Let me know what band you want to see a guitar riff evolution of! Check out the playlist for all of them here: ruclips.net/p/PL0jQEzIahEGZkyf_wsJ5KIasGmjdKwj0L
riff evo of string gauges pls
Okay, so like, if you can do Sylosis tuned down, that'd be crispy gold, even more so than Raising Cane's chicken, so super crispy gold and delicious. Go to your local Raising Cane's to pick up only the world's tastiest chicken sandwich and sauce, fries included. (My favorite ABR riff is Broken Promises).
Machine Head could be a good band to do.
Can you please do a riff evolution of Carnifex.
Good breakdown bands could be miss may I or atreyu
August Burns Red in 2005: Amazing
August Burns Red in 2020: Still amazing
Fuckin right - they still have that energy
best comment for sure, i remember seeing ABR at Warped Tour in 2008 :D
Wtf you are here also?Damn son
I sEe YoU eVeRyWhErE
Still amazing
It's amazing how consistently good ABR has been throughout their whole career
Damn rights!
Constellations is imo their best album what do you guys think?
I full heartedly agree
I think this new album id the best now
@@Ferrocious-ou3qd Constellations will always be number one to me. After its Guardians then Phantom Anthem as my top three.
Composure is still one of favorite riffs
Mine too!
Composure is what got me into ABR, Oh how I wish they would release the original music video in HD, or that they had remade it when Messengers Remixed was released.
The whole song Ghosts is a riff library, and has a sweet feature from Jeremy McKinnon
Yeah that song is great as well
I have zero idea why Leveler as a whole is not more popular.
Some of the tasty riffs I have ever heard were on that record.
The Empire one actually caused me to hit puberty
Internal Cannon SLAPS
Is anyone going to talk about how gorgeous pangea is?
GOLIIIIIIAAAAATH!!!!
They changed their style up. The songs were more complex, the production/mixing was MUCH different, and there weren't many typical breakdowns. It was their most different album, so people didn't really enjoy it at the time. It has aged very well.
Nothing will beat Messagers. Those riffs are iconic
I still can't believe how long they've been around and still making sexy riffs.
Metalcore riff difficulty level: ABR 😩😩😩
Try out protest the hero 👀
You can definitely tell that they've become better musicians, and that they're constantly pushing themselves to be better. Especially Matt Greiner, their drummer. He was always super into intricate-but-heavy, but man... He had an Insta video showing off one of the bits from Invisible Enemy. And good lord was that bell work amazing to hear isolated like that.
Awesome video! I think an Erra riff evolution would be sick.
Grew up with this band. Riffs were hard to learn. Will learn one day. One of my fav bands till this day
JB's and Brent's riffs are super hard, yeah, and I can't even play most of them, but wait until you see Dustin's riffs. You. Will. Cry.
I don’t think ABR is capable of making bad riffs. Every single song is a banger.
They’re all just too damn talented
Composure will always be my favorite song by them
I always come back to this video. ABR will forever be my favorite metalcore band. Need an updated version
Damn Thrill Seeker feels like yesterday... I love this video my dude! So many good songs it might have been hard to choose! ❤️
YES ! Favourite band! and quality video Andrew!
Sounds great! Great riff selection for this
Love that you show rythm and lead both. Some sick stuff here bro!
I’d hire these guys to caroling with me after hearing carol of the bells
I think they actually did a couple more christmas songs lol
@@iwatchtoomuchyt9281 Theres an entire album of them plus multiple they released as singles year to year
They have an entire Christmas album actually and other a Christmas songs not on that album
They have 2 entire Christmas albums lol
Great video!!! Keep it up!
Ive been really enjoying your evolution videos. These are pretty much the ABR songs I woudve chosen too! nice!
glad you popped provision in there, awesome vid man \m/
awesome video man! abr riffs will never get old!!
such a talented group of musicians being able to watch them grow over the last decade and a half has been amazing. they guest listed me on their last tour and let me just say... it was an experience.. as it always is
This is my favorite video of yours overall since I've discovered you. Really love the After the burial stuff also. Great channel and keep on keepin on!!
My favorite is probably Mariana Trench, invisible Enemy and Identity
They have so many banger riffs I can't just pick a favorite, but I do love the intro riff to Poor Millionaire. Gets me so hype every time!
How has White washed been out for 13 years, is one of their most famous songs, and no one get's that intro riff right??
@Michael Willis Hush. When I do math, I make up my own rules. TIME is but an abstract construct instituted by mere mortals because they require a king of nature if not of man.
I do. Just keep changing between the dissonant riff and the hammer-on one.
no excuse now haha : ruclips.net/video/iJDLDZ4Y008/видео.html
@@Flodrums26130 Wow. That guy plays Whitewashed so much more accurately than Andrew and he is also standing.
@@nikr3134 Well he better play it better because that guy is ABR's actual guitarist, JB. hahaha.
Man, Provision still hits so hard. One of the few songs I can always head bang to. And I'm not even that much of an ABR fans.
Listen to their new album it’s a classic
ABR has not put out a single bad song. I even like all of their Christmas song covers, especially Carol of the Bells.
Damn i just came across this after discovering you about a month or so before musician mansion came out, and this is my all time favorite band. this was sick!
Amazing work as always. Yeah they've really evolved. Constellations still my favorite album, Messengers a masterpiece too.
Hell yeah! Great video
this is sick man!
I will never not be blown away with how much work you put into these videos. Learning riffs, recording bass, rhythm, lead, drums, multiple camera angles, editing. This is fucking exhausting hahaha
I love august, nice video!
Truth of a Liar is a dope ass riff to play! Awesome vid!
