For volunteer interviews most likely than not you will be accepted as long as they don’t have like 50 people willing to volunteer. As long as you don’t do anything that really stands out as sub par
I have been a ward volunteer for a few months, its great, all i will advise is just be yourself, be open for your reasons of wanting to do the role, I attended a group introduction by my local health service in Wales (but will vary i expect by region so may differ for yourself) where we were then put into groups to complete some fun simple tasks, then was a 1 on 1 interview on a separate day (don't be phased, it was friendly, just dress presentable ( i wore trousers, shirt and jumper but obviously personal choice what you think is best appropriate for yourself)), if your successful and obviously if you feel the role is for you also now you know more about it then the DBS and I.D checks and health check to do and then an induction day and tour then off to go a few times shadowing an experienced person already in the role. then when you are ready to go it alone they will say go ahead if everyone is happy. sounds alot but its a great experience, rewarding and enjoyable. I would thoroughly recommend it.
Thinking about pursuing a career in the medical field but I'm not sure so I was wondering that maybe I should start volunteering this summer and the rest of the year to see if I like the environment and to gain some experience, great video and thanks for sharing.
Ritsu_oAo you should def do it! I after volunteering I learned that I don’t want to be a nurse but rather a veterinarian. A lot of the nurses that I worked with where rude to patients and family members and I could never work with people like that
Yeppy 01 the hospital I volunteered at was a private hospital so I can only speak for that hospital. the only thing that surprised me was how they where always understaffed even in the ER, but if you have any specific questions fell free to ask and I’ll answer them the best I can
How many months are you gonna volunteer for? And does volunteering has age limit. I'm 17 now and a sophomore at Lone Star community college. I would be transferring in either fall 2019 or spring 2020 for my bsn program. So in trying to get some hands on experience and sort
hummm.....i don't think they tested me for anything but i do think that on the short application they made me fill out after the interview it asked about drugs.
Lol I’m literally just seeing this. They will not make you wipe butts as a volunteer 😂😂 the most you’ll do is pick up dirty dishes and put em on a cart

Thanks brother for the video. Wish me luck on my turn. Hope to see you in the M Field.
What do you think is the difference between choosing a private verses a public hospital when it comes to volunteering??
Yeppy 01 the hospital I volunteered at was a private hospital so I can only speak for that hospital. the only thing that surprised me was how they where always understaffed even in the ER, but if you have any specific questions fell free to ask and I’ll answer them the best I can
After volunteering and getting to know people , along with gaining experience - Where you able to get a job at the hospital?

Justina Benson most hospitals allow 16 year olds and older but they usually have that information on their website so you can try looking it up
I want to volunteer but I feel scared
Thank you!
Did you get tested for certain things the day of your interview or or once you got called back
