- Palestinian ambassador to the United National, Riyad Mansour, this week made a fiery speech at the UN Security Council as he lashed out at the Israeli foreign minister for announcing the closure of Israeli embassy in Ireland. Ireland was one of the three European countries this summer to recognise the State of Palestine.
Mansour delivered his speech on 18 December at a special session of the UNSC.
Condemning Israeli war crimes is not antisemitic.
Palestinians are semites.
Which is worse? Killing 17000 children or being antisemetic? I will rather be the latter. Tired of this endless talk of antisemetism.

Israel has had their credit rating dropped twice in one yr because of the uncertainty of its economy (something that is relatively rare to happen to a western country or an ally of the west) 3.) Over 40,000 Israelis have left Israel “long term” (obviously don’t know for each case but polls suggest a large number doing so permanently suggesting at the very least they recognize that Israel is the least safe place for Jews) 4.) Poland has stated they will arrest Netanyahu if he visits, which is a big deal given how buddy buddy Netanyahu has been with Duda prior to Oct 7th (and is news worthy because it means Netanyahu can’t attend the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz). I know it’s not much comfort because Israel continues its mass murder campaign and the US and other Western countries continue to gladly support it in public or in more devious ways behind the scenes (ie. the UK allowing planes that contain weapons marked for Israel to use their airports in transit) but just like with Ireland and South Africa, it will be a slow process but it will be stopped.

And allow the Russians in?
@@tomclarke5237at the end of the day the only difference is one's just a bit sweeter than the other, but when push comes to shove their just different sides of the same coin.
That goes against the whole post WWII ethos. The idea was that the US (and the World) didn't want every Country to start developing their own Nuclear Weapons, so the US offered to extend their Nuclear umbrella to other Countries that wanted it so that they wouldn't develop their own nukes.
Removing US bases from around the globe would not be ideal as this would lead to a huge number of Countries developing their own nuclear programmes. The idea in the 80's and 90's was that Countries (mainly US and the Soviet Union) would start to reduce the number of nukes.
If a Country wants to remove any US bases in their Country, then that's down to them.
But most Countries in Eastern Europe and the Western Pacific have bigger threats on their door step (namely Russia and People's Republic of China) who would just jump (and I mean literally jump) at the chance of invading neighbours, especially ones that have strategic positioning, minerals and resources that they want.
That's why Vladolf invaded Ukraine. If you pull US bases out of Europe, then he will go for the Moldova, the Baltic States, even try at Finland or Poland.
Xi would absolutely go to invade the Republic of China (AKA: Taiwan) in heart beat. Then he would move onto Viet Nam, the Philippines, the Ryukyu Islands or even the rest of Japan and perhaps South Korea.
Not a good idea to remove that "US umbrella" unless you already have domestically manufactured and tested nukes in place as a deterrent against your aggressive larger neighbour.

@@zsoltmolnar750 No, the first teist museum is actually based in London, the home of the original teist state.
But to the point here, how could you call a Palestinian Museum a teist museum. Are you going down the English rabbit hole of calling all citizens of a Country "teists"?
Just because they want their stolen lands back, they want freedom back, they want stable supply chains for food, water, medical supplies etc. does not make them all teists.
It is Shitsrael who has caused this, as they did not look at the history of the world. If you repress a people they will revolt. I am not condoning what happened on 07/10/2023, but I cannot say I didn't see it coming.
It was obvious to anyone who has studied history and it will continue to happen until Shitsrael pulls back to the 1966 borders, pay reparations to Palestine and stops murdering their citizens. They have nothing to loose here as they have already lost everything. Just ask the English how it went for them in Ireland, even after 800 years of repression.
I salute ireland for standing on humanity
It's like they truly believe their Lies. Also trying to tell the world not to believe ur eyes.
It's called being "Brain Washed". You cannot blame the people of Israel, that's what they have been fed since the 1960's. But you can hold the Fascist Shitsrael Government accountable and for them to pay reparations.
Imagine a scenario where a terrorist hides in a school in Dublin, and the Irish army responds by bombing the school, killing hundreds of children. The international reaction would undoubtedly be swift and severe. Global outrage would erupt, with the Irish government facing widespread condemnation for its disproportionate use of force. Media coverage would focus intensely on the tragic loss of innocent lives, amplifying calls for accountability. International bodies like the United Nations and the International Criminal Court (ICC) would demand justice, labelling the bombing a war crime. Claims by the Irish government that criticism of its actions was rooted in "anti-Irish" bias would be dismissed as a deflection, with critics focusing on the humanitarian and moral failure of such an act.
In this hypothetical scenario, it is highly unlikely that nations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, or France would continue to supply Ireland with weapons. Supporting a government responsible for such atrocities would damage their reputations and provoke significant domestic and international backlash. Public opinion and political calculus would make further support for Ireland’s actions untenable.
Now, consider the parallels to Gaza. In reality, Israel’s military operations in densely populated areas often result in mass civilian casualties, including the deaths of children. These actions are justified as targeting terrorists, yet the international response contrasts sharply. Despite the loss of innocent lives, countries like the US, UK, and France continue to provide military aid and weaponry to Israel, citing its right to self-defence and their strategic alliances. Criticism of these actions is frequently met with accusations of anti-Semitism, which serve as a deflection tactic to silence legitimate discourse about human rights violations.
The double standards in accountability are stark. Israel is shielded from repercussions due to historical, geopolitical, and strategic considerations, while similar actions by other nations would provoke widespread condemnation. This disparity dehumanises victims in Gaza, normalising violence and diminishing the value of Palestinian lives.
This thought experiment highlights the glaring inconsistencies in how the international community reacts to similar tragedies. It underscores the need for universal accountability, equitable human rights protections, and the rejection of identity-based deflection tactics that undermine meaningful dialogue. By imagining such an atrocity in Dublin, the inequities in global responses become glaringly apparent, calling for a reassessment of what true justice and human rights advocacy should entail.
A powerful analogy, and excellently expressed.
Rubbish. Bot.

Is it if only there weren't settlements, but the problem I stumble across is that there were no settlements prior to 1967, so then why wasn't there peace. Especially since, from 1948 to 1967, a 19-year period, Gaza was held by the Egyptians and Judea and Samaria which became to be known as the West Bank was held by the Jordanians, so I ask myself again, why didn't the Arabs who within this same time frame that identified themselves as Palestinians, didn’t establish an independent state within that newly found identification as a people. I therefore continue to struggle to understand why the Palestinians refused all independent state proposals, in 1937, 1947, 1993 and 2008, but today it seems I am told the Palestinians don't have a state as they have been denied a state. Could the Hamas Covenant potentially be a hinderance to this, Hamas Covenant, says Israel will exist, it will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it, the Islamic resistance movement is a distinguished Palestinian movement whose allegiance is to Allah and whose way of life is Islam, it strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine.
The West and Israelis did not want that to happen. The land was always going to be given to the Jews.
@@LeMerch Why not give them Austria? After all the Brits did this as they felt sorry for the Jews after Mr. H's actions against them in Europe. So why not his home Country, why someone else's?
Who gave the Brits the right to deter the faith of the Palestinians and their land?
Nobody, that's who, absolutely nobody. But that's what the Brits did all over the planet.
So since the Brits had no right to do this, it's actually Shitsrael who doesn't exist.
@LeMerch there is a misconception that the West and Israel were and have been tight allies. Even during the mandatory period, the British and the Jews were at odds. Even through the last 76 years, there's only been a relationship of tolerance, not this suggested tight joint coordination, just like Israel not even being part of nato and all its globe trotting adventures
