I think people have lost the true essence of getting to know each other and I think that may stem from social media standards. People are not genuine anymore and would rather use you. There are so many people that have money but how lucky can you be to meet a person that is genuinly interested in you and wants to know you for you before anything else ?
The venue for me is extremely important for a first date because I once went out with a guy (the venue was his idea) and almost everyone that walked in greeted him. I ended up leaving because people asked to join our table and he let them because “he didn’t want to be rude”. He started buying alcohol for everyone, I don’t drink so it was a bit annoying having to scream over everyone just to have a decent conversation with him. I excused myself to go to the bathroom and went home. I’m a simple girl so a picnic date (one by the beach in the afternoon is my fav), crazy golf, attending a cooking class together, volunteering or going to an Art Gallery would make me happy. I’m a bit old fashioned when it comes to such so I’m not into flashy things which is sad because I attract men who like showing off💔

You are paying for the "incase" you need a massive operation that is going to cost a lot more than what your actual contributions are. example car accident with your kids, everyone survives but need to be hospitalized. Its a grudge payment but good for the peace of mind. Mostly. Somewhat. It sucks.
