Many people will be coming knives out to criticize his take, but IMO he absolutely proved to be worthy of the job judging by the deleted scene. He gets the Joker. As a lifelong Batman comics fan I think he honored the character beautifully. Super hyped to see where he takes him in the sequels.

Barry Keoghan is beyond adorable and is a huge talent. Just as he has named his son Brando, I am confident that Barry will have a career as brilliant as Marlon Brando. Should have gotten that oscar yesterday, but certainly he will be nominated for many more in the years and decades to come.

If you read aloud any of James Joyce's Ulysses you can hear the Irish sound come alive, a beautiful musical lilt and rhythm to the flowing words. This said from me being an American, but I am half Irish, so Irish American, the Irish being on my better side, my mother's side (her grandparents from Cork and Kerry counties)
