The duo of KSA and Bob Aladeniyi in the 70s cannot be comparable with KSA live in the 20s

Going by the guitar riffs of Bob Aladeniyi elegantly woven with Sunny Ade's lead guitar in a call-an-response fashion - I can say with a high degree of confidence that this live performance happened circa 1972.Accordingly you are right that it is KSA oldest live play on the web.well spotted!!

Thanks for renaming the live play Kwame Nkrumah. That was Tunde Alade on the talking drum, and Bob Aladeniyi on the second guitar. Good old days music.
It will be appreciated if you can get hold of the second phase of Awolowo 2 or any live play of Sunny Ade or other musician good live plays. Thanks for all your efforts.

No way king sunny ade music in the 80s does not sound this way,im very sure this sound is mid 70s or late 70s.

It sounds like this was performed during the early 1970s.
He was making references from the Ogun album which sounded similar to this live performance.

This is a 70's play. The Nkrumah song was a dirge for the deposed Ghanaian leader who died 27th April, 1972 and was in an LP that was released same year.
The tag is a wee misleading. Makes it look like KSA played at a live show for Kwame Nkrumah.

Hi Bunmi, you're right. I just got to listen to this over the weekend and it turned out that the cassette was wrongly tagged. Exact year still not known but definitely in the 70s. Thanks
