China's logic behind all the claims is very straight forward
If region 'A' was under a Chinese ruler in 700BC and then again area 'B' was in region A during 300 AD, then A including B should be part of China.
They invaded Tibet in 1950 with same logic, now they claim Arunachal is their part as it was part Tibet which they own it now.
One day they will claim whole world as most of the larger international cities have China town inside.
      Again those are their territory
And the countries where those cities are located those countries are also part of China. And if that country had a colony to any other area on earth ever in human civilization it will be part of China.
So basically whole world is part of China
      Simple calculation. 😇

the boundary claimed by China is the legal boundary between China and British India colony. In history British invaded China several times, they forced China signed contract to give up the ownership of land to the India colony, As long as China signed the contract China accept it(in 19 century China twice gave up land,s to India colony). But in 20th century British just military occupied some new land which China never sign contract to give them up, India should not regard them as a part of India. Besides some these land British even did not occupied just claimed ownership one side. India already occupied a lot of China,s land which in law aspect still belong to China, while they want to occupied all the land that British claimed ownership.

Just to add a piece of history. China claim Arunachal Pradesh in the east that is currently fully under India's control. Before 1962, China wanted to give up the claim of Arunachal Pradesh in the east in exchange for Aksai Chin in the west. India refused to negotiate and wanted to take both areas, which eventually led to the 1962 war. As of today, India claims Aksai Chin even though it is firmly under China's control. China claims Arunachal Pradesh even though it is firmly under India's control. I hope Indian government should understand that, whatever territory claim changes need to come from negotiation, not from sneaky attacks. Just because the area controlled by China is a threat to the new road, that is not a valid justification to force China to give up their territory. India is also building a road branch that extends into the Galwan valley which is under China's control. This is the core cause of the conflict. Negotiation is the truly peaceful way, sneaky attack is not. Just imagine, what if Chinese army ignores India's objection and moves into Arunachal Pradesh. Anyone will think that won't lead to another war?

Talking about the “illegal occupation” of Aksai Chin or even Ladakh, India want to "Inherit" everything previously claimed by British empire. British invaded a lot of southern Asian countries and changed the borders illegally either by force or secretly draw illegal lines on map. This is the cause of the border dispute between India with its neighbor countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Burma, and China if India insists to “Inherit” everything from British empire. Then the border disputes can’t be solved peacefully.

There are many holes in your statement. India's border dispute with Pakistan is due to Kashmir & it has no border dispute with other countries you have mentioned. You are cooking up a story to paint a wrong picture. Only China disputes British handed-down territories with India. Not only China invaded Tibet, now it also claims all border areas between Tibet & India. Not only India, no country in the world would accept this kind of situation. Just because of this attitude, China has earned the wrath of all of its nearly 30 countries barring its underdogs Pakistan & N.Korea. If your statement is true, even Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Srilanka etc should have been part of India. Do not make sweeping statements just like that.

    1. Indian govt. don't want CPEC successful.
    2. Illegally changing demography of Muslim majority Kashmir by Modi may be a part of greater agenda with false label of prosperity.
    3. Self proclaimed "pok" by Indian media and politicians may serve the starting point of the military conflict between India and Pak which would end up in cascade of catastrophic events between Pak and India eventually resulting in Ghazwa e Hind (the full blown decisive battle between world muslims and hind).

The Himalayan Range is quite big, may be some 10,000 kilometres or more. Do not quarrel, but, China should free Tibet and leave Akshai Chin immediately. Did India conquer any Chinese land? No. So, if China wants a good relation with India it must let go Akshai Chin to India. Or else, India shall conquer Chinese territories in the near future. Just wait and watch. History repeats itself.

