For 30 watts it's good...im Glad I bought mines from Walmart.. thanks for the review
@kilemiller9179 this thing definitely bumps for 30 watts
Thank you for doing your video I'm going to buy mines today I had this small soundcore selection 3
@ventura-pm4fw your very welcome, thanks for watching and supporting me
Damn one of the best 30w speakers iv seen in a while bass is crazy on it
@doodle9 yeah the bass is awesome, but the regular boom 2 gets louder and has better highs
Just stopped at Walmart and bought one an hour ago and now I'm here😂
@Scranton_Boii_666 nice!!! It's honestly a dang good speaker especially for the price
@Jagistreviews I love it, I bought it to replace my little soundcore 3 that broke on me today at work! The heavy equipment I operate doesn't have a radio so Bluetooth speaker it is🤣
@Scranton_Boii_666 nice I'm sure it blows that out of the water, I love mine
@@Jagistreviews hopefully she performs in the Stone quarry tomorrow!
@@Scranton_Boii_666 I also have Soundcore Motion 300, pretty nice too.
Very impressive bass holy heck
@gamerboy-nq6kr way good bass, way better than I though is was going to have
Really I'm very hard to believe it's too good for the price, I can literally hear a good amount of sub bass from this small speaker! That Nbhd Nick Add it Up song sounds amazing❤
@kandargurudurairaaj6785 yeah this thing is awesome for 99$ lots of bass
Sounds great. I think the price should have been around $79 because the boom 2 regularly goes on sale for around 100. So for that price you would just buy the better one. But great video great job keep up the good work!
@aaronboyd2951 thank you, and yeah I agree this really needs to be about 79$ at 99$ it's just a better deal to get the original boom 2
@@Jagistreviews I literally just bought my dad one of these off Walmart for $79.
You two hit the nail on the head on the price.
@ImJustKindaHere for that price it's a amazing deal and speaker
That is some impressive deep bass. Sounds deeper than the regular boom 2.
It does have a great amount of bass
I think it surely sound better than Boom 2 which sounds muddy and just being loud and boomy.
@@KL-xv5gj both sound surprisingly good
I just ordered Soundcore Boom 2 SE instead of Soundcore Boom 2 because this has more clarity, mids and highs both seem to be better and the bass is also neutral, not as too heavy bass as Soundcore Boom 2 which is very loud with blooming sound but lacks the clarity and the good to the ears type of musical enjoyment. Thanks for the excellent review, you pointed me to something that sounds better to me and the price is even more attractive, less than Soundcore Boom 2!
Yeah honestly i think I prefer the soundsl of the se version a bit better at least at low and moderate listening levels
@ I also have Soundcore Motion 300, which is actually pretty loud as a speaker. Did you introduce Motion 300 before ?
@KL-xv5gj i haven't gotten that speaker yet. I may at some point
I bought one and didn't know what to expect but was completely blow away by the sound, good base... lacking a bit in the treble section but for that price I'm pretty happy with the purchase.
Yeah i like it a lot especially for the price
Just bought this at Price Mart in Barranquilla, Colombia for USD equivalent of $50 ($249.000,00 COP) and it's AWESOME!
Nice that's a great deal!!! It's a great speaker
It's true 2 channel stereo as opposed to 2.1 mixed down to mono on the original. Having 2 drivers for the mids & bass makes a huge difference.😊
@jedolivier2688 yes it does!!! Honestly this thing sounds awesome, way better than I thought it was going to sound, and the true stereo does make a difference
I just bought this. It sounds amazing. I just kinda miss the lights but that's ok. I got mine at Walmart for 79.00 on sale. I may pay extra and get the Boom 2. Just don't know yet. Thanks for the review. My sons are into Sound Core and music. They can help me.
@karenmiddleton995 your welcome, thanks for watching and supporting me I really appreciate it
I just did the same bought at Walmart for 80 and they sent me 2 speakers for the price of one 😂
@@fastcarfootball8710 I did buy the Soundcore 2 on the Black Friday sale. I think I like it better. I still have my other Soundcore. I guess I'll return it. Gotta do a sound test. The Soundcord 2 I think is better. I paid around the same price. I got the blue, not the black. The blue was a little extra. I like the blue. I like the app where I can turn off the lights and do all the other cool stuff.
@@fastcarfootball8710 Did they send you two boom speakers? Doesn't surprise me. I got free stuff and my money back and so have a lot of people. Enjoy your music.
Impressive bass boosted that's what ive hear of this small 30 watts speaker. 😮... Getting on to the huge boombox category. I'm waiting for the soundbattle between zealot s98 vs w-king x20 😂.
@easyice544 heck yeah I'm ordering the zealot s98 in about a week
Dang not bad at all ❤❤❤
@jdawg988 super good for 99$
Nice one
Please put it on against the older boom and the boom 2
Thanks
@aniefiokjohn5943 I don't have the original motion boom right now but I might try to get one again, I think this one has more bass but not as deep as the original
how is it compared to boom 2 original one? from what i know this one lacks deep bass and clarity
@DominikReviews I don't have the original motion boom anymore but it's giving me super similar vibes, but I would say it has more bass but not as deep as the motion boom from what I remember
@@DominikReviews I need you or Alan Ross to get this and test it with your mics
@@Jagistreviews not available here
@@DominikReviews oh lame
Nice review!
