@@tatemodimogale7809 Ratlou is the 1st Born Son and Heir of the Main House even though he was born later than his brothers which are all of Lessor Houses and thus he was but a young child around 8-11 years when King Tau died and therefore because the brothers banded against him (Ratlou) to take power from him (being Tshidi and Seleka each one supported by the other two) and didn't want his Mother as his Regent, the brother to Tau became his Regent and because they wanted to kill the boy. The Regent for Ratlou (His Father's Brother - Nthua) broke away and ran with the child to save his life to the Vaal River via Morokweng and other settlements where the stronger and older brothers didn't follow but remained in Taung until further splits amongst themselves.