Sick!!
after all these years Composure still gives me chills
Just found your page. Dope. ✌️🤘🤘
When Andrew could 100% be a backup guitarist or even a band member for this band. Fuck yeah
I'm still so in love with your Roamer 6. I don't think I'd ever spec anything like it but its fucking gorgeous.
Wow your guitar tone does those riffs justice
I love August burns red they are so amazing. I couldn't even choose a favorite riff they're all so good.
Subbed cuz of THIS!🙂
Going to see them in a week! This video was perfect!
One of the most talented and best bands in modern metal imo. Love abr and very nice guys as well. Great video
Great video! 👍🏼 Composure and White Washed are top tier!
Would love to see you do this for “Hopesfall”
Yo badass compilation of abr. Can you do The Red Chord, Between The Buried And Me or Misery Signals? I love playing some of their unique songs.
A MAN OF CULTURE
Damn, forgot all about misery signals
My favourite has to be The Frost. All 3 of the main riffs are just amazing to listen to and absolute blast to play.
Love your guitar tone bro! Can you make a tutorial on the process of creating your RUclips videos? How you go about recording and mixing?
I have done one in the past! Guitar tone is pretty easy honestly it's just guitar DI into Neural DSP Granophyre and some slight eq
Andrew Baena cool thanks man! Just getting into that stuff so I just wanted to know your approach. Thanks for the reply bro! 🤘🏼🎸
HELL yeah dude! Can you think about trying to do a video of an evolution of Affiance?? They are no longer an active group, but I think it would be cool to expose their music even further still! Please consider!
All of their riffs are my favorite.
My fav riff ever is the lead riff in Generations that is throughout the outro. It's the most epicest thing they've ever made.
FINALLY YESSSSS!!!
Damn.. I never heard their newer stuff. I really like their rythm in 2017 and 2020.
The Constellations album was a fucking beast
As far as riffs, probably Count It All as Lost. That whole song is a trippp.
LIT
It's genuinely unfair how good august burns red is
The intro riff on Truth of a liar is another immortal riff by them
God, that tone is massive.
I can't believe Guardians is already more than a year old....
Evolution of breakdown city, featuring a tornado.. good shit..
You should do a guitar riff evolution of Intronaut or tuned down version. That would be sick! 👍🏽💀🙌🏽
WHAT? No Meddler? Pshhhh! LOL Great video man!
🔥🔥
Your tone is so good! What amps/plugin do you use??
I'm not sure what it is but White Washed sounded off. The notes sound slow and disconnected instead of smooth. Anyone else think so?
that Composure riff is one of my favorites of all time
Abr has been my favorite band since I discovered them in 2007. Mariana's trench is to this day still my favorite song.
Absolute love this video. It makes me want to learn more of their songs... BUUUUT leaving out Meddler was just a CARDINAL SIN my dude!!!
I KNOW! It's just more right than Mariana's Trench.
My favourite riff by them is the entirety of their song Pangaea, so crazy
A Mastodon riff evolution would be cool because of the drastic change in their sound over the years
I remember when i first listened to ABR and thought: Why this guys never stay in 4/4!!!! Can't headbang like this!
Now i'm really used to those technical patterns.
When will the guitar kit giveaway be announced? I’m super excited!
April 1st on IG
Andrew Baena thanks man! 🙏 cheers!
All your videos are fkn awesome, but this one is incredible because it's ABR.. kudos on tossing defender in there🙏🤘🏼🔥
How's about.... Unearth evolution??
ABR has also been on point with every album and damn they are awesome live.
hey so about those string gauges...
😭
Nisssssssssce 🔥⚔️🔥
What kind of guitar is that on the left hand side of your rack with the crazy headstock?! I have one just like it that has no markings and idk what it is.
1:13 oh my god
ABR is the only band I can think of to have evolved so much yet remain consistent with their sound.
It is simply not possible to resist headbanging to Back Burner, the moment it came on my headphones flew off lol
Messengers will always be their best album. As old as it is it still slaps the hardest. Constellations is right there with messengers.
White washed is one of my favs glad he played a little bit of it
Mariana's trench might still be their best absolute banger of a song. I absolutely love the opening and the transistions
i think you sould do some more deathcore gituar riff evolutions
I've done Whitechapel, Suicide Silence, and thy art is murder so far already 🤘
I think, August Burns Red next level technical skill in this genre. For sure.
I haven't listened to them much, so what is a good record to start with?
Start with Spotify's top played ABR songs, constellations and messengers are classic albums fans love.
Wanted some meddler in there but had me headbanging on the bus anyway
Yeeessss! ABR for the win. The poster children for Metalcore. Just perfect!
Damn dude complete sickness \M/
ABR has nothing but sick riffs all around!
Twenty one grams main riff. Always ❤🔥
Ohhhhh, finally.
To be honest, I don't have a favorite riff. I love all of their albums just like I love all of their songs just like I love all of their riffs equally for different reasons. Lately I've been super into Creative Captivity and Coordinates. A month ago I was super into A Shot Below the Belt and The Seventh Trumpet. A month before that it was An American Dream. There's no "best" riff, no "best" song, no "best" album. They're all phenomenal in their own right.
The most consistent band I know. My favorites are Float and Beauty In Tragedy, when I listen to them I feel genuinely happy
Defender is actually in drop a I believe.
It actually switches from Drop C to Drop A. So the riff Andrew played is in C, but the breakdown and chorus type riff is in A I think. I just know JB has said that it switches between the two.
@@dcsolina alright but u can play Riffs that are in drop c with drop a tuning just at the third fret so I guess that makes more sense...
Eden Totally. I'm just pointing out that JB wrote the song to switch between the two tunings.
i wanna do a song with u!
where do i DM u? i duno where to ask....srry
