The more right you turn it the bigger the cut so the more hair you will be left with. The more left you turn it the smaller the cut so u will be left with less hair

The more you turn it to the left the higher the blade will be but the shorter the hair it will be cut. Basically turning it to the right is opening the lever Turing it to the left is closing the lever
