    And yes! We do want a video on culturing pods! My culture is skyrocketing but it is slowing down for some reason, and I don’t have as much as you do!! That’s a lot!! Peanut is so lucky!

      My pods culture is consuming the phyto like crazy! Every 2-3 days the water becomes clear. Luckily I have a lot of phyto culture setup and ready to go :D I will definitely make a video about my low cost setup

    Yes!! Please, I have a scooter blenny and have been trying to culture copepods but haven't had any success. I would love to see your set up. Phytoplankton seems much more difficult and I can get it at many places so it is not worth it for me to try but if it is simple, I wouldn't mind trying it.

      Yeah. They can come in from places you never expect like rocks, corals etc. :)

    My experience with montipora is similar to your scenario. I fragged the healthy parts as it was dying, and they all encrusted onto my live rock, grew out into plates hanging off and everything. I truly think it has something to do with the base it is on.

      Someone spotted an sps nudibranch in my red montipora. I think he's right and I think I will have to do a dip tonight! Worst case scenario is I will try to frag it and stick it to my rock hahaha

      @@BlueReefTank I also bought a red monti cap frag, there was a worm thing burrowed inside of it, after months of no growth I violently removed whatever it was and it has grown from an inch to like 5. I also grew out a frag sized piece from a flake so definitely try to regrow a healthy piece and dip the rest

      @@michaellash4050 Thanks Michael for the suggestions - I just dipped the monti and it was covered with sps eating monti. I will observe it for now and if it's not getting any better, I will have to frag it 🙁

    The tiny white dots are also copepods. There are many different species of copepods like tigriopus californicus (tigger pods) and tisbe biminiensis (tisbe pods). I’m not 100% sure but I think the white dots should be Tisbe pods since they are the smallest species of copepods.

    Please make a video on how to culture them! I’m curious about how long it takes for the pods to breed as well as when to pursue the first harvest. Then after the first harvest, are they able to be harvested more often?

      I will release the video soon :) In the meantime, it's best to get the phyto culture setup and ready because the copepods consume A LOT of phyto! I have to add 1L of phyto to my copepods culture every 2-3 days

    Did you make that 50 micrometer sieve or did you buy it from somewhere? I’m trying to grow rotifers for my baby clown fish and a regular sieve is pretty expensive and I’m trying to save money

    Thanks for the video. Do you have a suggestion on what can I do to remove the sedimental debris if I am to culture them in a really large vessel? I dont really want to use suction as I'd presume the debris will also contain copepod eggs, plus it's too laborous for me.

      If you're planning to seed the display tank, I would float the bottle in the display tank first for 15mins so the tempature is equal. I would then pour it in at night so the pods have a chance to hide and not get eaten by the fish

    For the red monti just leave it, it will grow over the dead parts or they might even come back to life. Looks great otherwise 👌

      @@BlueReefTank dealing with nudibranch isn’t so easy at all pls make a deep research about them because you will need a fast efficient way to get rid of them. Good luck buddy
