Both figures look so good! For some reason, characters from games always have such beautiful designs and color schemes :>
On a side note, hopefully we get a Zhongli scale in the future, so he can join Ootengu on a shelf (they share the same VA).
Otakemaru's price dropped to 12930 yen on Amiami before he finally sold out. I believe there were a lot of cancelled preorders due to a few issues that collectors had with the figure. The head being perhaps too small and the skin color being lighter than expected. Also I think the shipping cost became a big factor on the NetEase Onmyoji figures. The heavy boxes while nice, increased the weight, especially when the plastic figure box came in the heavy outer box which was then inside a cardboard box, which Amiami then put inside a cardboard shipping box. A box in a box in a box in a box! For the most part I try to have my figures shipped DHL, but the cost for shipping Ootengu Royal Gold was going to be over 12000 yen so I went with surface by ship. The idea of paying that much for shipping was too much for me to deal with, lol.
I’m waiting for my Bellfine Rengoku to arrive surface by ship and it was still ¥10,000 😭 DHL wanted ¥35,000 which was almost twice as much as the figure (¥19,800)!!

I pre-ordered both of these figures on amiami back then, sure they were delayed constantly and there even was a recall batch of the first china one, as it wasn‘t up to quality, but it was so worth it in the end, they are amazing!
Otakemaru looks so good. I sorta regret not picking him up when he went on sale recently.

Actually, pretty much all Onmyoji figurines do have MFC pages now. Just went in there to add all the guys from that series to my wish list in there, lmao

I have Ootengu and Orochi, I regret cancelling my Otakemaru preorder tbh but at the time I genuinely had no more space XD those boys are huge. Maybe I'll pick him up once I've finished collecting the big touken ranbu figures :>

I have the absolute best figure (onmyoji wise at least) aka Orochi by NetEase. They always delivered
I have Senhime and Suzuka Gozen from Onmyoji, but they are resin statues made by AniMester... they are gorgeous and huge and heavy so I have exactly 0 space for their Shiranui, which is more than 23 inch. high. Because of that I'm planning to get both PVC Shiranuis from Wings Inc and NetEase/ Hobby Max. I'll decide after which one to keep and which one to relocate to a loving home 😊

Onmyōji is licensed from china as it’s a Chinese game so it makes sense,it’s probably all made in china

Otakemaru was my hardest figure assembly too, he's so lightweight and his plastic feels so thin I was terrified I was going to break him, but I eventually got him on. One of the biggest problems is just that the masks dont come off the base, would have made things a lot easier. Shipping was also stupid expensive and I won't be ordering any more like this from the company but the figure and box is gorgeous. ❤ Shipping is also probably why he didn't sell well on AmiAmi, I remember it was like 8k Surface, 13k EMS and 14k DHL (in jpy/yen) to the US when I had to pay 😅

I love onmyouji's designs, they are so pretty. I tried the mobile game but found i couldn't play ti along side azur lane, but even so the designs are so pretty and detailed. It's really cool you got a bunch of freebies too!
Very early to this video, but I ordered Otakemaru from AmiAmi, and his box to surface premium to the USA was 9k in itself. So all in, he was about 27K. So don't lament too bad about the price you paid. Though mine did come with a 3rd outer box not counting the amiami box. Had the same issue of him not wanting to really fit on his base too.
Also one last quick comment be careful with the oni mask horns on Otakemaru that can chip super easily.

I played Onmyoji for like MAYBE two weeks before deciding the game wasn't my thing.
BUT BY GOD I swear it has the most gorgeous figures! I have the 1/7 Tenken Jinshin Onikiri Magic City Dream Ver., and there are at least 3 current figures from this game I would kill and die to get my hands on (mainly that 1/4 Suzuka Gozen, definitely the figure of all time IMO). Checking MFC, I see there's 2 upcoming ones that don't have prototypes yet... I'm going to have to keep my eye on them because I may just jump on those preorders.
