Thank you so much. My Tefillin were delivered yesterday, and using your video instruction, I put them on this morning for my morning prayers. Amazing. They are such a powerful amplifier to the meditative state of my prayers. I am eternally grateful.
I have my great grandfather’s Tefillin, they were a Bar Mitzvah gift from my grandmother in 1967! I am thinking of using them again, they are very old! My Rabbi had them checked & certified Kosher a few years ago. I also found my old Shilo Siddur (1980) after Rosh Hashanah & began using it for my morning prayers, which has required me to re-learn my Hebrew as there is no English in it. I’m retired now & have the time to re-learn. Thanks for your instructions Rabbi!
@@ravencroftgraphics3d I was gifted a spare pair of Tiffilin from my father’s Rabbi, so I have put my great Zada’s away for now. The Shel Rosh is fine but the Shel Yad is chipping badly, mostly from my usage. Thank you. I did not know that the inside cover stays on the arm box. And it would be nice if you showed how to wrap the straps after using.... how to put away with the tefillin
It’s been six years since the last time I wore tfillin…used to visit a kolel in my neighbourhood every day…brings memories. Feeling shame that I don’t do it anymore. Want to do it again, but shaharit is very early, plus job and etc. anyway, Baruch A’Shem

Very clear explanation for committing the mitzva of wrapping tfilin around the arm. Something is missing for me in this explanation, however. Don't you have to recite the "Veerastich Li" prayer when wrapping the arm tfilin around the middle finger? Is there a time when yiou recite it and when you don't? Thanks in advance and Yisher Koach.
I just started keeping this beautiful mitzvah. I am Italian but Hakadosh Baruch Hu made me find a beautiful set of gassot tefillin which knot is tied the way Hassidim do, so I started wrapping it the way you do in the video! I love it so far even though I like the way Sephardim make a Dalet on their hand. Would that be OK to wrap the hand that way while keeping the arm like Chabad does?
On the shel yaad, the little box has kind of a cut out corner (just one). I think I fiddled with it may have replaced in the wrong position. Right now the more open corner is closest to my heart when I daven, which seems right to me, but I'm not too sure.
i have always had the rabbi put on tefillin for me. shame on me right. now i finally have my own set and i cant put it on because i am to intimidated. i am not a smart or clever person. even this video seems overwhelming to me. what should i do. i want to be able to do this by myself
It should be noted that this is the Habadh (Chabad) way. Jews from Europe, Middle East and from Yemen all bind tefillin a different way. I like the Ashkenazi way where Hoshe'a 2.21-22 is said when binding the fefillin around the vinger.
May God bless your prayers and reverence. I love the Jewish religion and I hope that goodness and safety will prevail in the State of Israel. I am from Tripoli, Libya. I love you
It symbolizes a wedding ring, saying we are "married" to Hashem. The middle finger is used because the vein of the middle finger is supposed to go directly to the heart.
Shalom I'm from Fiji but I'm originally from the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. I have been searching for solutions to our problem and i had look to the Torah and in the book of Deuteronomy 28: 1 - 66 answers my search in line with the blessings and curses written in Deuteronomy. My conscious convinced me that what we are facing as a people had already been written this Chapter in the Torah. I began to realize that our forefathers could have forsaken the Torah and the G of the Torah. That is why our forefathers were taken into slavery from the Solomon Islands to Fiji, Australia and other Pacific Islands. As mentioned in the Torah, we have lost everything. Our identity, our religion I mean everything as in the Torah due to our forefathers disobedience to G voices and follow what he has commanded. I am trying to connect back in trying to study Jews religion, the Torah, prayers, holidays etc. I have also been trying to learn and follow the Torah prayers and holidays. That's correct. The cut out corne of the arm box coverr is on the right side next to the knot on the leather strap so the knot can touch the box.
I thought that the teffilin goes under and back toward you when putting them on the arm? Have I been doing g it incorrectly? Or does it matter?

Should you have your Tallis on when you put the tfilin?
yes
The tefillin on the arm is between the 3 and the 7 .. is this not relating to Da’at? (Hidden sephiroth) 🤔
Do you know if it is possible to make your own to Tefillin?
Bro I don’t think you can you’ll have to buy it
It's really hard work with skins and leathers
Good luck with that

What if you're perfectly ambidextrous and use both hand interchangeably?
Can women wrap tefillin? I know traditionally only men wrap, but is it written somewhere that women cannot?

אודה מאוד אם תוסיפו כתוביות תרגום בעברית!
Different customs. I have the shin on the hand not the bicep. I'm ashkenazi. I think the video is showing sephardic customs.
I have a shin on both. It’s an ashkenazi way of doing it there’s just different traditions. If you have your tradition do it that way
When God talked about this he didn’t mean it literally but spiritually.
Does women do this also ?
No.
