Finally, after 7 years Slimer is finally crowned champion, great season overall and shouts to Ducktape and Superball for making the podium
So sad about Superball. The only DNF they had was when they finally took the overall lead...then the final race happened.
Quietly the most consistent marble in the field (as finally recognized by commentary at the very end). So quiet in fact that while running in 4-5th throughout the chaos the commentary didn't even realize the championship was won when Ghost Plasma went off for another minute.
@@MemphisJagsfanquicksilver got it even worse in S2, he was in 1st place overall for 9 races, had a DNF in the final race and got kicked off the podium. i'm a quicksilver fan btw so that hurt my soul

Ghost plasma with 3 first place finishes and 4 DNF, in 10 races!
It just shows how unpredictable is the Marble Rally, and I love it!

So happy for Slimer! I've been rooting for you for the last few years. The definite dark horse of the season, everyone was downplaying your consistency.
Right? He was performing construction well in most races but hardly mentioned.
that's because he is never the fast flashy marble. Slimer just manages to avoid obstacles and hazards really great. very often you see him drop in the standings only to gain it back when the mistakes happen.
i actually predicted slimer to win as i just thought this would be the sand rally he gets his deserved championship

Safe to say it lived up to the hype. Intense competition, full of defining moments.
The Marble Rally delivered once again. I'm very thankful of the JMR team for bringing back this series and these marbles, there's no boring day when they roll fast down the hills. Don't let it go, it has a well deserved status as a main series.
That RN3 imposter had me in the first half. I thought my boy escaped from what ever drawer they stuffed him in.
Honestly I have hardly watched this channel since they got switched him out and said nothing about it. Just isn’t fun to see them lose so hard every week because the replacement marble is terrible.
@@swifty391_ I thought so at first too,but as soon as the others started catching up,I kinda knew what would happend. Didn't see a DNF though. Old RN3 would've pulled away and finished out of the camera frame. This RN3 is a joke.

Ghost Plasma had the biggest choke in rally history. I honestly feel bad for the guy. Hopefully, he can regroup and come back strong next season.
But congrats to my man Slimer! He wasn't flashy, but he kept chugging away, seizing his moments when they arose. That's veteran experience coming through right there. A well deserved win.
Proud of the rookie. Amethyst has a bright future ahead of him.

sure thing, I've had my eye on her since the beginning, almost went crazy when she had that 2nd place spot for a while.
But they didn't auto-qualify, so for all we know, this could just be their "cup of coffee" in the bigs

Wow, is that so? Slimer was really consistent, almost always finishing in the top half.
Super proud of Ducktape--they put it all on the track this season. That second place is beyond deserved. It took quick thinking to not DNF in the middle of the pack as other marbles fell all around them! They proved they have what it takes to #StickToIt

Let's go Slimer!!! it must have been so hard to keep it cool and stay focused on the race after both Superball and Ghost plasma got out. But with nerves of steel you did it. What a race, what a season!!

Honestly feels weird to see RN3 in overall last. Doesn't fit him, to be honest.
Seeing Ghost Plasma lose like that has been downright painful. But what a season, beautifully produced as usual from start to finish. This is simply incredibly good entertainment.

If Red Number 3 hadn’t been forcefully spayed they wouldn’t have ever fallen to the depths that they have.
I think lack of endurance is the main culprit: RN3 was top 3 in the early goings on 5 occasions but they lost speed because of hits from or against the other racers, obstacles, too many bumps off the walls.
And it was a glorious season, once again... Slimer is, by far, the deserved winner. I really thought Amethyst could pull through, but, alas... Onwards, for more great races! May the best win, in the Marbula One!
This was an incredible final race to finish an incredible Marble Rally season, and I can't wait for the next one. Thank you so much Jelle and co.!
SLIMER HAS DONE IT! After rooting for this solid green marble for almost seven years, and being so close three times already, I'm so proud of them for finally pulling through. Words can't describe how happy I am right now.
Lollipop sure did great in that race!

Finally, after having his hopes dashed by a rock in the season 2 finale, slimer finally became a champion
This race summed up Red Number 3’s season well. Started off great, and ended horrendously
This whole season in a nutshell. Red number 3 came roaring out to the lead but dnf mid race in contention. The myth of red number 3 comes so close, but just not quite this season. Great stuff
If the races were half as long, RN3 would have had at least three or four wins.
Please let Slimer continue his legacy after his win. I would still love to keep cheering him on

A horrible finish for Red. Once he took the lead I had a feeling he would choke it.
Back in the day RN3 would have taken control of that race in the mid-course and never looked back. It was painful to watch the old horse falling back. DNF is such a sad end, and an end I think it is.

Red Number 3’s friends the Rojo Rollers completed in Marble League 2023, that’s what I know RN3 and the Rojo Rollers came from the same city and have a friendship with each other

I knew Slimer would do well, because I had another stress dream last night that Slimer DNF'd again... My nervousness always translates into success for Slimer!
As a longtime fan of ducktape, I’m extremely proud of their second place finish this season. Ducktape really pushed themselves, got some good wins and some close losses. Congrats to Slimer though, excellent racing throughout. Very consistent with no DNFs at all.

