Simple answer. Buy a pellet smoker and a gas grill. Have a Traeger for smoking but was never happy when trying to get a sear as it never seemed to get hot enough even when leaving a cast iron pan to heat up in it. Have a Napoleon gas grill instead of the Weber but both get hot! Smoke some steaks or wings for a reverse sear type of cook then throw it on the hot gas grill. Comes out great. Also with the gas grill as you said. Doesn’t need power to cook. All electric house here so if we lose power no way to cook except the grill.
