Qian Mint Well, he indeed have the talent to be a main vocalist. And I can't say about the debut bc I went into kpop and Beast in 2013. But when I met them, all sources said that Yoseop was only main and Hyunseung lead (a few also say Kikwang was lead). And, honestly, they never let him act like a main vocalist. Didn't the position change when they debut? For example in CLC, Sengyeon was lead vocal, but after she get sick and Sorn gets better in the language, they change and Sorn is the lead now and Seungyeon a vocalist. But well, I guess you know them better, if you're here since debut. But her never gets chance to act not even like a lead vocalist. Just in one or other, but in an overall... Even Dongwoon acts more like a main vocalist than him... Are you sure that after debut he was still a main vocalist? I don't think so... When a main vocalist would have less lines than leads (Hyunseung and Dongwoon)?
well positions do change in kpop for instance taemin was given little to no lines when SHINee debuted but now he has his on solo album and dojoon was actually the lead rapper for beast. overall beast are very strong vocalists and sometimes line distributions doesnt mean giving the main vocals the most lines, it's about giving them the lines which are the hardest to execute. for example in some of snsd's songs you'll see tiffany and seohyun having more lines than taeyeon or in f(x) where sometimes krystal has the same amount of lines as Luna but usually the hardest parts go to the main vocals. for beast though tbh it's like 1 main rapper 1 main vocalist and 3 lead vocalists cause they're all really strong vocalists. if u listen to some none title tracks you'll realize that gikwang does get quite a number of lines but beast has very equal line distribution
