Allah is Different: Allah, who is God in Islam, is not like anything else we know. He created everything we see around us-the sun, the moon, the stars, and everything on Earth-but He is not like any of these things. Allah is unique and unlike any person or thing we can see or touch.
Beyond Our Senses: We use our senses like seeing, hearing, and touching to understand the world. But Allah is beyond all that. He is not a physical being, which means we can't see Him with our eyes. This is similar to how we can feel the wind on our face but can't see the wind itself.
Everywhere, but Invisible: Even though we can't see Allah, He is always with us. He knows everything and is everywhere, watching over us and taking care of us. Just like you know you have thoughts in your mind but you can't see them, Allah is there even if we can't see Him with our eyes.
Seeing with the Heart: Even though we can't see Allah with our eyes, we can "see" Him with our heart by feeling His presence in the world around us and in the good things that happen. When we see beautiful things or when someone helps us, it’s a way of understanding that Allah is there and cares about us.
Faith: Believing in things we can’t see is part of having faith. Faith is when we feel sure about things we can’t see or completely understand just with our eyes or hands. Having faith in Allah means we believe in Him and His goodness even though we can’t see Him.
By using simple terms and relatable analogies, this explanation helps children grasp the concept of an unseen, omnipresent God, which is a central belief in many religions, including Islam.
Certainly! Here are five simple and relatable examples to help kids understand concepts about faith and the unseen nature of things, like believing in Allah even though we can't see Him:
Love: Ask kids if they can see love. They can't see it, but they know it's there because they feel it when their parents hug them or when their friends share toys with them. Love is something we feel and know exists, even though it isn’t something we can see with our eyes.
Gravity: We can't see gravity, but we know it's there because it keeps us from floating off into the sky. When we drop a ball, it falls to the ground because gravity pulls it down, even though we can't see gravity itself.
Wi-Fi: Kids use tablets or watch TV shows streaming over Wi-Fi. They can't see Wi-Fi, but they know it's there because it lets them watch their favorite shows or play games online. Just because we can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there doing its job.
Wind: We can't see the wind, but we can see the leaves fluttering on trees and feel the wind on our faces. We know the wind is there because we see what it does even though we can't see the wind itself.
Emotions: We can't see emotions like happiness or sadness, but we can see the effects. We see someone smiling and laughing when they're happy, or perhaps crying when they're sad. The emotions are real even if they are invisible.
