’s website and found an analyst 1.5 hours away from me and another one 2 hours away from me, so perhaps I’ll finally have an answer much sooner than I expected! 🤞
@@BridgetCappelthank you for saying this. I’m naturally golden blonde, which confused my analyst, but she couldn’t deny the swatches! I’m high chroma first, moderately cool, and only moderate contrast.
My 3rd analysis made the most sense but I still feel like there has to be another subseason out there for me. I'm muted, med to dark, very neutral (slight cool). Was told my skin is most harmonious with SS but I can shift to SA and Winter with the right makeup to make up the difference. I have tried the makeup recommendations for all 12 seasons and still think I look best when I mix warm and cool shades evenly. Can't be too deep so I know I'm not a dark season or too bright and at the same time too muted does not give my face life. In regards to app analysis Vivaldi color gives me SS, TS or TW, Style DNA gives me light summer (every time), Dressika gives me DA, DW, TW and BW and Colorwise gives me DW and TW. Sephora cam matches me to midline neutral for foundation recs but I normally just buy a warm and cool foundation and mix. Oh and out of curiousity Ive been researching the iris pattern thing and see characteristics of summer , autumn and winter so that is not at all helpful either lol.
I like the 16 version, it's also excluding the true types as seperate and showing how we can borrow from the contrasting groups if we are not true 😅 that makes it a bit more flexible or confusing depending on how much/little we know about where we "belong". When i realised I could borrow some warm colors across the wheel I understood why I love some autumn colors as well. Hope you will make a vid about that too.
I remember finding Carole Jackson's book lying around the apartm. building where I lived. Read it and everything fell into place. I was a Winter. To find out my subseason, It's a lot harder and I don't have the budget for a prof. consultant. So I just go by what my eyes r telling me while buying clothes.
You can always try lipstick draping if you are pretty sure you are a winter. Less expensive than an analysis and you can even do it for free in a makeup store.

Hi Bridget, I love your videos. I am a Dark Winter, or I think, I have bought a red top that is too bright for me. Can I fix it by putting a lipstick of a certain color on my lips? Thanks
A darker lip would definitely help but the top will have the biggest effect on your skin. Pairing it with a darker layer on top like a coat or sweater would help diminish the effects of a too bright color. But if you love it, just wear it!
Im neutral leaning cool. And i'm lost between True Winter and Bright winter because the Bright winter shades are slightly too bright but the undertone is great. True cool has the best saturation and brightness but its a bit too cool. And i know im definitely not a deep winter because they are too dark for me. What am i in this case ?

There are color analysis systems that have a lot more sub categories like ColorBreeze, Caygill and Zyla.
