How do you describe Wayne Newton? To his devoted fans, he is an insanely talented musician who embodies classic showmanship. For others, he is a living breathing cartoon character drawn from a bygone era, something Damon Runyon would conjure up if he had been from Vegas. The truth is probably both to some degree but what is undeniable is that he is showbiz history. Who's alive today that can say they worked with Jack Benny, George Burns, Jackie Gleason, Ed Sullivan, Elvis Presley and Bob Hope, hung out with the Rat Pack and was in the inner circle with Howard Hughes? Here is a 1995 interview we did with Wayne (and his dog) from Resorts. It hasn't been seen since 1996.
