When Tim and Chance double down on bass its a praise Jesus moment. When Austin and Rob decide they're going to tag team leads in a phrase just because they can and how they don't pull a hammy with those runs defies logic and Adam is, well, Adam (when you can't comprehend something it becomes a verb). I've just sort of taken it as a given that either the definition of human needs updating or they are outside of the sample size. Have a wonderful weekend all.
Chance is such a great addition to the group! I love bass in general so it's nice to hear them harmonize and either one can take over the bass beat while the other gets a solo.
One thing they did that so many others didn't was continued to make and post music during the quarantine, including the song Quarantine. I relied on their music through some hard times, and watching you react to so many musicians has also been a pleasure. You make me laugh and your attention to the small nuances that others miss is amazing! 💕💕🙏
I don't know how I would have survived the last 18 months if I didn't have Home Free keeping me company through the long days. I hope they realise what they have done for us, my 12 year old grandson is as much a fan as me, he has cp so is restricted to what he can do but he loves music. Thank you so much to these wonderful young men X
@@dotwyness4110 not only have they done so much for us but all of us banding together kept them going during this time too. They really are like our family or next door neighbors people we could hang out with
Same here. I started spending a lot of time on RUclips shortly after the quarantine started. And then I re-discovered Home Free & was immediately hooked. They certainly helped keep me sane - and those new videos every other week gave me something to look forward to.
@@BSGNative I worked all through quarantine but it helped me through a rough day (I worked in the food industry) I know they helped lots of people get through a difficult time. I'm so glad they are around and we can help one another
It just doesn’t get much better. I like to go back and listen to the original artists and then come back and listen to Home Free’s cover again. As I’m listening, I remember they’re doing all of this a cappella! Just phenomenal!
The OG was Nitty Gritty Dirt Band who one of their members co-wrote the song and released in the Acoustic album in 1994. That is my favorite version because its simple and clean imho.
Love your reaction! You are so right, these guys don't need any props or theatrics just their beautiful voices to harmonize. Rob & Austin in their tenor voices, Tim & Chance carrying the bass, and then Adam adds the finishing touches with his tasteful beatboxing.
Nick, your reaction was as good as I thought it would be !!! These boys did SANG in this one, so much so it even tops One-Man Band which I thought was to be their signature song at their concerts this fall & winter !! But this is the new CHAMP....not only is a great arrangement sung perfectly by these guys, it's also a strikingly beautiful video as well. Bless your Sunday dude !!
Just plain S-I-C-K that's all - your reaction mirrored mine to a TEE!!! I did a double take about a dozen times with all the runs by Rob and Austin and Adam's beat boxing was freaking lights out - the baritone/Bass duo of Tim and Chance was the foundation that the whole house of sound was built on... I'm always amazed at the sound these guys consistently lay down but it shouldn't surprise me.... They never disappoint and always leave me with my mouth wide open....OMG!!!! Great reaction as always bro!😄😄😄 RichieC
Home Free is 🧨 and beautifully done, just beautiful, harmonies were great , then Chance and Tim did their thing at the end, then Adam was brilliant as always. This whole arrangement was just 📀🔥🔥📀🎼🎶🦋🎵
I love your reactions - you're just talking to your friends all the way through. And as for Rob and his bumpy, curvy road...! Thanks for noticing that Chance is just being part of the backbone of this song, maybe not being out there but holding it down.
Did you catch the car motor sounds leading into the harmony? Chance does the bass when Tim singing lead, they join that last big bass note! Great reaction by the way.
Love your reaction SR! This is beautiful and yes I agree with you that HF could stand in a field and just sing and it would be wonderful. These harmonies! Goodness! They were all good and loved Adam’s heartbeat sound and the video was beautiful. HF is amazing.
So many reactors miss Adam's heartbeat sound and it's such a piece of subtle perfection. Everyone was just beautiful. That double bass drop at the end was just the cherry on top.
The only way I know when it's Tim or Chance doing the bass, is when the other is singing lead. They're so seemlessly similar. And when they do the bass together, it's incredible.
