Her cds are my desert island cds. I couldnt have gotten through my wilderness experiences without her songs to keep me searching for God in all things.
She is still my favorite artist! In the soundtrack of my life, Margaret Becker has major billing! God has brought me exactly the songs I needed to get me through, and MOST of them are by Maggie B! ❤ THANK YOU!
She is awesome. Saw her around 97 in Beaumont. She's no stranger to the record industry. Quite the talent she, writing, singing and recording her songs. Back in those days, her stuff was all I listened to. Drove my workers to bring headsets each day. She's certainly one in a billion. I've always admired her.
Beautiful, beautiful Margaret. Many a mile our family flew down the road belting it out to Margaret! Many a life circumstance has brought to mind one of her songs, Never for Nothing, Innocence, Just Come In, etc. Psalm 8 brings to mind "Who Am I". We've been blessed to attend a couple concerts. Her haunting voice, insightful sincere lyrics. Beautiful songs. Such energy. It's a shame she's not out there any longer. We just love her. I pray that she's where Jesus wants her to be. He knows. Margaret, wherever you are, the Lord is coming soon, stay true. Stay that candle.
Thanks so much Andrew for posting this! Such an awesome concert!! 0:07 Immigrant's Daughter 4:37 Maggie introduces her guitar accompaniest Rich Hordinski 5:11 This is My Passion 9:41 Margaret sharing - intro to "Solomon's Shoes" 9:47 Solomon's Shoes 13:11 Simple House 16:45 Find Me 20:35 Margaret sharing ... 21:16 For the Love Of You [Maggie w/12-string] 25:21 Margaret sharing about the hardest person to forgive ... 27:35 Just Come In 32:01 Streets of Innocence 37:16 I Commit 41:06 Never for Nothing [Maggie no guitar]
My first encounter of hearing her wonderful voice was "Streets of Innocence" I think it was 1987." Everytime I hear her sing "How Long" with Greg Long (is it?)just makes me 'cry' so ta speak. Love her.
I remember reading one of those CCM mags that compared secular artists to CCM artists and said "If you like Heart, check out Margaret Becker" - so accurate. She's my favorite CCM artist of all time.
I first heard Maggie B. on a compilation demo tape at a Christian bookstore. I was really impressed with her voice so I bought her cd, "The Reckoning" which opened with the hard rocking "Light in the Darkness"...a true pleasant surprise. There was indeed an Ann Wilson vibe to her early recordings.
Ian, I went to your youtube page and hear you doing that U2 song. What a wonderful voice you have. Please friend me on Facebook! What a handsome guy you are. I used to do many HEART covers and that's how I also found Margaret. Blessings to you!
I used to have this video as well as Steven Curtis Chapman's Front Row performance. I regret that I let both of them slip away. I've always loved the honesty in her words and performances.
I saw her perform solo at Rock Church in Virginia Beach, VA back in 1986 or 87, absolutely incredible vocalist, writer and guitarist...she shredded a pearl blue electric guitar and an acoustic guitar. Being a drummer "at first" I was disappointed she didn't have a full band, but she didn't let anyone down by herself a true force to be reckoned with! And "Never for Nothing" rocked!!! Now that I think about it I believe she played a blue Zion guitar with an airbrushed lightning storm on it, but that may have been someone else!
I had this video! Played it so much! I’m not sure what happened to it but hopefully someone out ther is loving it as much as I did & still do! I love you Margaret Becker ♥️
Please come back to Sydney 😊 your intimate Sydney show way back when in Sydney. Tried to remember exactly when but can't. Looked on google but there's no reference....if anyone went...I'd love to chat

She gave glory to God!!!
Exactly... they'll find her music a hundred years from now and say she was obscure but a genius
For decades, my favorite female artist, never get tired listening to her music.
Nobody sings like this woman. That voice can crumble a mountain.

Heart was one of my favorite secular artists... the first time I heard Margaret Becker, it blew me away. I felt like I was listening to Ann Wilson.

Her music took me through some of my toughest times.

ASTONISHING!
I am in love. . .
Almost unbelievably good. . .
Beautiful artist
Margaret Becker: The only things bigger than her hair in this video are her love of God and her talent.
Awesome.
I love big hair! I miss her....
I used to have this video as well as Steven Curtis Chapman's Front Row performance. I regret that I let both of them slip away. I've always loved the honesty in her words and performances.
I had this video. It vanished in the many moves. Thanks for posting.
I really love this acoustic performance!
What a powerful presentation...

I permanently ruined my vocal chords when I spent an entire 4-day road trip with a friend singing Margret-Becker-Songs in falsetto...
LOVE MB. Saw her a few times back in the day. Who is the other guitarist playing with her?
Oh I see she introduces him after the first song! The guy from Over the Rhine! how awesome!