This is not a bad iteration of the Boom 2 & definitely not a bad speaker overall but coming from older Soundcore speakers like the Boost, Motion Boom, Motion Plus...most newer Soundcore speakers doesn't impress me again as before, they offer great value speakers that outperforms some of it's competitors but not as good as before, even build quality is not that satisfactory anymore to me compared to before
The OG Motion Boom should be better than this & even cheaper but i have another problem there, the OG Boom made earlier like around 2021 & the ones they are making now are no longer thesame, the older ones have more deeper bass, overall little better quality than the recent ones...when this Boom 2 SE came out newly, it was $126 on Aliexpress & some people bought it thinking it was the real Boom 2 & were disappointed & dissatisfied
Currently it should be around $86 on Aliexpress, all in all it's a good value for the money but as a long time Soundcore fan, I'm not impressed anymore by their recent offerings
@okpalaathanesius8939 thank you, and yeah this is not a bad speaker what so ever but it's very very similar to the motion boom sound wise I think, honestly it should only be about 80$ but I think it can compete with the jbl extreme 3 really really well and for much cheaper but they definitely have gotten a lot cheaper and not great build quality, the boom 2 and SE are decent though for the price
Do you prefer this one over the original Boom2?
@jedolivier2688 I'm not sure yet, I'm going to listen to them side by side and see how it compares, I can say it's nearly as good as the boom 2, just a smaller battery and no led lights
@@Jagistreviews Yeah, Souncore’s getting rich off of a light show, it’s just that plain & simple. I listen to your podcasts with my Boom2 because well, I just refuse to listen to music on it.
To make a long story short, the overall sound, especially at the louder volumes & the bass, good LORD! FYI, in my Soundcore EQ I’ve got it on the VOICE setting with bass up 2.0 off. Yeah, the SE sounded that good. I’ll be scooping 1 or maybe even 2 up to pair together for TWS, HOLY COW!
Is this edition good? I don't think it's better than the Soudcore 2 version. Right?
@juanfigueroa4305 it's actually surprisingly good and definitely worth 99$ the normal boom 2 is better but not by as much as I was expecting
@@Jagistreviews But if the normal Boom 2 is better than this stereo edition "Se"?
@juanfigueroa4305 after listening side by side I can confirm the regular boom 2 is better, it's louder and the highs are better than the SE version
@@Jagistreviews Thank you!!! I already felt like I did wrong when I bought the standard Boom 2. I know it's the best. I'm calmer. 😀🙌🏻
@@Jagistreviews Do you think that the drivers work better than having the SE version in stereo? 🤔
Does it have a tweeter? Cuz I’ve seen the picture you posted it looks like it doesn’t have tweeters
@@keme9325-g7b it only has 2 full range drivers exactly like the motion boom
i think the drivers are from old motion and they redesign it .
@LOW_Quality_ASMR it could be for sure, it has great bass
Hopefully, Soundcore will release an update to improve the midrange performance on the original Boom2, it really needs it.😢
@@jedolivier2688 I hope they do to, fingers crossed
I was watching videos where they say that in stereo you can hear the music much better, is that true? Then this edition Boom 2 SE. It must be better than stereo editing, right? 🤔
@juanfigueroa4305 true stereo sound is going to sound better than a mainly mono speaker for sure but with these smaller speakers it's not as noticeable as it is with bigger speakers
@@Jagistreviews Yes, I saw a video of a music producer who says that in stereo the sounds are heard more organized and that with monkey you can hear everything together in a single speaker and you can't appreciate the quality well. So do you recommend this mono version? 😅🤔
@juanfigueroa4305 for this size of speaker I think the boom 2 sounds better than the SE version
The midrange sounds much better on the SE version vs the Boom2. I own the regular or original Boom2 & the mids don’t sound as clean & or detailed as the SE.
I bought the Boom2 for outdoor use & honestly, if you’re looking for a good outdoor speaker, you might want to look elsewhere.
It performs much better indoors.😂
@jedolivier2688 yeah the mids are seeming to be better on the SE version but volume and highs are definitely better on he original
For a 30 watt speaker that bass DEFINITELY punches above its weight
@chavaranderson3124 yeah and it retains it's bass at higher volumes quite well
@@chavaranderson3124 Yeah, I bought the original Boom2 on Amazon discounted down to $99.99. I’m not really impressed with the sound quality of it, as a matter of fact, I kind of feel let down when it comes to the sound quality.
It sounds okay, until you hear it side by side other speakers in the same size & price range that have a much cleaner & clearer, detailed sound. Soundcore’s getting rich off of consumers due to the light show.
I’m not a kid, I’m a grown ass man, how does it sound? In comparison to the other speakers that Jag has matched it up with, it sounds like there’s a sheet or blanket in front of it making it sound compressed & or flat or muffled.
This SE version isn’t available on Amazon like the original. Also, I haven’t seen any advertising at all for this speaker unlike the organic Boom2. Do you know why? The SE doesn’t need lights or advertising, because it really does overachieve in sound quality given its size & price.
As soon as I can get the $$$ I’m going to Wal-Mart & getting the SE. I don’t even listen to music on the one that I own & only use it for podcast listening. That’s pretty much all that you need to know, right?
How do the boom 2 se do against the JBL charge 5
@@extremegaming3221 the boom 2 obliterates the jbl charge 5 in all categories, it's way better
Did it just came out
@@metroishereyt6662 it's been at Walmart for a while now
Wait till you get the other one in compare them you're going to hear the difference. It won't hold near the bass. But seriously if they're the same price why would you buy that one, no lights lower wattage smaller battery. It compares with the soundcore select pro that Walmart used to sell
@jammer1mo I already have the boom 2, I got this one to see how it compares, technically this is 99$ and the boom 2 is 130$ but goes on sale for closer to 100$ a lot, yeah the SE version is the cheaper version with no lights and a bit smaller of a battery
@jammer1mo the boom 2 is obviously the better speaker, this one is the cheaper version
Yeah I know that. It's been 99 bucks for the last 3 weeks I believe. The other one(se) not a bad speaker, it's not the best bang for your buck
@jammer1mo yes sir, both are great speakers for sure though
ohh they make a cheap boom 2
@@LOW_Quality_ASMR yup