      @@nirmal6362 NEW DELHI
Days after a deadly border clash with China, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said late Friday that Chinese troops did not enter the Asian nation’s territory "nor is any of our post captured."
During a virtual meeting with political parties, Modi assured opposition leaders that Indian borders are secure and the military is capable of mounting a defense.
“Neither anyone has intruded into our territory nor taken over any post," Modi said, adding that Indian "forces are doing what they have to do to protect the country, whether it is deployment, action or counter-action."
"Our patrolling capacity has increased due to newly built infrastructure, especially along the LAC," Modi said, referring to the Line of Control, a defacto border between India and China.
His statement came after a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said its Chinese military did not cross the border during a skirmish Monday that killed at least 20 Indian soldiers along the border in the Ladakh area of the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region.
Modi said: "Our brave soldiers made the supreme sacrifice for the nation in Ladakh but also taught a lesson to those who had dared to look towards our motherland."
“The entire country is hurt and angry at the steps taken by China at the LAC,” he said, and ensured leaders of different political parties that the armed forces are leaving no stone unturned to protect the country.
“Be it deployment, action or counter action, through land, sea or air, our forces are taking the necessary steps to protect the country,” he added.
Modi said India wants peace and friendship, but upholding sovereignty is foremost.
He highlighted the government has given primacy to the development of the border area infrastructure to make the borders more secure.
“Provision has also been made for fighter planes, modern helicopters, missile defense systems and other such needs of our forces. Through the recently developed infrastructure, patrolling capacity at the LAC has also increased,” he said.
He reassured leaders about the capability of the armed forces to defend the borders and they have been given a free hand to take necessary steps.
Main opposition Indian National Congress party leader Sonia Gandhi said leaders are still in the dark about details and questioned the government about intelligence reports and related matters.
      - China accuses Indian troops entered its territory
Earlier Friday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the Galwan valley in the Ladakh area is “located on the Chinese side" of the defacto border, and accused Indian troops of crossing the line Monday night and "trespassed into China's territory."
“Indian border troops have unilaterally and continuously built roads, bridges and other facilities at the LAC in Galwan valley.”
However, he said civil and military officials of the two sides maintained communication including a commander-level meeting June 6 to “ease the situation.”
“In response to strong demand of Chinese side, India agreed to withdraw personnel who crossed LAC and demolish the facilities, and so they did,” Zhao claimed.
“The Indian side promised that they would not cross the estuary of the Galwan river to patrol and build facilities and the two sides would discuss and decide phased withdrawal of troops through the meetings between commanders on the ground,” he said.
Border tensions between the two countries have existed for more than seven decades.
China claims territory in India's northeast, while New Delhi accuses Beijing of occupying its territory in the Aksai Chin plateau in the Himalayas, including part of the Ladakh region.

The McMahon Line was an illegal crossing between the Chinese and Indian borders unilaterally by the British colonialists and the Indian government, which was strongly opposed by the Kuomintang government, the Tibetan local government and the Chinese Communist Government. The peaceful liberation of Tibet in 1951, however, was disturbed and obstructed by the Indian government, which further encroached on China's land. In 1951, India took advantage of China's war of resisting the United States and aiding the Korean Peninsula, and sent Indian troops to advance on a large scale to the "Wheat Line". On 22 March 1959, Prime Minister Nehru of India formally submitted a territorial claim to our country, covering an area of 125,000 square kilometres (including 90,000 square kilometres south of the McMahon Line). In order to maintain china-India friendship, the Chinese government has always exercised restraint and tolerance in response to India's armed aggression and unreasonable demands and made unremitting efforts for the peaceful settlement of the border issue between the two countries. India, however, sees China's forbearance as weakness and has intensified its border incursions. On October 17 and 18, 1962, the invading Indian troops launched a heavy artillery attack on the Chinese border guards simultaneously in the east and west sections. The PLA had to rise up and fight back.

Well as an Indian, I'm inclined towards my country. But will there any international law where it can be appealed to resolve such disputes or it can only be solved only by leaders of the two nations.
But hope India maintains to have a very effective foreign policy considering they have border conflicts with one strong neighbor and other weak vulnerable neighbors who can be used for advantage

Noveen× there are bodies in the world where such disputes can be resolved by discussion. Since China is strong so you do not want to fight and solve it on table but with Pakistan to resolve issue of Kashmir State your country is avoiding all forums which can resolve this issue. Double standards!

If the same clash occurred with Pakistan army I would still say the same but the case with kashmir is different when our country is targeting by terror groups killing innocent civilians in the name of religious intolerance, do you think i would like my country to negotiate or liaise with the terrorists. Well I'm totally up for war and in fact want it army to go full blitzkrieg and it doesn't matter even if those terrorists are from China or any other country for that matter.

@@naveent2785 these terror activities are mostly orchestrated by the establishment or the deep state to shift the focus of real problems towards such things. During the last 75 years there were many peaceful periods when Kashmir State issue would have been resolved. We Pakistanis are peacefully demanding State of Kashmir. But if war is declared between India and Pakistan then we will claim whole of India.
It has been predicted 1400 years ago and is widely known to All Muslims of the world that there will be a defining war with "Hind". Even your learned vedic scholars also know what will be the outcome of the predicted war.
We are the same people on both sides of the line, I don't understand as to why we can't solve our regional problems like Europe have done and bring prosperity and peace in this whole region.