Kinda had hoped for Amethyst to win this cause a newcomer winning would have been just groundbreaking and there was a moment where it even seemed possible, but well than there was a slight mistake that probably just proves the rookie status and such things has to be polished next season but nonetheless the first race win and just the possibility still fighting for the win in the last race shows that Amethyst indeed has shown an amazing seasons performance overall. So their 5th place is basically like a Win.
But to be honest, congrats to Slimer, I have to say with 4 podiums and not a single DNF as the only marble of the field makes absolutely a deserved Marble Rally Champion without any doubts!
And oh boy Ghost Plasmas Season Must be the most unbelievable of all time, lol.

After a tough season it was nice to see Grasshopper up front the entire race... a real shame that the victory evaporated in the final moments. Wonderful season for Slimer; credit where credit is due. Amethyst has had an incredible rookie season as well.

This was seriously the most exciting of all the races I've watched in quite awhile! My choice was eliminated immediately unfortunately but wow, the race, the finish - thanks for a fabulous season Jelle!!!!!

Yeah, everything from the last second overtake by Lollipop to the DNF's in the race, it might be one of the most chaotic races.
I like to imagine that, Red Number 3's performance has gone so down hill because he let all the backlash get to him. When he was exposed as not a marble. It sent him down a dark path and has hurt his career ever since.
I agree. Such an awful performance from such a prodigy cannot be due to natural causes. Something happened to him.
@@swifty391_ so the conspiracies are true, just as i suspected... how horrid it is what they have done to him.
This season showed how important just finishing each race is. Slimer was the only marble with 0 DNFs, while Ghost Plasma was sitting pretty after 3 straight golds, but ended on 3 straight DNFs to end up off the podium.
Props to Slimer for having no DNFs

Ghost Plasma experienced the highest high and the lowest low in a single season. Hatrick first place into hatrick DNF. Incredible.

As a Grasshopper fan that waited all year for something good to happen. The final result of this was kind of heart breaking.

Was that far enough. As a superball fan that was painful. I never want to see another stick in my life. Luckily we miraculously held on to podium but tough finish.

Amethyst almost had that second place win but fell off the bridge at around 3:41, costing her a spot on the podium. Yet, I'm still proud of her, being a newcomer and all. 5th place is not a bad finish, too. That was such an awesome rally with intense races.
Pollo Loco may not have done stellar, but seeing RN3 come in dead last is almost as sweet a victory.
Gutted for Superball. I hear he's been having some family issues recently and been hitting the bottle pretty hard.

so proud of amethyst!!!! i knew it was unlikely she would win, but placing fifth in her first season (and only 3 points behind third!) is very impressive. here’s to hoping she wins the next one!
As a loyal fan of RN3, it's honestly hurt me to watch the SMR legend suffer the first season-ending defeat of his career. His first season after his surgery was average at best, ending with him finishing 7th in the overall standings, but it seems that the controversy he suffered for not being a marble had finally taken its toll on his morale. I had never seen RN3 score this many DNFs in a single season until now. But to be completely fair, even champions lose more races than they win.
To RN3, on the slimmest chance that you're reading this comment, know that I have never once given up hope for you. No matter the drama, no matter the controversy, and no matter how many heartbreaking defeats you have to endure, you are a legend who has made his mark on the history of the Sand Marble Rally, & whether you're a marble or not, you're living proof that the SMR is not just a marble-only sports event, so keep going out there & showing the world what made you famous in the first place!
To Jelle, I highly suggest that that you & your crew conduct a thorough review of track design for the SMR in future seasons. Far too many marbles have suffered DNFs in any of the courses this year, mainly in the form of fallen leaves, sticks (see Superball Race 10), jumping the walls, &/or getting caught in pockets at any point along the wall (especially in tight corners/chicanes). Proposals include:
1) Keeping the track as clean as possible of debris to reduce the chances of marbles getting snagged.
2) Reinforcing the side walls with flexible plastic/cardboard sheets to prevent the marbles from rolling off the track or getting stuck in pockets.
I have enjoyed this season immensely. Keep up the good work!
Ghost Plasma, how. How is this even possible. Hat trick of wins for the first time in marble rally history, followed up by a hat trick of DNFs. I guess there's a bit of orange in his color, cause he's showing the same love for late-season chokeplay as my beloved O'rangers.
Man Amethyst really putting in the effort there. Must’ve gotten too preoccupied blocking the route of the marbles behind her and got caught on the hole in the bridge. But to still get a top 5 finish in the final standings is an amazing finish. Especially for a rookie. Might be seeing a new star rising.
As for RN3 you’ll always be a legend of the sands. But it might be time to hang it up. Only tarnishing a great career with these last ditch efforts.

What a choke by Ghost Plasma. Hat tricks three races, DNFs three races including the last one to not even podium for the season. I'm devastated.

Congrats to slimer one of two of my favorite marbles. In sand rally . The other ghost plasma did well all season then the dnf happened man untill next season 🎉
Let's hope that Red #3 trains harder in the off season. This year has been such a disappointment. This race in particular was just a nightmare, to not even finish after such a big early lead. SAD
Real shame how Plasma ended this season after such a great streak. Ghost can come back stronger and get em next season

Unpredictable and suspenseful season! A heartbreaking one for former champs ghost plasma and red number 3. But slimer and amethyst are rising rallyists. Superball is still in contention for next season.

Slimer absolutely did not deserve that championship. He won via luck and only luck.
While I can somewhat agree that he did mainly win by luck (due to Superball AND Ghost Plasma DNF in the finale), he still did very well in the race as well as the season overall, and this championship win should not be deemed as undeserved. Slimer still did well to move his way up into 3rd place to finish there in the race.
What a great race for Grasshopper, only to lose on the final stretch! That win was stolen from Grasshopper!
