Thanks for the video. I cut a hole in my side panel for the dipstick, and after making a mess draining the oil, cut a hole in the bottom for the drain plug. I have had my share of problems with mine, but I think mostly with the electrical connections being loose. Hopefully mine will last as long as yours! I am still in the first few hundred hours. Noticed you have an extra wire to the side of the inverter that mine doesn't have, I think a grounding wire? Mine was made in March of 2017, and still has the nub in the metal where that wire went.
Thanks for your time,,,my valves push rod jumped off cam ,was hoping flame out Airbus ,removed valve cover ,stuck screwdriver in plug hole ,learned top dead center by way of driver, got valves up top exhaust assent closing up all the way, pulled adjustment Allen out of rocker ,pulled push rod, rolled it on bench,it was straight ,put push rod back in on to of can ,reset valve adjustment to eye, assembled it and YES SHE RUNS LIKE NEW!!!!it probably has 50 hrs ,I store it with stabil fuel stabilizer .THANKYOU FOR YOUR VIDEO,Peace &Love y,all
ran it 10 -14 hours a day for 10 months. changed the oil all the time, oiled filter too. the plastic cam gear ended up cracking in the Tetons. it was under a year old so when i got back to florida i sent to buffalo tools ( it was fully disassembled just a pile of parts) got a new gen on warranty.
sorry i didn't show that part, it gave me a bunch of trouble and took quite a while had to rewind spring and every thing, had to drill hole for new cord because it was thicker. was not fun but got it done. hopefully this new cord will last a long time, glad you enjoyed the video!
I had a loos e bolt somehow get sucked into the flywheel and jammed it up. I took it apart and removed the bolt. Now I can not get it to start up. Any ideas as to what it could be?
On a full tank of gas it'll only fun 15mins. All the gas will be gone. I can't tell if there's a leak or anything. Or maybe it's burning more gas for some reason? Any idea?
Mine will start and run for 20 seconds and stop. When I start the unit with the choke on it runs for 20 seconds, but if I try to move the switch to run the generator dies, any thoughts? Carb cleaning?
mine had a really stiff choke lever it barely moved when I first got it, wonder if yours could have broke in the choked position, is there any air bubbles in the primer bulb?
Hi mine is not starting after 69 hrs total. Right before it was sputtering dark smoke and dirt plugged up the exhaust, I was using carb cleaner to clean the exhaust it worked for a while now would not start. Any idea?
Have you had any fuel leaking issues? Mine was leaking fuel and we noticed that the fuel pipe connected at the top of the fuel tank became unglued and disconnected. Not sure where do find a replacement.
Now I have a new problem starts and cutting off after 3...4...5 min ..I don't think I have oil under there but I will check anyways...where is the fuel filter location just to check ..?
Mine was running for a about a minute. Plugged in a small fridge it died like sometimes it would. Would not crank back up. Pulled the plug. Rotate the engine to get all the fuel out of cylinder. Put plug back on. Wouldn't even start on starting fluid didn't test spark I wasn't near any real tools. Have you experienced this problem
never had that same problem, i've always just tested spark plugs with this method. pull plug out of motor. insert into the spark wire. pull the cord. look at the plug it should throw a spark. never needed one of those tester
@@MarcoDieter I didn't do that at the time because all the fuel that came out of the cylinder. I would have if it wasn't flooded. Coulda been a fire ball if it sparked
Axel when you shut the gen off do it by flipping the fuel cut off. Now that you mentioned its fuel was leaking(flooding) when the machine was off so i started killing it with the fuel supply. Realized this is a better way to shut offf carbarated motors as it leaves less fuel to gum up the carb
Just picked one of these up… simply wanted to run a small batt charger a couple hours a night. The charger under max load is still under the running watts and amperage yet the gen blinks overload. Runs fine and charges fine but not sure why this is .
@@OpenSourceRV well the charger is 700w starting and 500w running with max amperage @6.3 amps. I put the charger on my larger 3500w gen and the engine didn’t even bog down at all so I believe the charger is working correctly . Oh well run it till it catches fire lol!!
Just bought one this week to replace a Honda EU1000i that burned up its wiring harness at 1200 Hrs. A replacement harness would cost more than this generator new. And so it goes...
Hola tienes q asegurarte q El aceite es 10w30 y no más de 7.5 onzas si le pones más aceite no funciona bien! También puedes cambiarle la bujía por un NGK q es de mejor calidad...
not sure why.when ever i was at high altitude it looses power and it had a hard time on my fridge. cleaning the spark plug with a wire brush makes a big difference on the power if it hasn't been done in a while. at high altitude i would also use my finger to rev the motor then plug it in at the same time it helps a little bit
@MarcoDieter Yes but with a refrigerator/freezer compressor it's unlikely you'll be there to increase engine speed when the compressor restarts? Anyway, this was my preliminary test and the compressor was cold, which is worse case because oil viscosity is highest. My 2 stroke 63cc generator will start this compressor with a brief struggle, it's not an inverter generator.
I got 15 hours on mine before the engine failed just outside of warranty. I got screwed. I did my break in. Then a couple hours here and there to keep it running. When i contacted them they said they will be happy to sell me an engine for more than i paid for the generator IF they are ever available again. So when yours craps out, dont buy another.

Good idea, Im going to cut a hole in the side panel too. I had already done one so i can actuate the throttle by finger.
Got mine for $75 on a Home Depot sale 4 years ago. Still runs great with only one problem, the vent fuel line cracked and had to replace for 50 cents

Wow so many miss spelled words ,Sorry Sausage fingers here,
guess its hit or miss with some of these gennys

I wish you would of shown how you fixed the recoil starter. That's one tough little generator with 2000+ hours on it.

Could you suggest a primer bulb replacement

has to be a leak, mine runs for 10Hours on a full tank so something is going on has to be a leak

any chance you left the air valve on the gas cap closed?
I thought about that so I removed the cap to ensure it was open.
Could that be an issue?
@@toneyrobinson1119 mine will eventually stop if the vent isn't open. but if you had the cap open you have eliminated that as an issue.

@@MarcoDieter The carb seems difficult to remove...
Do you still use this thing or did it finally quit. I am debating on picking one up.
Good day my generator once it starts the rev goes high, what causes it to rev so high

its not doing good, i would try to return on warranty if you can, they are pretty good about it. sound like oil is getting into the cylinder not good.
I think so too. I think I can still return it. Thank you
@@jacksonlee5117 Where did you buy yours, and where you able to exchange it, EVEN if you didn't buy the extended warranty?

NEVER HAD THAT ISSUE.think you can go to any auto parts store and get some fuel line by the foot.
If I want to get a replacement spark plug from Walmart what is the number spark plug that I'm looking for

Hi there how I replace the fuel primer the rubber thing broke need a tip how to remove it? .
if you cant find the part. you can try bypassing the primer bulb. try routing the fuel directly to the fuel cut-off

What if mine only runs 5 seconds and shuts off and flashes overload with nothing plugged in??
check for oil on controller board, spray with carb cleaner or similar.

Still works?
no it failed after 3000 ish hours
I made the mistake of putting this generator in a trailer.....after the bouncy ride, it now won't start. Any ideas?
either fuel line coming of tank or priming bulb. or wires coming off the bottom of the inverter, which is just behind the front cover.
