Watching you make art just makes me happy, Cat. I love your enthusiasm and your generosity, and you're just such a lovely lady. Thank you for everything!!! Much love.
I have watched 98 of your videos and I am enjoying, learning, and having fun. My little craft room is like therapy. Thank you. I finished my circles and i love making them.
+Charlotte phillips Oh wow, you've been on a Cat Hand MARATHON!! I so appreciate you watching them and I'm really happy that you're enjoying them, learning and having fun! Yay, I love the painted circles. :)
I love doing these little morsels - I have a slight tremor in my hands but doesn’t seem to matter much in this art - such freedom and so joyful. Thank you so much for leaving these on your page so that we can all try them. Xoxo
Oh Cat, When I began watching the Mixed Media Morsels Series I really had no intention of doing every one and making a book. Well, let me tell you I can not stop myself. With each video I get more excited. Now I am planning to do it next. Thank you so much.
One of the reasons I like the idea of a MMM book is to remember techniques. I saw your earlier circle video a while back and had completely forgotten about it. I liked it then and I like this technique now. So glad you are doing this series. I love your art and your easy going attitude about creating. TFS!
Thanks so much! I'm so glad YOU are doing the series, too! I so appreciate you watching and playing along and leaving nice comments such as this one. Have a great week! 😊
I just found ur channel and I LOVE everything u do. and I'm learning so much. I've been putting off making an art journal out of fear. but u have made me forget that fear and get started. Thank u so much.
I loved it the first time you did it. I made about 10 pages in cool and warm colours and have been using them on journal pages, index cards, greeting cards and anything else I could think of. I am glad you did it for mmm.
+Isabel DIAS VAZ Well, it's not my original idea (link to where I saw it is in my video's description) but they are fun to do and I enjoy sharing the technique with others so they can enjoy the fun as well! TFW! :)
This technique has a unique look to it. I can see if you used three or four shades of a color you could create flowers. I am going to try this technique. Thanks for inspiring and sharing.
I love imperfect, too, Laurie and it's much more fun to do and WAY less stressful! Thank you - I'm glad you like my page and hope you enjoy doing yours. So, are you still planted or have you been transplanted?
Thanks, Claudene. Well, it's not my original idea, but they sure are fun to make! Yes, someone else mentioned that they looked like eyes, too - and they do! LOL 😊 Hugs!
Loved this technique when you showed it before and love it in a mini version here. Thanks for showing it in different color combos. I'm going to try it on fabric. You are a delight!
OMG--this is so funny! Yesterday (before I watched this) I did a journal page with these painted circles I did months ago and couldn't remember where/who gave me the idea. It was you! I'll try to take a pic of the result later today and put it on the FB page. Thanks for the inspiration from months ago and always! Kat
Hi Cat - love the technique. Thought when you added the white they looked like pop art eyes but when the black was added they really looked like eyes and on the little page - wow! TFS
Thought I'd used them all but the other day I found one of these I made back when. So I used it on a tag I was making. It made the perfect addition. I need to make some more.
Another Great morsel Cat!! Sure to be a lot of fun making this one :D:D O,....and nice touch that you did it on the C dictionary page :) with the word *Circle* right there in between the circles :D:D Thank you again!!! Hugsss xxx
I loved this one when you did it the first time. They do turn out looking sooo cool. I know I have said it before but thank you for always showing that Art should be fun!! tyfs annnnndddd I'm off.......... to MMM #13 lol
When I seen this, I thought of peacock feathers. Wouldn't that be pretty, to paint a peacock and all it's feathers done with these circles, kind of new age peacock, lol. If you did the colors in antiquey colors, then it could be a distressed peacock. Oh so many ideas and such fun to be had.
Its very VanGogh Cat.... love it... I think they would make lovely flowers or even just flower centers... I'm curious ... how long does your Mod Podge brush stay good wrapped like that???Hugs! deb
Thanks, Deb! Yes, I agree and I'd like to do some flowers with mine sometime, when I find some time, LOL! I can leave my brush wrapped up all day, but I don't usually leave it overnight. The one time I did, it was not dry, but the Mod Podge was pretty thick on it. I like to put a binder clip over the plastic wrap where it's wrapped around the handle and then I set something heavy, like the bottle of Mod Podge on the end. Keeps it pretty moist all day long. 😊 Hugs!
What finish of Mod Podge did you use for these morsels? Do you switch it up every time, or do you have a preferable finish that you like to use the most?
I pretty much use only matte, in Mod Podge and in Collage Pauge. I don't really have a preference, I just use whichever one I happen to grab at the time. I find that the MP Matte leaves a shiny finish, and the CP Matte leaves a more satin-y finish. I like them both. 😊
I love your videos, especially the mini morsel series. I have learned so many new techniques. I do have to ask you a question, what is deli paper? I know it's a silly question, but I have looked everywhere and can't find it. Thank you
Thanks so much! I'm not sure where you are in the world, but here in the US, deli paper is that thin, almost tissue-like paper that is used at bakeries, to pick up a doughnut with and it's also used as the basket liner when you get a sandwich at a deli. I get mine at Amazon: www.amazon.com/Interfolded-Paper-Waxed-Senior-Sheets/dp/B00KLEOKOC?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 TFW! 😊
Watching you make art just makes me happy, Cat. I love your enthusiasm and your generosity, and you're just such a lovely lady. Thank you for everything!!! Much love.
Awww, what a lovely comment - thank you, Nancy! So sweet! It makes me happy to make art and share it with you! 😊❤️

The addition of the second black circle makes all the difference - love how this looks!
+Lori H I think so, too, Lori. They are really fun to make! TFW! :)
I love doing these little morsels - I have a slight tremor in my hands but doesn’t seem to matter much in this art - such freedom and so joyful. Thank you so much for leaving these on your page so that we can all try them. Xoxo
