Honestly it doesn’t matter what the song is about, the lyrics are a gift for each person that hears it to apply their own meaning . Great reaction BigMike, congratulations on adding yourself to the list of lump in throat speechless people. 🤘⚡️🤘
you can get auto translated captions by going to the gear icon and under the close caption option there is an auto translate option. but you knew what she said, she also mentioned that she was very sick. and then she does what I consider a perfect performance. Pau behind a piano just rips your heart out.
Pau has said that this song is a panic attack set to music. I can understand how a panic attack would feel like you are drowning. Also, someone said that Ale was waiting for her when she walked off stage for a huge hug.
Beautiful reaction Big Mike, kind of wish who ever requested this had mentioned that English subtitles were available for this song. Anyway, this beautiful young lady singing her heart out for all her fans is heartbreaking, tears every single time. Here is the translation of all that she said: Well, this next song, I said I was never going to play it live because it's a very personal song, but seeing you all gathered here, it's incredible to think that there are 8000 people here right now who came to see us, and honestly I'm so sick, my voice it's not great today, but I want to sing this song for you. **Fans start singing with her** No, I need to sing it (alone)... **She bursts into tears** Than you very much, I love you so much.
Yup, 100% Pau’s song. She wrote it for herself (timeframe & reason unknown) Therapy thru music. It was never intended to be a The Warning song or public. The label/producer wanted another song for ERROR last minute so Pau offered them this under the condition she would never perform it live (they played the album version for intermission at Metropolitan Theater). She recorded it at home & produced it herself (you can see the home piano she used in the ‘Creep’ video) This is the one & likely only (for a long time anyway) time she performed it.
Pau comes off as such a bad-ass in all the other videos. It's quite a shock to see her so vulnerable. (I thought she was a goddess. Now I suspect she may have some human ancestry.).
Oh? Really? Her? 13? I really don’t know about them but is it really about her? Sorry, just really confused on that statement. Thank you for the support
@@BigMikeReactions She wrote it at 13 after reading an article from a magazine or newspaper about someone addicted to alcohol. She was never addicted, she just reads a lot and has great empathy as well as massive musical talent.
@@BigMikeReactions It's not about her. It is based on a newspaper article. Don't think Pau has ever been addicted to anything other than beating the hell out of her drums. But she did write it at 13. Well worth your while to check. the song came just before Breathe in the concert.
Very emotional song! To put this in context, she had just sang another tear jerker that she wrote called BLACK HOLES with a string section and it is a masterpiece for the ages in my opinion. Check it out.
I sincerely hope that for the rest of my life this concert will remain the best I've ever missed. Had tickets but due to a string of bad luck we never made it from the Netherlands to Mexico. My heart broke finding out the day after that Pau sang 'Breathe' however I do hope it remains a once in a lifetime performance because this just can't be replicated.
@@BigMikeReactions Thanks! Saw three shows in Europe this year and going for my second attempt to see them in CDMX next February. Best remedy to missing a TW concert is attending more.
All we know is that she wrote this when she was going through a very difficult time in her life. There are various made-up stories about this, but this is all we know from what she has said. There was so much love in that room that night!
For When I'm Alone from the same show, when you need English subtitles: 1- In the RUclips video window, click on the CC button 2- Click on the Settings icon that looks like a gear (at the bottom right), then on Subtitles/CC 3- In the new window, select Auto-Translate, scroll through the list and select English
The Warning's record label LAVA was finishing up on their album 'ERROR' and want one more song. They ask Pau if they can add her song; reluctantly she agreed with the stipulation than she would never be FORCED to sing it live; so 'Breathe' was added as a bonus track to the album. At the Teatro Metro concert (2022) the song was played as a recording during a break (the scene was surreal, a darken venue with dimmed stage lights illuminating the stage, light reflecting off the steel of the drum stands...then the illumination of cellphone lit up like stars). The next year they played at the Pepsi Center CDMX (2023) to 8000 fans! It is my belief that Pau was so appreciative that she wanted to sing this song! Why this song is so personal who knows? Some say it due to the lost of a friend and others have stated its about a panic attack. I've searched Google but nothing only: The song "Breathe" by The Warning is about the difficulty of breathing when emotions are overwhelming - which is as good as an explanation as any.
If/when you do "Black Holes", I suggest taking it directly from the Pepsi Center full concert video as it has embedded English subtitles/translations. The video is chaptered, so it's easy to find the start. However, I suggest beginning at time stamp 32:20, several seconds before Pau starts playing as Dany makes a few introductory remarks. It should be noted, Pau went straight into "Breathe" after "Black Holes", and in the full concert video you get all her comments fully and correctly translated.
all heart and soul, surprisingly not much talent though. it is what it is. fiona apple blows most female artists out of the water in my opinion. fleetwood mac? its just not what it once was imo and i wanted to like it
I have seen this performance many times now... more than 20, and I still cry every time.

Such a heartfelt song!💎🌺💐🌷

You guys are the best!! Still on a learning curve but everyone makes it easier on me. Thank you for the comment & support
And YES!!! She is so amazing on that 🎹!!! Just a true gem 💎
Pau + piano = 😭

Such a powerful performance. ⚡🤘
Pau has said that this song is a panic attack set to music. I can understand how a panic attack would feel like you are drowning. Also, someone said that Ale was waiting for her when she walked off stage for a huge hug.

This one chokes me up every time.
Pau brings the emotion.
Yeah!!! For sure!👍

They found out they needed the two additional tracks for (undisclosed) "logistical reasons", not at the direction of the label.
@@iNsTaNtpUdDiNhEaD very true. Label/producer is my interpretation of undisclosed logistical reasons, not fact.
You're a good man, Big Mike.
☺️Thank you 🙏
Great reaction. Excellent heart felt performance. Keep Rockin' my friend 🤘⚡🤘

I like that !!!!👍😂 Thank you 🙏
Absolutely wonderful live performance!!
Paulina is a treasure for all humanity!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
I ❤️ it!!! She is so special in the way she can put this to music! Wow!! All I can say… wow Pau!!!
You should listen to Black Holes from this same concert. It's about addiction. Written when she was 13 years old.
Oh? Really? Her?
@@BigMikeReactions No, "Black Holes" is not personal to her like "BREATHE" is. She wrote "Escape the Mind" and "Fade Away" at 12.

Absolutely will!!
@@BigMikeReactions Might be useful to know that *BLACK HOLES* is about addictions so some feel it more than others.
