You can see his rotations are faster this year
Yuzu is clearly thinner this year. He had lost weight especially since spring. Even the costume is wide. I suspect that both weight gain and weight loss are all attempts to do 4A.
@@Agnieszka-sm6hd While I understand he must be doing it in a way that is as healthy as possible to not affect his health, I do feel a bit bad for him. Hes already so skinny...
@@Emeand33 Yes, he is very skinny. I think even more than in 2015 or 2018 (then he weighed 53 kg). I hope he is and will be healthy.

Maybe because he changed the speed a bit slower into his 4A and 3A, which resulted in higher jump and faster rotation. 🤔
4A is Yuzuru Hanyu's dream. One day when Yuzuru can land it perfectly, people who just can grumble will shut their mouth and silent. You should shame on yourself. I believe that people who talk bad about Yuzu's dream, they are full of hatred and probably they don't achieve anything in their life. If you really know how hard to achieve our dream, then you won't be easily criticize someone. It's better to be silent and just watch.
I've never seen anyone hating Yuzuru... How is that even possible?

2021 was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I would assume the music is exactly in sync, if so, 2021 was more musically precise. Every movement and jump is just in tune with every note.
Fascinating. I was not the biggest fan of this program (mainly the music) until this years nationals, it looks and feels much more powerful, gorgeous!
right? It hits totally different this year. His quality of movement is better, like he's done a 180 on his mindset.
I felt the same way too, both music and elements, but 2021 JNats changed my perspective of Tenchi...🙂

@@turtlefeesh the difference is in JNats 2021 the speed and element from the beginning up to the 4A didn't change even slightly....
The only difference is the opening version
早いなあフリー比較動画ね。前の方が点が高かったんだ。４A 分てことか。初めて見た時は中間の琴の音とステップが可憐すぎて目眩を起こしてましたが、(^_^;)今回は力強さを感じましたね。４Aで培った意志の強さとジャンプの力強さというか。プログラムに溶け込んで跳ぶ前にも工夫して加点をもらえる４Aを目指す羽生君。とんでもない究極の高み。彼の願いが叶いますように。

And for those of you who didn't feel/appreciate the music choice of (Ten to Chi= Sky and Earth)
theme music of TV drama series of life of the warlord Kenshin Uesugi who is actual historical
figure. His life was very complicated and conflicted all through is life.
As a clan leader he must fulfill his duty as a worrier but he also was a very cultured person
who wanted peace for his people.
So the music depicts all this epic story line and is fantastically arranged using ancient Biwa (not
Shamisen as someone mentioned before)
as well as Koto (horizontal harp) and fabulous orchestration with conventional western instruments.
It also allows the classic theater convention of Japan incorporating JO HA KYU which translates to
the beginning, the break (development), the conclusion.
And it's applied to every segments of the choreography as well as a whole (many mountains small and large that you must conquer and every battle you need to win to survive etc. etc. ).
I've never seen it applied and performed as beautifully as this program.
This can only be done by him and him (as a Japanese) alone. No one else could realized it.
I'm not at all nationalistic usually but as someone who was involved with classical Japanese theatre
for over 20 years I know what I'm talking about.
I'm just hoping this esthetic will carry over to all people in the world.
So that means this was his 2nd routine based on real life figure I recount? AFAIR, the first one was based on Abe no Seimei, hence said routine was called "SEIMEI".
I think it's Yuzuru's greatest masterpiece. It's so much larger than sport, it's high art and it cannot be evaluated in points. And l think that today Yuzuru is the greatest ambassador of Japanese culture, he has even inspired thousands, if not millions, of people to study Japanese. He is definitely the greatest figure skater ever and one of the greatest people ever.

