I don't get those gum sweet flavors. Just , very smooth and very light distance of a mild sweetness, agave for sure and overall delicious. I can't make out the flavors but delicious for sure. Here in the U.S. it cost me $65 including taxes.
The single person that has the correct suggestions for tequila. I don’t like tequila, but I wouldn’t drink anything everyone else is suggesting in the comments. And herradura is trash. Steveno7058. Don’t sleep on Cazcanez
I'd recommend Fortaleza and El Tequileño. Fortaleza is a bit expensive but that's because they use older agave and do everything the traditional way by hand (can confirm as I visited the distillery - funnily enough I toured with the US Herradura reps who'd been sent there after visiting Herradura in order to see the more traditional methods). El Tequileño - more reasonable price, natural and they also remove the cogollo of the agave (bitter part) before cooking, which I think gives it a better flavour profile. In Tequila the guys at the distilleries all said don't bother with cristalino, it's basically just a marketing gimmick - more expensive and potentially stripping out aromas and flavours.
Hey Rob, I saw that awesome vid you and Jeremy did on Glenallechie batch 8. I was just wondering what you think. Craft cellars currently has Batch 8 on sale for $89.99, but in my Glenallechie searches, I stumbled upon a Duncan Taylor Glenallachie 14 2008 53.8% ABV for $165. They have 3 left, and they also have a 20% off sale until the 30th. Which do you think is a better whisky/value, the batch 8 or the Duncan Taylor? I am holding off from purchasing in case you want one of them as well. I figured it would be something you'd really love, unless you know something I don't know .. which is why I'm inquiring. I've never had a Duncan Taylor anything, but for a 14 year old at 53.%, from sherry octave small batch, at 20% off, I figured it might be more value than the batch 8. What do you think?
Both of these tequilas are loaded with additives. There are so many traditionally made tequilas to choose from. I know you are all about integrity bottlings.
the 1800 anejo is fantastic and very inexpensive compared to these 2. i tried the hurradura ultra a few days ago, it was crazy sweet, nector over 9000 lmao
Casamigos has additives for sure. Cool to see you getting into tequila!

Fortaleza, G4, and El Tosoro. All naturally presented and produced.
Cheers

You're pronouncing the j just fine. So why fuck up the ñ?