And as always you plum tickle the daylights out of me! I do miss you calling Austin, Jesus. I thought for sure you were going to call him that on the last fancy run he did at the end of the song. Thank you again, and God bless , 🙏
"All Home Free have to do is stand in the grass and slay a song!" You're so right, sir! I never cared for any country music before seeing your reactions. To be honest, you've helped me see the true beauty in hundreds of songs by now and I'm so glad I started watching your channel!
I actually said this in Home Free's comment section when I watched the video the first time: Home Free doesn't just do covers, they do upgrades. That was just beautifully done. I also loved seeing Rob take the lead. We haven't really seen him take the lead in a while. I think a lot of people sleep on Rob, in favor of Tim or Austin, but Rob is just incredible!
You always catch something that I miss, which I thank you for. I had missed exactly what Adam was doing until you said it. I do know that when Tim is singing in his bass range you can see he is doing it because he tends to gesture. Especially octave changes for him. You can see it in many videos so if you are ever questioning. I first really noticed it in the "Honey I'm Good" video near the end when he hits those low bass notes. In "Do You Hear What I Hear?" You can watch his hand start high and move lower as his voice travels through his 5 octave range. It's really facinating. Great reactuon!
TSR, you so right, cain't do no wrong for me neither. Ya know, I've learned to expect utter excellence from these beasts, and I expect extra utter from the most recent stuff. But this? This was... beyond, waaaay beyond excellence, utter, extra, and otherwise. I don't know how they could've done it more perfectly, but I spect they'll show us how on the next one. Thanks for your reaction excellence and the theft-worthy quotes. I won't list em all but my two faves are "stand in the grass" and "I felt that in my feet". Yep, I'm stealin' at least one o those.
I have always believed that the true test of vocal talent is when you get just as much pleasure out of listening to a song as you do watching a video of the song. Home Free tick both boxes in spades. For most of their songs, I don't need a video. I can just close my eyes and just listen to them sing. One exception to that rule is "Go Rest High On That Mountain." That video has me in tears every time I watch it. P. S. I love your reactions.
This has to be their Masterpiece !!!! Their voices are just superb, all the adjectives apply. I cant begin to say what these five very talented men have meant to me. They have enriched my life and brought me through some trying times. I just Thank them to much !! Thanks for the great reaction.
Wait, pause! You bring my heart so much needed joy with your reactions to Home Free! You hear every note, every word, and know it's phenomenal! Luv you so much! 🤗❤
Ohio would be a long drive for me but I really want to go to one of their concerts with you. You express what I feel about them as if you're inside my head.
Love this song, love these guys. The harmonies so great, so perfect. The voices so incredibly awesome. And then the ending, Tim kills it. Love your reaction ❤
You are correct, sir. This group does what they do better than ANY other vocal group, with or without instruments. Just stand, and deliver pure, clear harmonies. I can listen to them all day long. I can't say that about other groups, with big vocal gymnastics or theatrics. Just sing!
I just realized you have not reacted to their version of John Mayer's "In The Blood." It truly is amazing. This one is good too...let's face it, there isn't much bad Homefree out there. 😊
Great reaction as always. I love how Austin does the dooo ooo ooo ooo in the beginning then Tim mirrors that in the rest of the song (but obviously several octaves lower). You are the only one so far of the reactors that caught Austin's doo ooo ooo ooo at the beginning. Had to laugh (yet agree) about them just standing in the grass & sang. Although, I caught Austin doing a slight dance. Pretty sure he cannot stand still with music playing. I ain't hatin on it though. Sometimes you just gotta move when the music moves you. 😉
Great review! You definitely have become a true Home Fry. Check out their parent honoring songs: Mom and the one Chance sings lead to honor fathers. Those songs are very moving. Each guy can sing anything.
Tim and Austin both seem to direct themselves with their hands. And when Chance is doing bass, he sort of half closes his eyes like he's in blissful concentration. But you have to remember that they're recording the actual music in a studio, and so it's possible to layer themselves in. Doing it live, they have to adapt.
Bruh I can't help but liking and commenting. It's easy to see that you ain't just frontin' for the sake of making a reaction video. You a true fan like the rest of us. I love that.