Thank you so much for telling us about the "Heaven and Earth" program. I admire Yuzuru Hanyu, even though I found out of him not very long ago, but I completely agree with You, all Yuzuru's themes, the music he chooses is often Japanese, his costumes, sometimes with national features, and sometimes embodying the grace of ekibans, all this is organic for him. No one else will look natural if they copy his program. Yuzuru is special and individual, including because he is a child of his culture in the full sense of the word, he embodies the beauty of his country. I am not Japanese, but as a foreigner, it seems to me that Yuzuru is the embodiment of that subtle and mysterious beauty for which Japan is famous, he is a delicate sakura and a strong chrysanthemum, a flower on ice. My soul now especially hurts for the people in Japan, in connection with the cataclysm, I sincerely worry and wish that this disaster would end soon and people could heal their wounds. May Heaven have mercy on the Earth and all people in Japan and around the world.🙏🙏🙏

I feel like his filling movements were more relaxed 2020 (expecially before the 4A, but that's super understandable), but his jumps were much better 2021.
Thank you for sharing ❤ 😊, it's quite nice watching 2 Tenchi side by side I feel happy how he came so far to tackles all the challenges. And even though he's still 1/4 rotation short, but i t showed the day Yuzu going to conquer the 4A cleanly is approaching. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

国内戦の比較動画初めて見た。
えっ？そうですか？1年後的な感じで、比較されてる選手はよくいますよ。ジャンプ問題が話題になって、1年間で改善されているかって感じの動画もあるし、前回と同じプログラムで、ジャンプの種類やステップの位置と振り付けはどう違うか等を見たり。今回はたまたま国内戦の比較になっただけで、これは海外の大会であろうと、約1年後の動画であれば、別に条件は同じだと思います。なので、そこは別に拘らなくても良いかと思いますが…。
そうだとしても、私から見ると、この投稿者は、国際戦同士の比較動画をメインにして投稿しているイメージが強いです。

Being honest, do u guys think that he may win the olympics this year? Because i see Nathan scores, even when he fell twice, was bigger than yuzuru... i thought it was overscored but if this continue i don't know if yuzu will have a chance
Honestly no, unless he lands the 4A which he probably has at most a 1 in 15 chance of landing cleanly. Whether who wins or not we are still able to appreciate both of their performances and that's all that should matter 💕
I still don't like this FS although I don't hate it. I just find that there are some transitions where it seems that Yuzu loses his connection with the music because usually he becomes the music all through out. And it's not his fault, it's the music and how it's cut. That said, all the best Yuzu & I'm rooting for you!!!

Why is he skating the old program?
He said he like the music and wants to continue with the program to the Olympic season!
It's a common thing skater using old programs, and Yuzu does it few times too.
I don’t understand that, when you are a 2 time Olympic champion, you are held to a higher standard. I wanted to see smth different, I don’t know 🤷♀️
@@Vladi0310 😅😅😅 I don't know how to answer from his point of view. But imo he doesn't have to fulfills everyone expectations just because he's 2xOGM, because Yuzu already exceeded everyone expectations by staying on top of d game and podiums in his 12 years of senior circle. While most of skater tend to decline over the years or retired after the oly, but that's not the case when it comes to Yuzuru. And being 2xOGM does not mean he have to skates a new program each season right. But everyone expectations is just different from certain people or things, well I guess you have to be happy for his new sp only.
Many skaters recycled programs from last season bc almost every competition was cancelled and they didn’t get to skate them many times. Hanyu for example skated this program only three times. It’s also common for skaters to recycle programs they are attached to. And it’s better to recycle the same program than skating the same choreo to different music and calling it a new one like some Russians do lol
True sign of champion skater for repeating every single element as precise and beautiful as
a year ago except a new addition of 4A instead of 4L. And very minimum adjustment in choreo
at the beginning till 3L. if anything this time it's slightly better in height and rotation of jumps.
Now he can decide whether to do 4A or 4L.
Nathan and Vincent or anyone else who challenges him must be absolutely spot on if Hanyu
skate it clean with 4A and maybe even 4L.
choreographically no one is close this season. and his PCS was a little low but Japanese
federation is known to undermine their skaters.

@@santiagovelamorales1029 true, nothing is impossible when it comes to Yuzuru Hanyu if he put his mind to it.
One channel said that if he stay with the quad loop as the opening quad his total score will be like about 331 points haha. The quad axel here was downgraded to a a triple axel with a negative grade of execution, so that’s why his score is only 4.11 points
