JoesGE.com is a pretty cool place (depending who you talk to it might be more than pretty cool. But hey, I'm just writing this down so that it says something down here, because that's more professional right?) and if you're still reading along at this point you might as well sit down and grab some popcorn because this is about to trail on about how we are this premiere repair service located in Washington State North of Seattle in basically the "Armpit of the US" near Mt Baker (Mt Baker has the world record for most snowfall at 1,140 inches in a season). Even though it can smell bad around here we love the fresh air and being near the post office and in a quiet sleepy mountain town certainly gives us much closer access to Team Turtle and Team Beaver (Watch our "Who, what, when and where is JoesGE?" video if you don't get the reference).
All this to basically say that we are all addicted to coffee and stay in the warehouse for ridiculously long hours in order to keep up with the demands of the youth for these two-sided head audio devices and speakers that float when you throw them in the ocean or in your bathtub to test if they actually float. On top of that, we do like it when less stuff ends up in landfills so we hoard everything on shelves with wheels so that we pollute less, it just sits in our warehouse losing molecules slowly over time degrading to become smaller and smaller.
If you are still reading at this point you deserve an award, or a high five, or something because you must either be the most patient person on the planet, or you read blogs frequently. And if the latter is the case, then this whole thing must seem pretty short so let's keep going.
We do some really interesting things here at JoesGE which are frequently documented in our sometimes weekly sometimes never vlogs.
Also, if you are wondering how we keep up with the demands of the people so well, its because 90% of the people that work here are all Russian around getting things done most of the time. Yes, that was a pun, you are welcome. We hope you have a pun-filled day, because who couldn't use a few laughs?

Thanks so much for this! Your instructions were clear and helped me to change my charging port. The only mistake I made was I didn't align the charging port before screwing in the black, pointy screws and now, one of the holes for the screws doesn't work ... but I think it will work for now

Hi, thanks for the video. I think my bose quietconfort 2 is not charging well. It marks in green, but when I connect it it tells me that it is at 20%. I am from Spain and it is difficult and expensive for me to send the product there for repair. So, could you tell me where to buy the part that has the microusb port?
have you tried a reset?
What would cause the headset (QC35) to turn off after 5 seconds? When I plug the usb charger, the led light comes on (red) the goes off after 5 seconds. Changed the battery and issue still remains.
Really appreciate the video! Would this work for the BOSE model 700? Where is the link to buy the charging port replacement? Thanks!
Im not sure if it will. We will try to make a video on how to do that repair though.
@@Joesge That would be awesome! BTW can we purchase a port replacement from your online store?
How do I know if the charging port is the thing that is wrong? My Bose qc 35 ii don't charge when I plug them in and the lamp docent blink amber?

Great video. But I have the Bose NC 700 pair of Bose and my daughter tried to force the wrong charge cable in to charge and now the charger porter has a little wire that is broken and won't charge any more. Can I replace this charger port as you did for the QC35? do you have a video to show how it is done as I am in Australia.
Were you able to fix this problem? If so how?
Where do i get a new charging port ?

Hi guys, unfortunately I am not from US but ever since got these I am wondering can this charging port be replaced with USB-C? This is my only item still with micro usb and it would be much nicer to replace with usb-c. Thanks
Armin, thank you for watching our video. We cannot give you a clear answer on that as we have yet to do that. This is the part that we usually use here: www.joesge.com/products/bose-quietcomfort-qc35-charger-port-replacement-parts

I also have the same interest. I personally hate the design of nc700, and I would like to buy a qc35 revision with type c port. Could you sell the parts where the charging port is customized to type c?
Maybe u should zoom a bit...
80% of the video is blank... And I can't really see what you do
